2008 Scion Xb Automatic 18" Wheels on 2040-cars

Year:2008 Mileage:81256 Color: The Dark Blue paint is in great condition
Location:

2008 Scion XB

We purchased this Scion for my wife from a local Chevy Dealer in mid 2008 with only 8,000 miles on it. The person that traded it in upgraded it with the 18" wheels currently on it and added the suspension. The stance is slightly lower than stock but the ride is great. The reason for the trade in was he needed a larger vehicle for work so he traded the Scion in on a new Tahoe.

This has been her pride and joy. The original intent was to hand the Scion down to our daughter when she became of driving age in a couple years. Unfortunately the need for a larger passanger vehicle (Mini Van) got in the way of that plan. She hates to get rid of it but it doesn't make any since to let it sit for a couple years until our daughter starts driving.

The XB has been a great car always located in Southern California. Excellent gas mileage. It seems to have a lot of power for a car in its class. The motor is the same one used in the 4 cylinder Toyota Camery. It has been serviced on a regular basis and routine oil changes.

Currently the XB has new tires, New Battery and New Brakes.

Exterior: The Dark Blue paint is in great condition. It has the normal wear. A couple small dings but nothing major. These can easily be removed with paintless dent removal.

Interior: Amazingly spacious. Seats 5 comfortably and has lots of room for lugage. The interior is like new. Non smoker. Black Cloth seats. All lights and guages work properly. Carpet is in great shape. Original floor matts are still in it and in great shape. Even has the rear carpeted floor matt.

Underside: The underside is in great shape. No leaks.

Engine: Runs strong with no noises. No leaks. all Accessories work properly. A/C Blows Cold

Trans: The Automatic shifts smoothly as it should.

2014 Scion tC

Wed, 14 May 2014

Once upon a time, the Scion brand sought to bring more youthful buyers into the Toyota stable. In the early 2000s, Scion launched with its plucky xA and xB hatchbacks, and a lot of people bought into its affordable, customizable, funky lineup - myself included. I was once the proud owner of a 2006 xB, and though the box-on-wheels wasn't really a proper enthusiast machine by any means, I loved its unique driving dynamics, clever packaging and fresh style.
Following those two hatches, Scion released its tC coupe - a modestly sporty little thing that stayed true to the brand's core values of being affordable, neat-looking and endlessly customizable. People really dug the first-generation tC, and with good reason - it offered a bit more personality than a comparable Honda Civic Coupe, effectively the only other two-door compact then on the market from Japan. And for folks who wanted a sporty, low-cost two-door, the tC was a pretty decent buy.
But then Scion changed. The xA was killed and the comparatively frumpy xD bowed as its replacement. The xB was totally renewed, but it got bigger, heavier and less attractive in the process. And then after a few years of standing idle (will we ever see xD/xB replacements?), Toyota birthed the Scion FR-S - a properly sporty, enthusiast-minded rear-drive coupe created with the help of Subaru. I really dig the FR-S - if I had to buy something from the Toyota/Lexus/Scion stable, it's easily the car I'd want. But by offering a properly good two-door package with its new coupe, where has that left the older, front-drive tC?

Pics Aplenty: Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ show up en masse at SEMA

Thu, 01 Nov 2012

Scion made a huge investment in the 2012 SEMA show, and its spanking new FR-S coupe, by putting hundreds of cars in the hands of tuners. The result on the floor of the Las Vegas Convention Center is unmissable, as just about everywhere we turn we find another FR-S peeking out at us.
We tried to capture a large quantity of the coupes we saw on display, to represent just how thick on the ground they actually are. In the attached gallery you'll find a healthy percentage of the alleged 150-plus cars that made it to SEMA this year. You'll also find a smattering of Subaru BRZ models, too. Fair is fair.

Toyota recalls power window switches for 6.5 million vehicles [UPDATE]

Wed, Oct 21 2015

UPDATE: There was one incident of someone in the US getting a burn to the hand from this issue Toyota spokesperson Cindy Knight tells Autoblog that. "We have 11 reports where part of the door trim and/or switch was burnt," she said. The company isn't aware of any crashes from the problem, though. Because of a potential short circuit in the driver's side power window switch, Toyota is recalling 6.5 million vehicles worldwide, Reuters reports. Of those, the automaker says around 2 million are in the US. The affected models here are: 2007 and 2009 Camry and Camry Hybrid 2009-2011 Corolla 2008-2011 Highlander and Highlander Hybrid 2009-2011 Matrix 2006-2011 RAV4 2009-2011 Sequoia 2009-2011 Tundra 2006-2010 Yaris 2009-2011 Scion xB 2009-2010 Scion xD According to Toyota, the switch might not have received adequate lubricant grease during manufacturing, and over time this could lead to a short circuit. In a worst-case scenario, the part might even overheat, melt and cause a fire. As a fix, dealers will inspect the component on these vehicles and apply heat-resistant grease to it, and any broken examples will have an internal circuit board replaced. Toyota already issued one recall for this problem in 2012 when it had to repair 7.5 million vehicles globally from the 2007-2009 model years, including 2.5 million in the US. These latest models had the grease applied in a different way. Related Video: Toyota Recalls Certain Vehicles for Power Window Master Switch October 21, 2015 TORRANCE, Calif., Oct. 20, 2015 – Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. today announced that it is conducting a safety recall of approximately 2,000,000 vehicles related to the driver's side Power Window Master Switch. The involved vehicles include certain: 2007 and 2009 Camry and Camry Hybrid 2009-2011 Corolla 2008-2011 Highlander and Highlander Hybrid 2009-2011 Matrix 2006-2011 RAV4 2009-2011 Sequoia 2009-2011 Tundra 2006-2010 Yaris 2009-2011 Scion xB 2009-2010 Scion xD The Power Window Master Switch in the involved vehicles may have been manufactured with insufficient lubricant grease. If not enough grease is applied, under certain conditions the switch may develop a short circuit that can cause the switch assembly to overheat and melt. A melting switch can produce smoke and potentially lead to a fire. Toyota previously recalled certain 2007-2009 model year vehicles for a similar condition.
