2010 Scion Xb Base Wagon 4-door 2.4l on 2040-cars
Calabasas, California, United States
Hi Everyone, Due to my work, I was moved to Germany back in January and will have to stay longer than expected so I would like to sell the car. This would be a great first car for your child as it has low milage, a high safety rating and great reliability. Saftey Rating is 4/5 (According to Motor Trend Magazine) Customer Rating: 9.2/10 (According to Kelley Blue Book) I bought the car brand new and have been the only driver and owner. The title is clean and the car has been in zero accidents. Please Note: I realize that the "Auto Check" function in this listing shows that there is a problem with the odometer reading. This is a mistake, I have the paperwork from the maintenance on that day (and the previous maintenance on 07/23/2014) that shows the correct reading and not was is shown here. The dealership made a mistake entering the data. I am trying to get this fixed now. I would be happy to call the dealer with you present to show the error in data. I got most of the normal maintenance done at Culver City Toyota and can provide the receipt to the services if requested. All four tires were replaced by American Tire Company in July 2012 and came with a 3-year warranty. (Which I will transfer to you) They still have plenty of tread left. I installed an aftermarket radio which includes a DVD player, XM radio, CD-Player, Radio and a 30-Pin iPod connected in the glove box. (You just need to buy the adapter to use it with newer iPhones/iPods) I have also installed a hitch on the back of the car, it can tow small trailers, such as a Jet Ski. There was no smoking allowed in the car so the inside is like new and smells fresh. The car was stored inside during the last few months with a cover and ran every few weeks. The car was washed every other weekend and the paint is still nice and clean with no sun spots. There are a few very small scratches on the right side door which are shown in the photos in the listing. Please Note: Since I have been out of the country the car will need to be registered and new license plates will need to be acquired. I am happy to take the cost of registration and licensing fees out of the final sale! You should be able to get a single day pass from the DMV to move the car to a new location. The car is located in Calabasas, California and is ready to go! Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Buyer will assume responsibility for picking up the car and/or delivery. Happy Shopping! |

Scion FR-S Release Series 1.0 hits dealers with $29,990 MSRP
Wed, 10 Sep 2014If you're familiar with Scion, you likely know all about the Release Series special editions, and back in April, the automaker showed us the first RS example of its FR-S coupe. At that time, we knew the price would come in somewhere "under $30,000," and while that's technically true, the final number is a whopping ten bucks below that $30k mark. Yep, the yellowest Scion can be yours for $29,990, not including $770 for destination.
Only 1,500 of the FR-S RS 1.0 coupes will be made, all fitted with TRD lowering springs, a quad exhaust system, TRD steering wheel, HID headlamps with LED running lights, a TRD shift knob, pushbutton start, black seats and, of course, that aero kit. The $29,990 price applies to cars that use the six-speed manual transmission. If you want the automatic, be prepared to shell out $31,090.
Scroll down for more details about the special Scion. And if the super-yellow coupe isn't really lighting your fire, you can always opt for its Subaru sister, in a lovely shade of blue.
2017 Scion FR-S getting slight power bump?
Tue, May 12 2015A common refrain when discussing the Scion FR-S and its sibling the Subaru BRZ is that they are capable vehicles but are in need of more power. The latest rumors suggest that some more muscle might finally be on the way for the coupe's refresh. Don't expect something like the STI Performance Concept with a 300-horsepower, turbocharged flat-four, though – the gains in the real world are likely to be significantly more modest. According to Toyota insiders speaking with Motoring in Australia, the local Toyota GT86 (our FR-S) is due for a styling and powertrain refresh for the next model year. The 2.0-liter boxer four-cylinder engine isn't expected to get a drastic power increase, but it's not being completely neglected. A new intake manifold and friction reductions reportedly allow for five percent more grunt. If accurate, and if the changes also come here, that would take output of the US version to 210 hp and 159 pound-feet of torque. The adjustments could improve fuel economy by seven percent, as well. Handling is already a forte for the FR-S and BRZ, and things could get even better with this refresh. Motoring claims that dampers from Sachs might become standard equipment, along with a reinforced subframe. The close relationship with the BRZ reportedly rules out any dramatic changes to the styling for this update. However, the coupe is still likely to wear a new hood with vents in it, reshaped headlights, and a revised fascia with a larger lower grille. At the rear, expect a rear diffuser and exhaust pipes at the corners. While minor compared to all of these rumored updates, Scion recently gave the FR-S a few tweaks in the US for the 2016 model year (pictured above). In addition to some new colors and interior trim, it now comes standard with a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system and rearview camera.
Buy a Toyota GT86 and your wife will hate you
Wed, 14 Nov 2012Marketing can be a very strange business. Convincing a man or woman (or child, really) that they absolutely cannot live without the latest, greatest new bit of technology oftentimes takes a unique approach. In the "online film promoting the Toyota GT86" you'll see below, created by agency Happiness Brussels, men are reverse-psychologied into thinking a new sports coupe will make them more masculine by getting their loved ones to hate them. Or something like that. We think.
In any case, we suggest you watch the video below to see how much fun men can have with a GT86 - or Scion FR-S or Subaru BRZ, presumably - at the expense of their significant others. Fair warning: There's a potential Not Safe For Work moment in the ad: beware of a brief male butt shot about 44 seconds in.
Marketing. Gotta love it. Unless you're married to a man. Or something like that. We think. Whatever, just watch.
