2012 Scion Iq Base Hatchback 2-door 1.3l on 2040-cars
Portland, Oregon, United States
The Scion iQ is a great
little car, the perfect weapon for the urban jungle. Small, extremely maneuverable (the turning
circle is less than 27 feet!) and easy on the budget with EPA ratings of 36mpg
city, 37mpg hwy, the iQ is a great delivery vehicle, company errand car, or
commuter. This 2012 has only 13,500 or so miles on it, and comes with an
automatic transmission, power windows and locks, AC, and a great stereo system
that will blow your hair back. Really,
you should try it. It is so easy to drive, you
can turn any employee or child lose in this car without fear that they will not
be able to park it or easily make their way through congested streets. With traction control, ABS, and a full complement
of airbags, it is a safe vehicle, too. But here is the real reason
to choose this over other small cars: people love this thing. You can’t drive it down the street without
having people point and smile… and laugh.
But think about what that means to your business. If your logo and website are on the sides,
you get positive exposure to thousands of eyes every day. Take that, Google! The white color is the perfect backdrop for virtually any logo, partial wrap, or custom painted mural you want to use for calling attention to your business. The clean background will make your graphics pop! As usual, Auto Mentors will
help coordinate shipping with your carrier, but you are responsible for the
shipping costs. If you want to fly into
beautiful Portland, Oregon, I’ll pick you up at the airport and bring you to
the car. Portland is a great town to
spend a few days in. Explore the
Columbia River Gorge, sample the best microbrews in the world, and take in a Blazers
game. Clean title, clean Carfax. Buyer pays for
all shipping, applicable sales tax, and all licensing fees. I will
coordinate your paperwork and documentation with your financial institution, so
buying will be easy. Auto Mentors, Inc. provides personal auto shopping

Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZ successor canceled?
Tue, Jan 29 2019Rumors indicate that the Toyota 86 is done for. Japanese Nostalgic Car is quoting Japanese sources as saying Toyota and Subaru have parted ways regarding the 86 and that the current car's replacement is off the table. According to JNC, the Japanese magazine Best Car is readying a report that the 86/BRZ successor has been canceled. JNC also considers the fact that in Japan, there will be a four-cylinder, 197-horsepower version of the new Supra, ready to continue where the 86 will leave the market. Back in 2016 the automaker seemingly confirmed that a replacement for the rear-drive car was under development, but plans can change and with a cheaper Supra version for sale in markets outside the U.S., we have to wonder if the 86 replacement has been shelved. The 86, while balanced, has only received mild enhancements and not a lot of extra power during its near-decade long time on the market, and it isn't such a strong seller that it would necessarily merit the effort of Toyota developing a successor on its own, particularly without the help of a partner like Subaru or BMW. At the same time, Autocar quotes Toyota boss Akio Toyoda on the Supra: "At the end of the day, is there anything better than a tight rear-wheel-drive sports car? I hope this won't be the last Toyota sports car you see from us in the future." While that is far from a solid statement of Toyota's future intent, it paves the way to offerings below the Supra, and shows how much the company boss cares about driver involvement. There is a distinct possibility that the company will re-introduce the MR2 as an electrified, rear-drive sports car – which could still be a joint venture with Subaru, as Japanese Nostalgic Car theorizes. Whatever's in the pipeline – and we hope there is something in the pipeline – it seems Toyota's heart is in the right place: driving the rear wheels. Related Video:
Toyota wants improved crash scores with midcycle facelifts
Thu, 29 Aug 2013The performances of some Toyotas in the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's (IIHS) regimen of crash tests leave something to be desired. Consider the small overlap frontal crash test: only six Toyota, Lexus and Scion vehicles have undergone the new test, yet all but one of them received a poor rating. Osama Nagata, CEO of Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America Inc., says midcycle vehicle updates are in the works to address the safety issues brought to light by the IIHS test, Automotive News reports. He confirmed that the RAV4 is getting safety updates following its crash test performance last month, but he didn't name any other models.
All three Toyotas that were tested - 2013 RAV4, 2012-2013 Prius V, 2012-2013 Camry - received poor ratings. The 2007-2012 Lexus ES 350 and 2006-2013 IS 250/350 also received poor ratings. The only other Toyota Motor Corp. vehicle to score better than poor is the 2014 Scion TC. It received an acceptable rating in the small overlap frontal crash test and is the only recent vehicle in Toyota's line-up to get the IIHS Top Safety Pick+ rating.
The small overlap front crash test measures the safety of a car when its front left corner is strikes an object during an accident, bypassing traditional crumple zones, which deform in a way to protect passengers. In 2009, automakers were alerted to the forthcoming addition of the test, which was first implemented last year, IIHS spokesman Russ Rader says. They responded with differing intensity, he says, pointing out that Subaru and Honda started incorporating design changes early on so their cars would perform well in the tests.
Toyota GT86 convertible could debut in March
Tue, 27 Nov 2012The dates are lining up, now we wait to see how the badges align. Just before the Toyota GT 86/Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ line-up was introduced at the Tokyo Motor Show last year, there was a report that Subaru was considering a convertible while Toyota wouldn't even comment on it. That got swapped around when earlier this year the chief engineer on Toyota's side said a convertible was coming, and then a Scion FR-S droptop was confirmed for early 2014.
Autocar now reports that the Toyota GT 86 convertible will make its first appearance at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show in March. In a car whose specs like weight, packaging, horsepower and center of gravity were all tightly controlled to get the most from the least, the changes necessitated by chopping the roof could make this a very different car. It's said to employ a fabric roof to keep a "small" weight gain check, and the suspension will be softened to work more harmoniously with the decreased body stiffness. And somewhere in all that the back seat and trunk space will need to take a hit.
In other news, Autocar says the hi-po GT 86 with some kind of capacitor system instead of batteries is being worked on for 2015.
