Shouldn`t even be working on cars
Recently I bought a groupon for an autostart, I wanted a better model so I upgraded to the mile range for an extra $300, I skipped on getting the alarm portion cause that would cost an extra $300. The other night I left my keys in the car and took just the autostart key fob while I was working so I wouldn`t have to carry all my keys.. Well when I went to unlock my car the autostart would say it`s unlocked, but would ... view morenot unlock my car.. So I called car toyz (about 10-15 times before they finally answered) and he told me that if you lock the doors while they`re still open then the autostart will not unlock the car, and that most customers don`t know that.. I asked him why I wasn`t told when I bought my $500 autostart that this was a problem he replied that he didn`t know my car had a factory alarm system.. You would think that someone who works on cars for a living would know that a 2010 model car has a factory alarm system, or that he would`ve at least checked when he was installing the autostart.. These people have no idea what they`re doing and have terrible customer service, the least he could have done was pay for the $35 I had to pay a cab to break into my car.. Especially since he installed a $200 autostart and charged over $300 for installation.. If you charge that much then you should install it 100% perfect and at least walk through common problems and how to use the autostart. Do not reccommend this place and wish I could get my money back.

I bought a groupon for a remote start but I ended up upgrading for a two way and paid $200 but it was well worth it and I have to say it got me through the brutal winter w/o freezing my behind lol! Staff were very very friendly and helpful...they were extremely busy with all the groupon but they made sure my car was ready for me just in time. Highly recommend!!! Thanks guys!

Very disappointing. I bought a groupon for autostart. When I came to install it, they said I have to pay $100 extra for a bypass unit. After it was done, my new seat cover was very dirty on the drivers side (it`s genuine sheep skin, so I cannot wash it). Later I found out that the trunk cannot be opened when the car is auto started. They said I have to pay extra $66 to be able to open the trunk. So many additional co... view morests they don`t tell you about. I would never go back and would not recommend my friends to use their services.

Took my car to get full window tinting here based off of price and location. Had to take my car back 2 more times after the initial tinting due to fuzz, hair, etc. getting stuck in the tint. I was not the first priority for scheduling either. The 2nd time getting fixed, I was never called to let me know my car was ready until I called them 30 minutes before closing. Then I was told they were leaving and wouldn`t b... view moree there by the time I got there since it was rush hour and 5:30 already. I got my car without anybody there to confirm they corrected what was wrong. And as I found out, the 2nd tint had a lot of fuzz in 2 of the windows. The 3rd time, what seemed to be the owner, finally made my window tint looking great on the remaining two windows. The extra trips was a lot of hassel and time. Both gentlemen were easy to talk to each time I worked with them, but I just didn`t get a complete job the first time around. Now my windows look wonderful, but I wish I would have gone somewhere else.

Great!! New owner and staff
I had my truck tinted and a remote start put in. I had a lil doubt after reading reviews but checked out their website and it said new ownership so I gave them a try and I`m so happy I did!! The tint was perfect and my remote start works great...I`m going to go back for a sound system. Thanks!!

Through the Court house I found out the owner has been sued multiple Times!!!1
I went into Car Toyz December 17th and booked an apointment for December 23, 2008 For a full Window tint for my car and an audio system also. I was very up front with the owner John Lujon. ( big time mistake) I told him I am female and i don`t know anything about electronics so I asked him to give me everything I need to get my audio system banging. Well he was very professional about taking my money lol. ($1,400) ... view more
I even asked a female associate about warrantys and she said there was a warranty on everything except remote starters. the invoice stated so also. when the work was done I picked my car up after hours, I loved the tint . ( give credit where credit is due) However when I cranked my car there was not even the slightest bump or boom! but me not knowing much about electronics I thought that`s what one 12"" sub sounds like. I didn`t know for three weeks that I was riding around listening to my car factory system until a guy friend told me that the speaker wasn`t even on. So I called car toyz they said to bring it in I did the owner came out and said I blew the speaker and I asked him how could I ruin it when there was never a bump or boom then he said well whoever drove your car blew the speaker . I told him I`m single and the sole driver of that car. Then the unbelievable happended this man the owner (John Lujon ) stooped Down kind of in my face and said ""WELL I AIN`T GIVING YOU NUTHIN FREE"" clearly imitating me because I`m a young african american woman from the south. I told him politely I didn`t want anything free, and that all I wanted was him to stand behind his product like a good business man would. I told him I would pursue legal action. I didn`t because I work 6 days a week and since everything else was fine except the speaker I decided it wasn`t worth it. So I went over to pyramid audio they installed Two 12"" speakers cheaper, faster and great customer service. Now John and his staff at car toyz can hear me before they see me. LMAO

Great work! Thanks guys
I was referred to Car Toyz back in Feb. 08 for my window tint and remote start. But I really didn`t want to drive all the way to Anchorage. I finally made the appointment and had my Chrysler 300 tinted and the remote start put in last week. I am very happy with the work and the customer service was great. I had a friend pick me up and take me to the Bear Tooth to pass time. They knew that I was from the Valley, so th... view moreey said that they would pull my vehicle in first. They did and I was back home before rush hour traffic. Very nice people.

Good work and great customer service
I had a very good ecperience with these guys. I had my 2005 Audi A4 tinted at Car Toyz in March and my 2004 Explorer tinted this month. They were pretty fast. Both my cars look great. I had to wait for the Tundra and they put a movie in their TV display for me to pass time. I thought that was pretty cool. I will be going back for an auto start in October.

Terribly unprofessional job, no recourse through customer service (which was BAD)
*Here is a copy of the letter I drafted to Car Toyz after my horrible experience with them (I was considering legal action at the time but due to school and work requirements I was unable to pursue it)*
To Whom It May Concern:
I am the owner of the 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX that recently received window tint installation at Car Toyz on August 8, 2007 (Invoice No. 1775). After service was performed and th... view moree adequate time was given for the tint to dry, I was left unsatisfied with the job done for multiple reasons, including the following:
? Large and inconsistent gaps near window edges
? Bubbles in the tint on the majority of the windows
? Dirt in the tint
? Inadequate cutting of tint on the sunroof
? Extremely premature peeling on front passenger side window
? Marking on farthest rear driver?s side window
? Excessive and unprofessional marking on the rear window
After receiving a professional second opinion, as well as multiple reasonable people?s opinions, unanimously declaring the job unprofessional and unacceptable, I felt justified in a refund. When I pointed out the flaws in the walk-through that was scheduled and carried out on August 14, 2007 I was offered excuses and technical explanations that did little to explain as to why the flaw occurred leading me to believe incompetence. My two choices were to allow it to be redone or to do nothing and take a loss of $259.00 plus the cost it will take to remove the unacceptable tint.
I do not find it unreasonable to refuse an offer of having it redone by the same person, under the same unacceptable standards that allowed it to be done so unprofessionally in the first place. Some of the actions taken to my car (excessive marking) led to my feeling that an ethical violation had occurred in this professional relationship and that the opportunity for ?cure? was thus extinguished.

Thanks!
I had my remote start and window tint done by these guys. The price was right and the service was very good. I just have not found both good pricing and good service at the same place too often.
