Car-Max con game...

I went to car-max with a 2005, Chevy 2500HD dura-max diesel, Allison trans., 5" lift kit, Mickey Thompson wheels, bed tow package, rhino lining, leather seats, fully loaded! 123k miles They had the nerve to make me an offer of 11k for my truck! I was very insulted by such a low ball offer- this truck looks like new! Then they tried to sell me a bottom line beetle, 2010, 49k miles, the key wouldn`t turn the ... view moreignition with out wiggling the steering wheel and fussing with it. They said as is! The were asking $14,500 for it. We just told them we are out of here. I bet you would love to make 8k off of my truck and sell me a worn out car for 5k too much! My wife said lets go to a VW dealer and see what the will offer you. I thought for sure they would low ball too, but gave "Family Motors" a try. First off they were not sleazy feeling in anyway from the start. I told the salesman I wanted a beetle and use my truck to absorb the cost of the beetle and keep any financing to a min. They appraised my truck at 15k! And got me 7.9 financing with Volkswagen . I bought a 2012, 2.0L Turbo Beetle with 12k miles, extended 60 month warranty for 274.00 a month. My cell phone bill is $6.00 more than that a month. They were great to work with and totally respectful and classy at all times. I walked out of there feeling like they "helped" me achieve my goal on my terms. Not like they were try to take advantage of me. Stay away from car-max, try family motors, talk to "Chuy", Very knowledgable and if he says it can be done, he means it! Best buying experience I`ve ever had. Now, excuse me, but I`m going to go drive my new car!

Not happy

The sales people where nice the managers are idiots they are rude and they approved me and I was ready to leave with a new car and last minute the said my job history wasn`t sufficient I was so mad and was counting on it to get me to my new job not happy
