This car looks and drives amazing. With the Stance GR+ Coilovers and TrakLite wheels, it is a DREAM to drive. It has a perfect 0 degree alignment (see in receipts link below) and feels like a brand new BMW. The Nameless Exhaust sounds great with the Perrin intake and tune. Check out this video to hear it for yourself:

I was the original owner of the car, bought new off dealership floor. I do a lot of traveling down south for work, and traveled between Ohio and Atlanta. I was driving it around town in Ohio, and someone let their dog loose. It ran right into the middle of the road in front of me, and I slammed on the brakes and swerved to avoid hitting it. I impacted a fire hydrant going about 5-10 miles per hour, and the air bags deployed. It was towed to a lot, and my insurance company totaled it out due to being a 2013. The agent offered to sell me the car back for a little under half retail, and since I knew the history of the car. When the tower was trying to get it on the flat bed, he cranked the engine and let it run - but the oil pan had a huge hole in it, and it blew the engine. You can see the accident pictures by clicking here: Accident Pictures

Rebuilt title means this vehicle qualifies for any loan from any bank, and full coverage insurance from your insurance company, insured to the full retail value. It has been fully inspected by Ohio State Highway Patrol and I currently carry full coverage insurance with $10,000 in custom coverage on it as well.

So I decided to make the car everything I had ever wanted. A new replacement engine was installed at 31,845 miles (vehicle only has 33,279 on it now, which means the engine has 1,434 actual miles.) I used all Toyota OEM replacement parts, and had a friend that owned a Carstar Body shop customize everything for me. The car is 100% straight and true, and here is your chance to save $10,000 - $15,000 over equipping one yourself. You can see the receipts equaling over $17,000 here: Receipts and Alignment

The car is a joy to drive, and is always garaged. Every time I drive it, people ask at a gas station if it is a new Ferrari or exotic car. All the FR-S and scion badges have been removed, and replaced with GT86 emblems. The car is 100% flawless, and turns heads everywhere it drives. I had originally planned on putting a GReddy Turbo on it, as I am a dealer, but have a child on the way and this is my 4th car. I can include a new sealed GReddy turbo kit to the next owner for an additional $2900 on top of the winning bid, if you are interested. No trouble lights on the dash are lit - it truly is flawless.

I would trust the car to be driven from Cleveland, Ohio across the United States without a single issue. If you are interested, I do get great transport rates through my company that uses only licensed, insured, bonded carriers. Contact me if you'd like a ship quote - it usually is much cheaper than fuel cost. Any questions, do not hesitate to contact me at 614-522-9626.

Leaked Toyota FT-86 Open concept images preview droptop Scion FR-S [w/video]

Thu, 28 Feb 2013

Here it is, folks - the highly anticipated Toyota FT-86 Open concept, a precursor to what could become a road-going Scion FR-S convertible. A full smattering of images and video have leaked onto the internet, and thanks to the folks at FT86Club.com, we can now see the new hotness that Toyota will be unveiling at the Geneva Motor Show next week.
These images confirm details that were first seen in spy shots captured a couple of weeks ago - namely, the larger wheel/tire package and the inclusion of the Toyobaru coupe's decidedly useless rear seats. These new photos, however, show a two-tone leather interior with goodies such as an iPod/iPhone mount on the dashboard. The concept car is also fitted with the coupe's six-speed automatic transmission (boo!) and FT86Club.com reports that the folding soft top is operated electronically.
We'll have the full details live from Geneva in just a few days. For now, click through our attached image gallery to see lots of pretty pictures of the topless wonder, and scroll down for a video to see the concept in motion.

Top horsepower-per-dollar cars in 2017

Tue, Feb 17 2015

Bang for the buck. That quasi-scientific statistic is bandied about by motor heads everywhere from classrooms to barrooms, though the truth of the matter is that it's exceedingly complex to measure. A fair performance-per-dollar index would include something like cross-referencing MSRP (Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price) with point-to-point times on a track or driving route, which is obviously hard to do comprehensively. But, for the sheer joy of talking about cars and playing with a big spreadsheet, there's always the horsepower-per-dollar index, which is more straightforward, albeit hilariously flawed. There are vagaries even with this simple formula, of course: MSRP for vehicles can change at a moment's notice, to say nothing of the bottom-line shifting that happens with local deals or showroom negotiation. For this list we're running with the straight MSRP wherever possible, and as recently reported as we can get it. All the vehicles on this list are 2017 models, and all trims are reported where the lowest price and differing power levels intersect. Some choices were made for personal preference and some for sanity, avoiding things like all 48 trim levels of the Ford Transit, all with the same horsepower). If this list were a simple top ten, or even a top fifty, you'd be bored to tears with all the red, white and blue that is represented. Following perfectly with conventional wisdom, American cars really do lead the world where hp/$ is concerned. So, for the sake of variety (and the sheer joy of seeing a minivan 'win' one round of this thing) I've sorted out some top five and bottom five lists for broad power categories. Let's dive in. Less Than 100 Horsepower Okay, okay, this is hardly a category we'll grant you. But we've often tried to click off all the sub-100-hp cars on sale in the US, and making this list gave us an excuse. It also illustrates that none of these smallish vehicles bring cheap horsepower to the table - for that you'll need a motorcycle. The segment-leading Chevy Spark (above) asks just over $139 for each hp, and that Smart Fortwo Electric Drive has hp on sale for about the same price as its very distant family cousin, the Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG (insert your favorite Smart joke here... we know you want to).

Scion iA and iM rolled into Yaris and Corolla lineups for 2017

Thu, Mar 17 2016

The Scion brand may be going away, but most of its cars (sorry, tC) are living on. We'll see the 2017 Toyota 86 (nee Scion FR-S) at the New York Auto Show next week, and the automaker already confirmed that the Scion iA and iM will be rebadged as Toyotas. But instead of standing on their own, the former Scions will be rolled into existing model lines. "Yaris iA" and "Corolla iM" will be the official names of the cars, effective for 2017. It's a smart move, paring the relatively new Scion nameplates with well-known, existing Toyota monikers. Scion spokeswoman Nancy Hubbell tells Autoblog that the iA already exists as the Yaris in the Canadian and Mexican markets, so "that connection was already there." Plus, it's better for marketing. The combination of the two vehicles all under the Yaris nameplate means Toyota can focus its advertising dollars on one vehicle line, simply saying that you can now have the Yaris as a four-door sedan or a five-door hatchback. "The same goes with Corolla," Hubbell explains. She says the existing Toyota sedan and the Scion iM "paired really well," and again, it means Toyota can advertise the Corolla as having two body styles moving forward. There are benefits from a sales perspective, too. Never mind that Scion division sales were already included in Toyota's overall numbers – calling the new cars Yaris iA and Corolla iM means the company won't have to report these cars individual sales separately. It's like when Toyota made the Matrix Β– its technical name was Corolla Matrix, so its individual sales didn't have to be broken out. That means an extra boost in overall numbers for the Yaris and Corolla, even if the cars would have been reported under Toyota's numbers had they kept their Scion badges. View 18 Photos Related Video:
