We're selling my wife's 2005 scion xa 1.0 realease series. It is a really neat little car and she hates to sell but with 4 children now it doesn't seem to practical to put back together.
So here's the good. Low miles 40907 and my wife has never been a racer. It is the first release series #972 of only 1550 made. In the 6 years we've owned it I've only seen one other. What the release series means is there is a handful of options that only came with that series; red exterior paint, sunroof, red stitching in seats, red interior lighting, special grill, custom 17" aluminum enki wheels. I believe it's the only xa that had a sunroof.
Now it has been in a little accident, I had a Navigator rear end me surprisingly it did more damage to the truck then car. By the looks to me there is no serious structual damage, but I'm not body man so take a good look at the pictures and if you need more just let me know. I'll try to list them best I can.
Front: bottom corner of bumper slightly dented, passenger fender damaged, passenger tire has slow leak. Rear: both tailights, bumper cover although support looks good, hatch damaged but glass and wiper good, tip of driver quarter panel damaged (possibly body worked). At one time I had all the parts priced on car-part.com all pretty inexpensive and readily available. It will need a battery and front tire is in trunk, has a slow leak so the donuts on it now, could use new tires before long I was starting to price them right before the accident. Well I believe that should cover it. Like said we hate to sell it but with our young army we've got going on it doesn't really work anymore, so if you're looking for a unique little car thats excellent on gas at a diy price this might be the one. We're keeping the reserve pretty low and open to straight offers, no low balling please it'll still books out pretty good with the rebuilt title. Thanks for looking. I can help with shipping if needed, have truck and trailer, for a fair fee.

2016 Scion iA arrives with price tag 'in the $16,000 range'
Wed, Apr 1 2015The adorkable iA, Scion's first sedan, is likely to appeal to a number of customers who value efficiency, affordability and equipment. And because the iA is essentially a rebadged Mazda2 there should be some pep in this little guy's step. If you're wondering why Mazda would build a car for Toyota, volume is a big reason. 1,003 Toyota dealers have a Scion store, more than one-and-a-half times as many franchises as Mazda, and that translates into higher production numbers. Ignoring the rather tragic grille, the rest of the iA is actually a handsome little four-door, which makes sense, considering the amount of Mazda blood coursing through its veins. One need only compare the shots of the Scion, shown above, and the leaked images of the Thai-market 2 sedan to see the similarity. The headlights and taillights are identical in shape and similar in overall design, while both cars share Mazda's expressive Kodo character lines in the profile. While the 2 is cute and brawny, the iA looks a little sullen, with its catfish-mouth grille drooping low in front of the sloping hood. It's a similar story in the cabin, where Mazda's work is plain to see. The dash is crowned by an ample, standard seven-inch display, which is in turn controlled by either touch or the excellent dial-and-buttons input also found in the Mazda3 and Mazda6. Toyota's Entune system is conspicuous by its absence. A trio of knobs control the HVAC system, while a section of faux leather, complete with stitching, separates the tactile controls from the main display. The instrument cluster is home to a single binnacle, housing the speedometer. A pair of secondary displays feature a tachometer and other ancillary information. Considering that the interior and exterior are almost unchanged from the Mazda2, it's no surprise that the 1.5-liter four-cylinder is also common to both cars. In the iA the lump under the hood makes 106 horsepower, while the Euro-market 2 comes in three flavors – 75 horsepower, 95 hp and 115 hp (with the i-ELOOP system). The 1.5 is paired with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic. Following the theme, the iA's chassis is largely identical to the new 2's. The front suspension is of the MacPherson strut variety, while a torsion-beam axle sits out back with rear drum brakes. The steering assist is electric, which contributes at least partially to the 33-mile-per-gallon city rating and 42-mpg highway.
Scion sketches SEMA spread starring Slayer, skateboarder
Sat, 20 Sep 2014I was in Nashville last weekend for a friend's bachelor party. It's all rather fuzzy, but I do recall that my friends and I found it hilarious to request Slayer every time one of the country groups on the Broadway strip asked for a specific song to be played. While there were a few good sports, most didn't find it too funny, largely because country music and Slayer don't mix all that well. Actually, Slayer and a lot of things don't mix too well. Like Slayer and Scion, Toyota's slowly withering youth brand.
This mish-mash hasn't prevented the Japanese budget brand from teaming with the metal group for a concept vehicle based on the tC coupe (shown above). If the Slayer link is a bit too extreme, Scion has a more mainstream xB, styled by skateboarder Riley Hawk on the way. Both new vehicles will be shown at the upcoming SEMA show, but Scion has opted to release a pair of sketches of both aftermarket creations ahead of the Las Vegas expo.
It's hard to tell what kind of exterior changes have been made to the tC, although Scion says the cabin now boasts a 32-inch monitor, as well as a heavily revamped stereo. As you can see, it will say "Slayer" on the door, in the band's stylized script.
Toyota GT86 turbo, convertible, sedan variants back on the table
Fri, 02 May 2014Okay Toyota, make up your mind. Figure it out. Quit playing games with our heart. Either build a bunch of variations of the excellent GT86 (also known as the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ) or don't. At this point, we're just tired of the back and forth. After no shortage of denials, an Australian website is claiming that Toyota is reconsidering convertible, four-door, turbocharged and all-wheel-drive hybrid variants of the GT86. Kindly pass all the salt.
It's not that we don't want to believe the Aussies; we do. But when the story lists the same "sources in Japan" as a lot of the other denials and confirmations about GT86/BRZ/FR-S variants, well, there's a certain sense of the "Boy That Cried Wolf," here. Ignoring all that, then, what does Motoring.com.au claim to know?
Sources claim the GT86 Convertible will arrive in October 2014, while the turbocharged and hybrid sedans are slated for 2016.
