2013 Scion Fr-s With Many Tasteful Upgrades And Only 5455 Miles! Examine Closer! on 2040-cars
Allison Park, Pennsylvania, United States
Offering for sale this fabulous 2013 Scion FR-S with tastefully
equipped upgrades and low mileage at only 5455 miles. This car has been
adult owned and is offered to you free of any mechanical errors! I will provide service history records to the new owner. It has such LOW mileage that it hasn't even required the recommended 7500 mile service yet. What work has been had done recently, apart from the dealer installed upgrades, was a replacement of the driver and passenger window switches and outer door weather strips and glass lifters. This was a recommended service by the dealership based on the return window not working properly. The local service writer informed me of the faulty design flaw and the recommended repair. It was fully covered under the factory warranty. The upgrades include a dealer installed Pioneer AVIC-X9310BT radio with navigation, rear view camera, Bluetooth telephone integration with microphone, TRD exhaust, Scion rear bumper applique and clear "chip-free" protective film along the door jambs. Stock exhaust and stock radio will be included and passed on to the new owner. This car includes the Scion FR-S basic warranty (see any Scion dealer website for details) from the date of initial purchase and the additional 2 year / 25,000 miles Scion Service Boost (again, see their website for details.) In this case, this car was purchased on 1/28/13 approximately. In effect you will be purchasing a barely broken in, used car, with a fully transferable warranty. It's a 6 speed manual car featured in Scion's 'Whiteout' color. It really stands out in the crowd! The interior is immaculate and still retains the "new car" scent. The exterior is in near perfect condition with only a minor chip in the paint on the front hood. It can be easily remedied with a $30 touch up pen, but I'm not handy in that area so it will be a new owner project. A picture is attached to show the size in relation to a dime. It's not huge and that's the point, but I like to reveal everything, even the most minute flaw to the potential new car owner.
A lifestyle change for me warrants the sale. PA clear title in hand! This car is ready to go to a new owner at a great price. Compare the options and low mileage on this car to others that are listed, and you'll quickly see that I've priced it to sell! This is an AS-IS transaction with only the remaining factory warranty transferable to the new owner. It is up to you, the buyer, to inspect this vehicle PRIOR to purchase. Once you bid, you are entering into a legally binding contract to purchase this car. Cash / cashier's check purchase only! Payment and vehicle pick-up are required within 3 days of auction end. |

This 1,000-horsepower, rear-drive Toyota Corolla iM could be yours
Tue, Feb 19 2019We were amazed last year when we learned that Papadakis Racing built Fredric Aasbo a rear-drive, 1,000-horsepower 2017 Toyota Corolla iM for drifting. Now we're amazed that the car could end up in the hands of an average person, because the car is currently going for auction on Bring A Trailer. Just as a quick recap for those that might have missed hearing about the car last year, the little Toyota hatch features a turbocharged and nitrous-injected 2.7-liter 2AR-series Toyota four-cylinder. Variants of that engine are found in older Toyota RAV4s and Camrys. According to Bring A Trailer, the engine hits 1,000 horsepower and 850 pound-feet of torque when running on E85. Power goes through a four-speed dog box manual transmission to the rear wheels. Now there is the question of what you would do with such a mad machine. One possibility is to run it again in the Formula Drift series the car was built for. Bring A Trailer reports that it should be legal for the 2019 season, and with extra parts and wheels, you would be in a good spot to get started. The seller does note that all the graphics and sponsor decals would have to be removed if it's entered again. Even if you didn't run it in a professional drift series, it would probably be a fun car to use in more grassroots drift events or even just as a track car of some sort. There's also one more potential option that would be totally absurd. You see, it appears Papdakis Racing started with a factory-built, street legal Corolla iM that could have easily gone on to see a life of ferrying a young couple or family around in efficient, affordable style. As such, it should have a VIN that could be used to register and insure the car without too much trouble. It even still has functional lights. As long as you're in a state that doesn't have modification or emissions restrictions, it could be possible to make this a street car. Now we're not positive on this, so do your due diligence before plunking down cash for it, but it does seem possible, and it would be crazy and awesome. Related Video:
Cheap, honest transportation | 2017 Toyota Yaris iA
Fri, Mar 24 2017In The Love Bug, the main character (aside from Herbie) is a down-on-his-luck racing driver named Jim Douglas. Early on, he steps into an exotic car show room, and when the dealer asks him kind of car he's looking for, Douglas replies, "What do you have in the way of cheap, honest transportation?" The dealer quickly snatches his fancy liquor back from Douglas and soon after Herbie shows up from the back of the showroom. But if this happened today, you could easily replace the classic Beetle with a 2017 Toyota Yaris iA. The poor thing isn't nearly as endearing to look at as a classic Bug, as a result of the rather unattractive nose, and it's now using a second pseudonym (first Scion iA, then Toyota Yaris iA) to hide its Mazda heritage. However, everything else about it nails the description of cheap, honest transportation. And for that reason, it's a lovely little car. Let's start with honesty, and it begins from the minute you start equipping the car – the iA is a "what you see is what you get" proposition. You see, the iA moniker isn't the only holdover from the Scion era. The Toyota Yaris iA retains its "monospec" configuration, which means it comes with only one option: the transmission. Customers can choose from either a 6-speed manual like our test car, or a 6-speed automatic which costs $1,100. Everything else is standard, and "everything" includes some choice features. You get alloy wheels, air conditioning, cruise control, USB and Bluetooth integration, a rear-view camera, tilt and telescoping steering wheel with audio controls, and keyless entry with push-button start. Technically there are a number of dealer-installed accessories too, including your typical fare of mudguards, rear spoiler, cargo organizers, and such. However, none of them are really necessary, with one exception. For some odd reason, the Yaris iA does not come with a center armrest. It's a $195 accessory, and frankly it should be a standard feature because it's so useful. If you hadn't guessed, ours wasn't equipped with it. Everywhere else the iA is a thoroughly pleasant car, if not as sporty as the old Mazda2. The little 1.5-liter four-cylinder under the hood isn't particularly potent with 106 horsepower and 103 lb-ft of torque. But with a Miata-like 2,385-pound curb weight and our car's manual transmission, it manages to feel fairly sprightly, and never has any trouble dicing it up with traffic. That transmission is pretty decent, too.
Scion xB Release Series 10.0 headed for New York debut
Fri, 11 Apr 2014Toyota promises that upgraded products for Scion are on the way, with the possibility of a redesigned xB coming soon. In the meantime, fans of the boxy hatchback have to make due with the new Release Series 10.0 special edition that is debuting at the 2014 New York Auto Show. The latest limited model puts an emphasis on technology with a wireless charging mat, backup camera, projected logos and a few interior changes.
All the Series 10.0 editions come in Electric Quartz, a pearlescent white color with green highlights, and their steel wheels are covered in Tungsten Gray caps. The exterior's jade color scheme flows inside with the accent stitching on the seats and door panels. This xB is equipped with three projectors - one in the rear bumper displays the company's logo on the ground, and two inside put "xB RS 10.0" on the driver's side and the car's build number on the passenger side. (That's kind of cool, honestly.) Smaller upgrades include piano black trim around the console, illuminated door sills and lit cup holders.
The Release 10.0 edition doesn't see any mechanical changes and uses the same 2.4-liter four-cylinder with 158 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque as all other xBs, mated solely to a four-speed automatic transmission. Scion plans to build 1,500 Series 10.0 models with pricing starting at $20,420, plus a $755 destination charge. Sales begin this summer. Scroll down for the full details in the release.
