Midas customer for life

I got my engine replaced 2 months ago and my oil was low and my front end was smoking so I stopped at Midas on Tanque Verde. I asked them for an oil change and the gentleman behind the counter asked if I had an appointment. I told him no and explained what was going on with my car. Within 5 minutes they had my car in the garage and about 10 minutes later came and told me they could not do an oil change. The gentl... view moreeman proceeded to ask me where I had the engine replaced and that there was oil coming from my intake and manifold. He pulled out his flashlight and showed me the oil. He told me I needed to take it back to where I purchased the engine ""Jim Click` and have them fix it because something was obviously not done correctly. He topped off my oil anyway and told me exactly what to tell Jim Click and did not charge me a dime! He even apologized for what I was having to go through and told me to make Jim Click give me a rental car. Such wonderful, friendly, honest people, I will be a Midas customer form life!!

Rip Off Experts

I was told my water pump was out after dropping my truck off for a routine oil change. I declined the work, took the truck to my regular (honest) mechanic, who said the water pump was fine - but noticed the wiper blades needed to be replaced. Funny, Midas had charged me $27 to replace and install new ones only the week before! These clowns should be out of business permanently. Re-used parts

Recent went there and talked to a friendly guy Dustin. I had my oil changed, and my A/C checked. A week later, approximately 168 miles later. One morning my car wouldn`t start. I checked the engine, and the oil was over filled by 1.5cm, approximately 1 quart. Which most people know overfilling oil is bad. I had to change the spark plugs since oil got all into it. When I changed the oil myself(I have back issues which... view more is why I take my car in), the oil was pitch black like 3000 mile oil. The filter was used with scuffs on all sides. If I did not catch this when I did the costs would of been extremely high. So I did what a typical customer would do, call and complain about it. I got rude service from the manager Dustin, who eventually hung up on me over a 26.99 oil change. I DO NOT RECOMMEND going to Midas at all. I will not get my 40 dollars back, + time and parts to fix it on my own, but I will make sure no one else has this problem against. DO NOT TRUST THE MIDAS touch. The company is in Chapter 11 bankruptcy and will do anything to ripoff, cut corners, and cheat people out of their money. Even one person can make a difference.

Disappointing

Sloppy work. Did not have parts available for a common car type and the wait was long for that. Didn`t reset the oil light like I asked them to. They fixed my window but it wasn`t working again within a week. They adjusted belts which were squeaking again within 2 days. I went back twice and they never did fix it right.
