LOOKING TO GET INTO LEMONS RACING OR CHUMP CAR? THIS IS A WELL SET UP CAR THAT NEEDS A HOME.! The care handles and brakes better than 90% of the cars in the pack, needed more horsepower so we added a blitz supercharger (details below)
First to answer a few stupid questions.
1.. NO, ITS NOT STREET LEGAL!
2. NO, IT CAN'T BE REGISTERED THERE IS NO TITLE Bought as a salvage car from a auto auction in WA - never got title but don't need it.
3. DON'T KNOW WHAT LEMONS RACING IS? go back to looking at hybrids and Honda Civics.. or google "24 hours of lemons"
Car has Blitz supercharger installed on a JY motor Thats JY as in Junk Yard not JDM ...The guy chomping the cigar at the JY said it had 98k.. good compression, no cylinder scuffing passed our visual inspection.. which should be enough to make the sane run away...
The blitz supercharger was obtained used, we installed it and it runs. The led on the controller doesn't turn on and we have 1 wire we cant figure out where it goes on the piggyback ecu controller. None of us are mechanics by trade so, in a moment of questionable thinking we decided to run two cars.. bad idea. .. we are sticking with one car.. we are keeping the Z because we only know how to work on ignition systems with 2 wires. I took auto shop over 20 years before this car was built and my walker fits in the back of thew Z .. that should explain enough..
Car specs
Car has Evil Genius Racing - roll cage with upgrades (nasa door bars etc)
Willwood big brakes up front, slotted, vented rotors, in car proportioning valve.new drums in back. This was a special edition car (was orange) and the guy who had it before was a tuner head.. so it has strut bars, bigger sway bars front & rear, tokiko shocks & lowering springs, (thats the way it came so they dont cost towars the $500.
1 race on Dunlop star spec 225/45/17 on alum rims. oil cooler, trans cooler, alum rad, header, and more !
OK for those new to Lemons Racing and those who don't know S@#% about lemons racing but like to comment "How is that a $500 car" First off - READ the RULES CAREFULLY... ... ,This was a double salvage vehicle. I bought from a insurance auction. (I work in insurance industry so I had the all important "inside scoop" Car was a TL circa 2008 sold as salvage, guy bought took out of state and rebuilt, car was was involved in ft & rear collision totaled sold without title so it can't be registered again..So you pay 1,209 for salvage car sell interior for 600, other odds and ends get a few hundred more and you are below the cap. When thinks break you get to replace. Bottom line is judge Phil knows if you show up with something that shouldn't be there. This car is a PERFECT LEMONS CAR. The spirit of lemons is to keep the cars close. .I have before and after pictures to show our repairs. car is straight with no structural damage .Items considered safety related don't count. this includes brakes, wheels, tires,, etc..
One prominent Lemons official said this would be a great car for a engine swap.. (they love engine swaps) toyota silver top or black top w 6 speed would be bad ass easy choice, really want to upgrade convert to real wheel drive, Really really want to impress, and give Team Double Suck a run, drop a second engine in..(they run two, two engine cars) There is lots of interior room.
Includes the all important burnt toast and smoke machine...
Racing seat is not included. but may throw in a Kirkey 17 inch on sparco sliders if price is fair..
email contact information for more details. I will call you and answer questions... and try to talk you into the most fun racing most of you will ever know..
Time Trials - you against some cones - forget it..
Class racing - to many rules and not enough cars.
LEMON RACING - NO BS RULES- YOU AND 160+ OR SO LIKE MINDED CRAZIES (who don't get panties in a bunch if you rub a bit of paint) 3 WIDE IN WHEEL TO WHEEL RACING .. Strap on a pair and try it!
CAR IS IN SF BAY AREA (CA) AND NEEDS TO BE PICKED UP - TRAILER OR TOW. DELIVERY WITHIN A REASONABLE DISTANCE A POSSIBILITY TO BE AGREED UPON. IF SHIPPING CHECK WITH SHIPPER CAR IS VERY LOW.
cash talks - I reserve the right to end auction early.

Scion pondering move upmarket?
Mon, 01 Apr 2013Scion is simultaneously celebrating its ten-year anniversary with the 10 Series models and trying to figure out what to do with itself over the next ten years. Once a go-to consideration for young, first-time buyers who wanted something cool and different, in 2013 it has a model everyone is still talking about in the FR-S, a model few are still talking about in the iQ, and three models in between in the tC, xB and xD that make everyone wonder, "What happened?"
