We broke down in Baker. Danny was initially friendly but he charges $95 for a look plus $40 per day for storage, which he did not disclose. For a transmission he quoted me $2,000 for a used one or $2,800 for a refurbished one, when most quotes I got in Thousand Oaks were for $2,000 for a full rebuild. When I told him I would have the car towed, he became abusive, unommunicative, and would hang up. Then, even though h... view moree says he takes credit cards, he insisted on cash or Western Union. He was abusive with my wife and made her cry. If you are stuck there, try and cut a deal to store your car at one of the gas stations until you can tow it. Avoid Danny if you possibly can.
