Tire scam

I purchased the tire warranty when I bought my 2011 528i. I took my car for maintenance of seat calibration, my car had about 21,000 miles, and I was told I needed new back tires at $1,000.00 a piece. I told them let me call my husband. I got to the waiting room and called him, and a lady over heard what I was saying. When I ended my call she said, "that`s strange, they told me the exact same thing and told that... view more old couple sitting over there the same thing also." Well the man came in and told me that the wear on my tires disqualified me for the coverage from the warranty. "Wear? I`m a stay at home mom. I run grocery errands and pick kids up from school." "Well, you must have been driving the car to hard." Really? I thought I bought a BMW, not a hooptie. Funny thing is when I had a Lexus from Tom Williams, they told me the exact same thing at 23000 miles. And they wanted to replace 2 tires at 1000 a piece. What are the chances? This has to be the most obvious scam I have ever seen. Now if I get a flat or anything goes wrong with the tire, since BMW already told me I needed them replaced, the warranty doesn`t cover anything.

Service

I have had good service and customer service over the last two years with my BMW. Nice facilities and courteous help to get me going. However, now that I am selling my car, I find out that Tom Williams doesn`t report records to CARFAX and almost everyone who has called about my car is worried there is something wrong with my car or they feel uncertain about looking at it due to the missing CARFAX records. By far the best experience

This was my first experience with the service dept. From the initial phone call to make the appointment through the time I picked up my vehicle after service, all the staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to assist me. The appointment setter really went out of her way to give me the information about the service process and the service history on my car. My service advisor was great and kept me infor... view moremed on the progress on my car at least daily. Everyone was very friendly and it was by far the best experience I have had with an automobile service dept.
