I took my truck to Fryars transmission b/c word of mouth advertising. Taking my lifted 4x4 to this shop thinkin I would be spending $1800.00 b/c reverse went out in my truck. To my suprise they called me later that day to say my truck was done and all it was was a rear ujoint locked up. My transmission only needed a service and my transfer case was low on fluid. They did replace both ujoints, serviced my tranny and f... view moreilled my transfer case for $388.88. I would have to say these people are very honest. They couldve replaced my tranny and i wouldve never known the difference. I would recommend them to anyone. Fair pricing, great customer service and HONESTY, the most importnant things when looking for a car repair place, and Fryars has all that.

A good friend brought them a truck for a new clutch install, and provided the new clutch kit. He was charged (gouged) $350 for a 30 minute job that wasn`t even required. It turned out the clutch was okay, as they put the old clutch in th back of the truck.. it had lots of clutch left on it. The clutch just needed adjusted. But they didn`t mention that, they just installed the new one. Worst of all, three days after p... view moreicking up the truck, the transmission started tearing gears apart. The truck was brought back to them. I gave my friend a ride to pick up his truck after they said it had broken a gear, they were not responsible and come get it, and Mr. Fryar was extremely rude; unwilling to accept any responsibility or diagnose without further payment. When stated `Well, I guess I`ll just have to drive it like it is for a while" Mr Fryer`s response was "Yeah... I guess you will..." Fryar`s are a dishonest transmission shop. They have no interest in the customer whatsoever, only money. They will not tell you if it can be fixed for less. And now, that truck is at another shop, in need of a whole new transmission due to an improperly installed clutch. Beware.
