Reviews:
Shady - Don`t Take Any Repair Advice
This review requires that I click a star - I`d give themero stars if I had the choice, though. We had a tire go bad on the highway over the July 4 weekend; pulled into this Big 10 on Skyline in Tuscaloosa, right off the I-59. The manager, Jerry, was solicitious and overly friendly.
After selecting a tire, I went to the window that looks out from the main store into the shop, and Jerry told me, jokingly, that he wo... view moreuld have to charge me more for watching and stood waiting until I moved away from the window.
In a few minutes, he called us up to the counter to tell us, gravely, that the mechanic had seen oil all over the right CV boot and he was concerned about us going out on the road without changing out the whole CV axle.
He didn`t know that I`d had some belts changed the day before and that the car had been up on the rack at my very competent mechanic`s shop. We said we`d get it checked out later, and he once more urged us to reconsider, as we could be unsafe.
We confirmed this days later while getting some other work done - verdict: there is absolutely nothing wrong with the axle, no oil leaking, no torn boot, nothing. I`m glad I listened to my instincts; that manager had the personality of a television evangelist crossed with a carnival barker. Avoid this place, or stick just to buying tires.

Buyer Beware
Went in with a strange noise that was quickly diagnosed as a bad bearing in my alternator.
3 hours and $400 dollars they charged me and still made no difference in the noise.
They tried to make it about me. Wanted me to "accept" that it was an older car and that it is possible that MULTIPLE things had gone wrong all on the same day.
I`ll take it to Barley GMC down the road.
at Barley`s - They ... view moremake you feel like family even if you do have out of state plates.
Avoid BIg 10 for any repairs.
I would not have gone there except it was Labor Day Weekend and I drive my car every day for work andit was the only day I had.
Take the time- use the dealer.
