I wanted to share this with you in hopes of gaining some recognition for the unbelievable efforts made by this local business to help my UA son and I in the aftermath of the horrific tornado that struck Tuscaloosa. I praise them for their humanity and would like everyone in your community to know about what they did for us in a time of crisis.
I sent this letter to the mayor.
Mr. Mayor,
My son ... view morewas one of the blessed ones that made it home to us safe and alive!
I have to share this with you because I am still in awe of how this ANGEL helped me get my son back home. They deserve some type of medal or recognition for going above and beyond in a time of crisis. I praise them for their humanity and hope that everyone in your community knows about what they did for us.
Tuscaloosa Chevrolet is amazing there! DJ, the service manager jumped through hoops to get my son?ˆ™s car repaired to get him home to us! I don?ˆ™t know his last name.
My son?ˆ™s car had been towed the morning this tornado hit because it wouldn?ˆ™t shift gears. He is a student at UA and braved this horrific tornado in the basement of his dorm. Tuscaloosa Chevrolet was going to have to wait for back ordered parts that could take weeks, so he fixed my son?ˆ™s car well enough for him to make the drive to Texas. All of my son?ˆ™s friends had already packed up and left campus and he was left there alone with no car.
DJ offered to take cash to my son, fly him home, get him a rental despite my son being 18, he was willing to do whatever we needed. Offered to drive him to the airport, pick him up, and when my son did pick up his vehicle, DJ made sure it was filled with hard to find gas. He also called me TODAY to make sure my son made it home safely.
I will ALWAYS remember his compassion and concern for us, total strangers to him. This is what going above and beyond customer service represents and I am forever grateful to him!
I am praying for everyone affected by these horrific tornados and will continue to lift T-Town and Sweet Home Alabama up in prayer.

I`m just 16 but the salesman took time to work with me
I`m just 16 and looking for a truck - I went several places, I won`t mention, and because my parents weren`t with me it seemed the salesmen just blew me off. The salesman at Tuscaloosa Chevrolet was real nice and treated me like a real customer. It will be the first place I take my parents.