Automotive News spoke to Toyota's North American CEO, Jim Lentz - he was the VP in charge of Scion when it launched - about the options, and Lentz said one of them could be a move upmarket to challenge the established luxury brands that are moving downmarket. "There's going to be a big need in the $25,000 range for a fun-to-drive, nice-looking, value-oriented product," he said, and the FR-S, which starts at $25,255, could provide the platform for Scion to climb up a notch or two in price and perception. An idea like this could conceivably work in tandem with a proposal to move entry-level Scion products over to the Toyota brand - but remember, this is all just ideas on a whiteboard at the moment.
As opposed to an "entry-luxury fighter," the brand could swing back to the other option that was considered when it was formed, directly challenging the Korean makes that have usurped its cachet with first-time buyers. Lentz said Scion could go either way, and the tone of the piece seems to indicate that the final direction is still a ways away from being resolved.
Toyota CEO Lentz still envisions Scion as a small premium brand
Sat, Dec 6 2014Ward's Auto has published a piece on Scion that further confirms that we really have no idea what to expect from the brand. In speaking with Toyota USA CEO Jim Lentz about what was once firmly intended to be a hip, experimental youth brand, Lentz said, "I still personally believe small-premium is the direction we should be going." We'll walk right on by Lentz's use of the word "still" and focus on "small-premium" with the question: How? As much as we dig the FR-S, nothing in the brand's lineup can get within a whiff of the word "premium." It's even further away from being able to sniff the lifestyle-powered exhaust of a Mini or Fiat 500, and the production version of the forthcoming IM Concept (inset) will only draw it closer to its plain vanilla parent. Of course, Scion could head the premium way, but the amount of time and money needed to make it work would seem to go against everything the brand currently stands for. The murk stays just as murky when Lentz's words are placed next to those of Scion brand VP Doug Murtha, who spoke to Ward's at a different time. Murtha's response to the "small-premium" note was, "He may be having discussions at levels I'm not," and that such intent is "probably a longer-term proposition than we're looking at right now," with planning under way out to 2025. We're already being prepared for the iM to come in under $20,000, which will ensure the "attainability factor" of the "younger audience" that Murtha still views as Scion's base. And at the moment, Murtha is probably focused on adding desirability to the current lineup, halting the 14-percent year-over-year sales slide to a point that's just over half the annual volume necessary for profitability, and making sure he and his dealers have the support necessary to make the required splash with new product. Aside from all that, what might we expect? We know there'll be another product shown along with the production IM at the 2015 New York Auto Show, and Murtha isn't against a small crossover if they can come up with "something appropriately Scion-esque." So... there's that.
2017 Toyota 86: The car so nice it's been rebadged twice
Wed, Feb 3 2016When the dust settles and the Scion brand is no more, the car we currently know as the Scion FR-S will be rebadged. Again. If you remember the excitement that surrounded the Toyobaru/Subota rear-drive sports coupes' introduction, you'll recall that Scion's Subaru BRZ twin landed in here as the FR-S. That car, along with the new iA and iM, will get a stay of execution next year when the brand bids adieu. We know it will wear a Toyota badge in dealers from then on, and there's a good chance it will get the 86 badge European models wear. Toyota's version of the car goes by several different names depending on the market. It's only a Scion in North America, while it's sold as the Toyota 86 (in Asia, Australia, New Zealand, South America, and South Africa), Toyota GT86 (in Europe and New Zealand again), and Toyota FT86 (in Nicaragua and Jamaica). The 86 part of the name is a nod to the rear-drive AE86 Corollas of the 1980s. That's a history lesson Toyota likely won't have to teach its core demographic. Then again, this car's core demographic probably already bought one. There's also a possibility that this car will get yet another name combination: Toyota FR-S. For the sake of simplicity, let's hope not. View 7 Photos So yes, the rebadged 86 will be re-rebadged back to a Toyota. Functionally this means almost nothing. Buyers who were ordering badge-swap kits from overseas will save some money. Some enthusiast forums might need to change their names. And people visiting from Japan or Europe will feel a little more at home when they see a rear-drive Toyota sports car on the street. Meanwhile, FR-S – a name that may or may not have stood for "front-engine, rear-drive, sport" – will be quickly forgotten. Related Video: Scion Toyota confirmed toyota 86
