It`s called Quality,...for that reason, It`s Quality!
I`t s very frustrating when your vehicle breaks down, it`s even worse when it happens away from home and your local surroundings. That`s what happened to us last month with our 05 Chevy Suburban. After a nice day @ the Monterey Aquarium we were gassing up to go on our 2+ hr trip back home. Getting on the freeway I felt a very strange bang and slipping then the check engine light came on so I hit the next exit. (the T... view moreransmission Gods were nice that day) because right off the Freeway we see an old yellow sign that read. Quality Tranmission. I ended up meeting Mike, the service writer he made me feel at home and Gary the guy who gave me all the technical information was extremley helpful. He did tell me that our Suburban would probably need a rebuild, but they made me feel so comfrotable I was o.k. with that. Besides that gave us an excuse to spend an extra day in Monterey. Mike drove us to a nice hotel, we got a discount rate, had some Bubba Gumps that night and called it a day. The next day around 3p.m. Mike called and said, ""I got good news and bad news"",... ""the good news is, it did not need a rebuild and is ready, the bad news is you got to go back home now LOL"" we were on our way back home that afternoon,...my hats off to Mike, Gary and the crew @ Quality Trans, no one likes breaking down but my experience could not be any better

Expensive screw
I had a new transmission installed about two years ago. I am from out of town and had to go to a shop with a national `presence`. However, he charged me close to 5 grand and now two years later my `brand new transmission` is leaking like hell. Shoddy parts? Shoddy workmanship? Who knows. If someone is going to take that much money from you, then they should give you a LIFETIME warranty. Take your car somewhere else.
