I purchased this auto from my neighbor who was in the military so that my son had a car for college.  My son had other ideas of what he should be driving so we have decided to let this car go after dropping a thousand or so for an extensive tune-up.  We have replaced the front lights that were 800$$ which included the lenses and bulbs... New brackets for mufflers...All the sensors for engine were replaced during the tune up and their are no mechanical issues that we are away of.

The car gets 30 miles to the gallon and drives smoothly with no noises or wind sounds....

The interior is like new with no cracks in dash and the doors and seats have no rips and are clean.  We are a no smoking family and the military man

that we bought it from was also smoke free......Hence their are no strange smells in the car.

Tires have approx. 75% tread left and they are properly balanced so that the car drives straight and true..... no pulling to left or right....

NOW for the bad:

The pictures show the excellent condition of the car however you can see by the pics that the car was in a hail storm and caused multiple imperfections in the paint.

Because the Saturn is made from a composite material and can be hit with a bat and not dent, the car is not dented and or rusty.......  The only thing not correct with this car is the chipped paint that we touched up with matching paint......We have CLEAR title on this vehicle in hand and it is not salvaged.

I have the car for sale locally and reserve the right to end this auction early if the car sells locally.......

There are no warranties either written or implied.......  I can help with shipping although cost is the buyers responsibility.....  If you have any further questions please email me or feel free to call me if you would like to look at and drive the car........  MY number is 609-290-7671 and my name is Bob.

This car has been my daily driver since May and i will continue to use it until sold so the mileage may increase by around a 100 miles.

GM recalling another 1.3-million cars over power steering woes

Mon, 31 Mar 2014

When it rains, it pours. General Motors has announced yet another major recall, covering 1.3 million units in the American market over concerns that the power steering could suddenly fail. As reported by The Detroit News' David Shepardson, GM has now recalled nearly ten times as many cars as it did all of last year.
It's important to note that should this problem arise in these cars, the steering won't fail completely, however, power steering could suddenly stop functioning. Manual steering would still be possible, but as GM says, there's an increased risk of accidents, particularly at lower speeds.
Like the ignition switch recall, this latest problem covers a wide range of vehicles from Chevrolet, Saturn and Pontiac. Normally, we'd give you the full rundown in paragraph form, but the variety of models and model years means a list is just easier. So, have a look, directly from GM's press release:

GM appears to repurpose Saturn Outlook parts on new Acadia

Thu, 09 Feb 2012

General Motors unveiled the company's refreshed GMC Acadia at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show yesterday, and if you were paying attention, you may have noticed something curious about the vehicle. While the new Acadia looks considerably better than its predecessor, a few components of the design looked more than a little familiar. Upon closer observation, it appears that GM has simply repurposed elements of the now defunct Saturn Outlook crossover on the 2013 Acadia. Both vehicles seem to share the same wrap-around rear glass, back hatch, tail light openings and exaggerated, squared-off fender arches.
While the vehicles are differentiated by badging, tail lamps and a rear valance, there's no denying the similarities toward the vehicle's rear. Up front, both share similar fenders, though adjustments have been made for the varying headlight designs.
That's good news if you just can't imagine life without the Saturn Outlook.

GM calling in 56k Saturn Aura sedans over shift cables

Thu, 08 May 2014

General Motors may have made a few mistakes when it came to the whole ignition-switch debacle, and it will likely be dealing with the consequences for some time to come. But you have to hand it to Mary Barra and her team, because they're determined to clean house and avoid the same mistakes. That's why the biggest of the Big Three automakers in Detroit has been issuing recalls left, right and Renaissance Center. Aside from those vehicles fitted with the faulty ignition switches, GM has recalled over 50,000 Cadillac SRXs, another 50 heavy-duty pickups and some 51,000 full-size crossovers. There are bound to be more to come, and now it's issued another 50k-unit recall over faulty shift cables in the transmission.
The recall affects 2007 and 2008 Saturn Auras fitted with the four-speed automatic transmission manufactured between April 24, 2006, and October 31, 2007. The recall doesn't affect models equipped with the six-speed automatic, or for that matter any of the Aura's Epsilon platform-mates like the Chevy Malibu, Pontiac G6, Opel Signum and Vectra, Saab 9-3 or - carrying over from Fiat's aborted partnership with GM - the Fiat Croma, although many of those models used the same 4T40 transmission employed in the Aura.
In the affected vehicles, the shift cable might fracture while in motion, preventing the transmission from shifting into Park or the ignition from switching off, which the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration figures could lead to the car rolling away. Hence the recall of 56,214 units in the United States, owners of which can expect to hear from their dealership in due course to have the necessary components replaced.
