2007 Scion Tc 15,774 Miles Very easy fix, includes all parts. CLEAN TITLE!!! I bought this car a few years ago with the hopes of fixing it to drive myself but I don't have time to work on it and I don't have room for it so someone is going to get a great deal here. This car was NOT TOTALED. It was at a body shop getting some light front end damage repaired when someone vandalized it. I guess at that point the owner decided not to have it repaired. Evidently the shop insurance covered the cost of the car and it was never considered a total loss. I have a CLEAN Indiana title in hand, free and clear, no brands whatsoever. I checked the carfax on the car and for some reason it shows that the car had some rear end damage at some point but I have been in the body shop business for a long time and I can assure you that it has never had any rear damage whatsoever. The only collision damage on the car was to the front end. The fenders, hood, headlamps, front bumper, and radiator support were replaced. The frame horn on the right side was smashed up a little but it has been straightened out and the bracket assembly on the front was replaced. There is NO other frame damage. The air bags did NOT deploy. There is no wiring harness damage and no other hidden damage to worry about on this car. It runs, drives, shifts, and stops just fine. However you can't drive it very long because the cooling assembly is out of it at the moment. The service engine light is on because the cooling assembly is out of it and the ABS light is on but I'm not sure why yet. Besides the sheet metal damage, the vandals threw bricks at the car which resulted in a broken windshield, broken back glass, broken quarter glass, and one piece of the panoramic roof broken. There is also a dent in the left door and the left quarter from bricks. They also stole the radiator, a/c condenser, and catalytic converter. The interior of this car is absolutely immaculate. No damage whatsoever. It has all power options, blue interior lighting, nine air bags, and factory Pioneer stereo. This isn't the base model car so it has the better looking tail lights, factory spoiler, 17" wheels, and glass panoramic roof. The factory alloy wheels have a few curb marks. The tires are like new. I have gathered basically everything to put this car back together. I've tried to find all used OEM parts to repair the car because I don't like the fit or quality of aftermarket parts. Any used parts came from cars that had 40,000 miles or less. The parts included are: Front fenders (used OEM) Hood (used OEM) Hood hinges (used OEM) Both headlamps (used OEM) Front bumper cover, rebar, and impact absorber (used OEM) Radiator, a/c condenser, and fan assy. (used OEM) Catalytic converter (used OEM) (already installed) Left quarter glass (used OEM) Panoramic roof assy. (used OEM) Right bumper bracket (new OEM) I'm sure theres more that I'm forgetting. The only parts that I don't have yet are: Windshield (I had one and someone cracked it) Back glass Grille inserts Front fender liners (lost them at some point) This will make a very nice low mileage car for someone. And It will be a very easy fix. Just repair two light dents, paint, and assemble. The book value of this car is still around $12,000.00 so you should be able to buy it and repair it for around half of what it's worth. If you have any questions, feel free to call me anytime at 812-457-2668. I will be more than happy to arrange any type of shipping at the buyer's expense. This car is also for sale locally so I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. If you have feedback less than 10, please contact me before bidding or I will have to cancel your bid. Please DO NOT bid unless you intend to pay for the car. Thanks and good luck! |

Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race Scion FR-S [w/video]
Thu, 07 Mar 2013Toyota has been hosting its Pro/Celebrity race at the Toyota Grand Prix on Long Beach since 1977. The charity event, which has raised millions of dollars over the years, traditionally pits Hollywood celebrities against professional athletes (including race car drivers) on the full Grand Prix course in modified street vehicles. The short, sprint-style race is popular with the crowds as the amateur drivers race uninhibited - the result is an action-packed race with plenty of excitement and automotive... er... carnage.
Over the decades, the drivers have raced a variety of Toyota products including last year's front-wheel-drive Scion tC. But this year, Toyota announced at the Chicago Auto Show that the new rear-wheel-drive Scion FR-S would be stepping up to the plate. The good news only became better when Toyota Motorsports invited us out to Southern California's Willow Springs Raceway (the same circuit where the drivers train and practice) to be one of the first behind the wheel.

Scion celebrates first 10 years with special edition models
Mon, 01 Apr 2013As the story goes, Toyota's Scion brand was imagined up in someone's basement and then came to fruition in 2003 as a youth-oriented brand with a focus on delivering unique vehicles with an equally unique retail experience. A decade later, the brand has grown to five models, which will each be commemorated starting in June with a new Scion 10 Series edition.
In varying quantities, Scion will be offering the FR-S, tC, iQ, xB and xD with an exclusive package that will all come in the Silver Ignition exterior color. Aside from the paint, these cars will also receive Scion badges on the front and rear that are backlit with blue LEDs that illuminate when the car is unlocked. Silver seat belts and a solar-powered illuminated shift knob will help distinguish the interiors of these cars, but the iQ, xB and xD will stand out further from the outside with darker alloy wheels.
In total, just 10,000 Scion 10 Series models are planned, and each will be identifiable with a sequentially numbered badge inside the car. The redesigned 2014 tC will get the most of the special-edition models with 3,500 units, while other new models like the FR-S and iQ will be restricted to just 2,500 units and 900 units, respectively. The original Scion, the xB, will get 2,100 Scion 10 Series models, and the xD will round out the 10,000-unit run with 1,000 models being produced. Scroll down for the official press release.
Toyota GT86 engineer Tada recounts how sports car came to be
Wed, 13 Feb 2013Because the Toyota GT86, Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ coupes are now a reality, it's almost hard to imagine the struggle that had to happen within the large, conservative corporate structures at both automakers for the joint project to even get off of the ground.
Speaking to those struggles on Toyota UK's Toyota Blog, GT86 Chief Engineer Tetsuya Tada enlightens us with a recap of the sports car's earliest origins. For Tada, the first stages of the project must have seemed almost as dreamlike as the final product is to drive.
Said the Chief, "I had been working in the minivan department engineering new product, but a month after the meeting I was summoned. 'Forget about minivans,' they said, 'you are now working on the sports-car project.'"
