2006 Scion Xb Base Wagon 4-door 1.5l on 2040-cars
Carrollton, Texas, United States
This Scion was purchased by my mother in 06, one month later she passed away and the car was probated to me in 07. It has been used as a second vehicle, mostly hwy miles. Basically a I have been the only owner, even though it has been titled twice. Tires are in new condition, one tire brand new in two weeks, do to a nail in outer tread. Spare is perfect in car with jack and tools. New updated wheel covers over stock steel wheels. New washer blades. Oil was change in August. Non smoker vehicle. Interior seats, carpet , inside doors like new. Some small scratches on plastic trim is barely noticeable. Fold down seats in back to allow a large cargo area by entry of back hatch door. Large enough to haul a large club chair. Brakes in front new in last year, rear is good but next on maintenance list for coming months. AC runs cold. Radio and CD player work perfect. Lots of storage nooks in dash board and glove box. Storage compartments on all four doors. This is a great car for saving on gas for commuters, and a perfect first vehicle to buy for your teen or college student. Older people love how easy it is to get in and out of this vehicle and for clear visibility. Business people love to advertise on the 2006 Scion body style with vinyl skins to promote their products and company. This 2006 Scion XB has been love and care for so that the next owner will enjoy it for many more years and miles of use.

Aston CEO claims Cygnet cancelled because Toyota is dropping iQ in 2014
Sun, 27 Oct 2013While slow sales and a $50,000 price tag may have been contributing factors to the Aston Martin Cygnet being cancelled last month, Aston Martin CEO Ulrich Bez is pointing the finger at Toyota for the demise of this luxurious little city car. In a discussion with Autocar, Bez is quoted as saying that the ultimate reason the Cygnet was cut is because Toyota plans on dropping the iQ (on which the Cygnet is based) in 2014 - a claim denied by the Japanese automaker.
Interestingly, the article also cites another publication reporting that a Toyota importer in the Netherlands heard the same news as Bez, and it has already stopped importing the cars. If the European Toyota iQ is cancelled, that would likely spell the end of the slow-selling Scion iQ in the US, which has sold just 3,365 units through September (a drop of 51 percent year over year).
Regardless of why production of the Cygnet ended, Bez also says that a lack of support from Toyota on the project prevented it from being offered in the US or receiving a supercharged engine, which are two factors that likely would have made the car appealing to more buyers.
Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race Scion FR-S [w/video]
Thu, 07 Mar 2013Toyota has been hosting its Pro/Celebrity race at the Toyota Grand Prix on Long Beach since 1977. The charity event, which has raised millions of dollars over the years, traditionally pits Hollywood celebrities against professional athletes (including race car drivers) on the full Grand Prix course in modified street vehicles. The short, sprint-style race is popular with the crowds as the amateur drivers race uninhibited - the result is an action-packed race with plenty of excitement and automotive... er... carnage.
Over the decades, the drivers have raced a variety of Toyota products including last year's front-wheel-drive Scion tC. But this year, Toyota announced at the Chicago Auto Show that the new rear-wheel-drive Scion FR-S would be stepping up to the plate. The good news only became better when Toyota Motorsports invited us out to Southern California's Willow Springs Raceway (the same circuit where the drivers train and practice) to be one of the first behind the wheel.
Driving Notes:
2014 Scion tC with updated styling priced from $19,210*
Wed, 08 May 2013Scion has released pricing information for a number of models, the most important of which being the updated 2014 tC that debuted at the New York Auto Show in March. The cost of entry for the tweaked coupe is now $19,210 with the standard manual transmission, or $20,210 if you'd rather the car did the shift-work for you (*both prices exclude the $755 destination charge). These numbers represent an increase of $485 versus the 2013 model with either transmission.
We have yet to drive the refreshed tC, but Scion says it ought to provide a much more engaging experience from behind the wheel. Automatic-equipped models now enjoy faster shift times with dynamic rev matching, and regardless of transmission, the tC is said to have improved handling dynamics thanks to reworked shock absorbers, stabilizer bar hardware modifications and retuned electric power steering.
In addition to the obvious re-schnozzing of the tC, other updates for the 2014 model year include a new standard auto display, featuring a 6.1-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, HD radio and steering wheel-mounted controls.
