Up for auction is a beautiful shiny white colored 2010 Scion xB Base Wagon with 41,000 very low miles. The xB has a standard 2.4L inline-4 gasoline engine with Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i), coming with 158 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. This 5-door xB is a front-wheel drive. The xB delivers a good, well-controlled ride combined with responsive handling. 2010 xB come standard with 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes. Electronic stability control, traction control, brake assist, performance tires and a full array of air bags are also standard. The xB interior offers a roomy back seat for two or three adults. The air conditioning is really cold and works good. Also included is cruise control, power doors, windows and mirrors, privacy glass with black-tinted vent visor protect you with rain, and steel wheels with nice Toyota factory wheel covers on it. The standard 160-watt Pioneer audio system features MP3 and WMA compatibility, digital media player connectivity and a mini-jack input. It also displays playlist information, to include track, artist and album information. Audio controls on the steering wheel are standard. I have some after-market stuff like matching seat covers, steering wheel cover, and matching floor mats. All of the blue color matches and looks nice at night when the lights are on. I have ordered the daylight for the headlights, interior blue lights, and the blue tag lights. Some of these matching blue lights are already installed and some are in the back of the trunk, like you see. The blue color looks really cool in the night time. I put the seat cover on the seats, but there is nothing wrong with the seats. The seats are black and are in excellent shape. Too much to list, but there are a lot of extras that go with the car. It's really a good deal. Whoever buys it, it will be a great gift. The title has been repaired, but is clear now and ready to be transferred to a new one. The insurance company salvaged the title, only 12% damage was on the driver side of the rear end. It has been repaired professionally in the body shop. DMV inspected and cleared the title. I replaced the rear bumper and back-up break light. The body shop worked on the quarter rear panel by the rear tire and fixed it professionally. Im gonna put some extra pictures on ebay to make sure it clears everything. So far, this little Scion xB is in a very good shape after a minor repair. It runs a 100% without any problems. Look at my feedbacks and bid with confidence. There's a $500 deposit required as soon as auction is over, and that is non-refundable. Good luck bidding, you can contact or text me (540)434-9287.

Weekly Recap: GM scales back as Russian auto market teeters
Sat, Mar 21 2015General Motors' extensive plans to scale back its Russian operations are the latest sign the automotive market in the former superpower is collapsing – and there are few signs of recovery. GM said Wednesday it will stop selling mainstream Chevrolets and shutter the entire Opel brand in Russia. The moves leave GM with a luxury-focused presence consisting of Cadillac and Chevrolet's Corvette, Camaro and Tahoe. The cutbacks will be completed by the end of the year. The automaker will also idle its factory in St. Petersburg and end a contract-assembly agreement with Russian manufacturer GAZ. "We had to take decisive action in Russia to protect our business," Opel Group CEO Karl-Thomas Neumann said in a statement. "We confirm our outlook to return the European business to profitability in 2016 and stick to our long-term goals." GM is the latest automaker to scale back in Russia as the economic conditions, volatile currency and uncertainty over the conflict in the Ukraine all have sandbagged new car sales. Last month, vehicle sales collapsed 38 percent in Russia to 128,298 units, according to the Association of European Business, which records sales. Joerg Schreiber, chairman of the AEB automobile manufacturers committee, didn't even feign optimism in a statement announcing the figures. "The market is entering a very difficult phase now, and February is only the beginning," he said. "Industry sentiment is the next few months will be extremely difficult and the market bottom has yet to be found." The dovetails with industry experts, who predict the Russian auto sector will remain in the doldrums. IHS said earlier this year it expects Russia's sales to slip to just 1.8 million units in 2015, which is a 40-percent drop from 2012. Other News & Notes Chief leads Jeep's Easter Safari stable Jeep is bringing seven attention-getting concepts to Moab for its annual Easter Safari off-roading celebration in Utah, but the Chief is perhaps the standout of the group. It salutes the 1970s Cherokee with a throwback appearance and surfer styling cues. The Chief has a custom modified razor grille made famous by the Wagoneer, and it rolls on 17-inch slotted mag wheels. The surf theme comes in with ocean blue paint, floral cloth and leather seats and a tiki-style shifter handle. Based on the Jeep Wrangler, the Chief has removable sides, a 3.6-liter V6 engine and a six-speed manual gearbox.
Scion was slain by Toyota, not the Great Recession
Wed, Feb 3 2016Scion didn't have to go down like this. Through the magic of hindsight and hubris, it's easier to see what went wrong. And what might have been. What the industry should understand is this: Scion wasn't a losing proposition from the get-go. Its death is due to negligence and apathy. This is more than just the failure of a sub-brand. It's the failure of a company to deliver new and compelling products over an extended period of time. Toyota will point to the Great Recession as the reason it hedged its bets and withdrew funding for new vehicles, instead of using that as an opportunity to redouble efforts. This was as good as a death warrant, although myopically no one realized it at the time. Sadly, GM's Saturn experiment was a road map for this exact form of failure. No one at Toyota seemed to think the Saturn experience was worth protecting their experimental brand from. Or they weren't heard. Brands live and die on product. Somehow, Scion convinced itself that its real success metric was a youthful demographic of buyers. It seems like this was used to gauge the overall health of the brand. Look at the aging and uncompetitive tC, which Scion proudly noted had a 29-year-old average buyer. That fails to take into account its lack of curb appeal and flagging sales. Who cares if the declining number of people buying your cars are younger? Toyota is going to kill the tC thirteen years [And two indifferent generations ... - Ed.] after it was introduced. In that time, Honda has come out with three entirely new generations of the Civic. Scion wasn't a losing proposition from the get-go. Its death is due to negligence and apathy. At launch, the brand could have gone a few different ways. The xB was plucky, interesting, and useful – a tough mix of ephemeral characteristics – but the xA didn't offer much except a thin veneer of self-consciously applied attitude. That's ok; it was cute. Enter the tC, which managed to combine sporty pretensions with decent cost. It took on the Civic Coupe in the contest for coolness, and usually managed to win. More importantly, an explicit brand value early on was a desire to avoid second generations of any of its models, promising a continually evolving and fresh lineup. At this point, the road splits. Down one lane lies the Scion that could have been. After a short but reasonable product lifecycle, it would have renewed the entire lineup.
Mazda CX-5 named Japan's Car of The Year, Subaru BR-Z wins "Special Award"
Mon, 03 Dec 2012The Mazda CX-5 stamped its Kodo design and SkyActiv technology authority all over the Japan Car of the Year awards, taking the top prize ahead of the Subaru BRZ/Toyota GT 86. It is Mazda's second victory in the last ten years, the 2005 MX-5 claiming the same trophy, and the fourth time the Hiroshima company has won.
The award is decided by 60 local "automotive experts and journalists," and open to any passenger car released in Japan from November 1, 2011 to October 31, 2012 that has sold more than 500 units. Each judge gets 25 votes, his or her top vote getting 10 points, the rest of the points being spread among the judge's choice for the next best four cars.
The second-place getters were the Toyobaru twins with 318 votes, the surprise being they didn't beat or get any closer to the crossover. The Subaru BRZ did claw some mojo back, earning the Special Award given to cars that have made "an exceptional impact." The BMW 3 Series was third overall and won the Import Car of the Year award with plenty of room between it and the second place Range Rover Evoque.
