Outstanding and Knowledgeable

My wife and I took our `95 Jeep Cherokee to the dealer for an oil leak, where they tried nailing us several thousand dollars for a new engine. A good friend of my wife`s referred us to Cathedral, where they discovered we did NOT need an engine ... we only needed an oil pan and rear main seal, to the tune of only about $500 instead of thousands the dealer tried to get out of us. UTTERLY AMAZING SHOP!!!!!

Upon reading the one other review on this site from ""Femme,"" I had to post my own extremely POSITIVE review of this amazing shop!!! For YEARS I have driven 35 miles one way just to have my vehicles worked on here. The same reliable, honest and talented staff has been here since the late 90`s, and I wouldn`t trust my cars with anyone but these guys! This place knows what ""the golden rule"" means, and I`m offend... view moreed by what ""Femme"" had to say. When I questioned the staff at Cathedral as to what in the world that was all about, they explained that they were simply test driving another vehicle in an effort to hear/diagnose a noise another customer`s car was making when turning, so they took it to a cul de sac where they could make a continuous turn in order to detect the noise... a cul de sac they`ve used to help them diagnose vehicles like this for YEARS. In other words, Femme, you`re a loony tunes with a wild imagination, and shame on you for your libelous and disparaging remarks about such an outstanding group of guys. Those of us who have actually been dealing with this place for 10+ years know the truth!

I had an incident with the OWNER as well. I am a Block Watch Capt, in the neighborhood that is North of his shop. I saw him in a cul de sac, where there are 2 schools, 1 Boys and Girls Club, and a large public park...going in circles in the cul de sac. I was very angry because I have to listen and see people doing donuts everyday and night. I took down the pl... view moreate number and on my way out of the neighborhood, ended up going the same way as he did....he pulled right into Cathedral Automotive. I got out and emotionally said ""Don`t come into my neighborhood and do donuts in the 30th St cul de sac"". He then got right back at me, which is fine, I can handle a heated discussion. As his workers realized there was a situation (I am female mind you) 3 guys from the bay came out flipping me off and surrounding my car. I called the Police. While on the phone with 911, the owner, hit my drivers side window with a large metal object, then tried to open my car door! Really? It was locked thank God....PD came and he sure didn`t mention that he tried to get in my car and hit my window screaming at me. I would stay away from these thugs! If you are reading this (owner) stay out of my neighborhood, it may be ghetto, but there are lots of people like me that care about what goes on. I would love to talk to the customer who`s truck he was driving, and tell him what had happened.
