Up for sale is my 2001 Saturn SL2. I bought another car and do not need this anymore. It is gold in color with black interior. It has about 121k miles on it. It has power windows, power door locks, ABS, cruise, cd player, cassette player, and HEATED SEATS!! I added the heated seats and they work great. I also added a trailer hitch to it a few months ago. It is a CURT hitch that is powder coated and tucks under the car nicely. It has the wiring for trailer lights. I used it to tow a small utility trailer. It worked great. I was able to haul lots of cargo and still got excellent fuel economy.

When I bought the car I replaced the radiator hoses, antifreeze, transmission fluid, and transmission filter. I recently changed the front rotors and the antifreeze.

I had the car for about 3 years. I bought it with 65k miles on it. Almost all the miles I put on it are highway miles. I have a 82 mile commute so the miles added up quickly.

The tires are good on it but I also have another set of 4 rims and tires. 2 of the tires on the other set are hancook snow tires. The car is excellent in snow with these on! The other 2 tires probably need replaced. I planned on buying another pair of snow tires so I had a complete set of 4 snow tires but I needed a bigger car so I am selling this one.

The auction includes the car with the other set of tires and wheels. I will remove the stickers on the rear window and will remove CB radio as well.  The car is in great condition for its age. You will never find another Saturn with heated seats and a trailer hitch!

Car thief lands Saturn on Fresno roof

Fri, 06 Jan 2012

Residents of a Fresno, California apartment building recently awoke to debris falling from their ceiling after a car thief managed to execute a perfect parking job on the structure's roof. Police say 26-year-old Benjamin Tucker stole the Saturn sedan from a nearby house before striking either a curb or some rocks, vaulting the vehicle into the air and onto the roof. After seeing his predicament, Tucker leapt from the roof and fled the scene. Or at least he tried to. Tucker broke his leg in the fall and only made it around a quarter of a mile from the crash when police picked him up.
No one else was harmed in the stunt.
Tucker had two outstanding warrants for his arrest at the time for a hit-and-run and evading police. A special crane had to be called in to remove the Saturn from the apartment roof and the structure will indeed require repairs. Hit the jump for a news report on the incident.

VIDEO: Saturn's demise? We blame Jim Gaffigan*

When the deal to sell Saturn to Penske Automotive fell through, there were likely a lot of surprised people at General Motors' Detroit, MI headquarters. Penske released a statement saying that the reason the deal fell through after months of good faith negotiations was that a suitable post-GM supply of vehicles could not be found. However, after reacquainting ourselves with over eight minutes of outtakes from Jim Gaffigan's old Saturn commercial, we're thinking the comedic pitchman is to blame.

GM nixes fleet-only Chevy Captiva Sport

Thu, 06 Nov 2014

Well, guys, it looks like Saturn is finally dead in the United States once and for all. According to Automotive News, Chevrolet has discontinued production of its fleet-only Captiva Sport - a rebadged Saturn Vue - after three years on the market. The very last US-spec Captiva Sport was built in Mexico in August. GM will still produce the vehicle for sale in the Mexican market, as well as for export.
GM initially offered the Captiva Sport for rental fleets as a way to free up capacity for the sightly larger Chevy Equinox and GMC Terrain crossovers, which, according to AN, had been in short supply. The Captiva Sport also did a nice job protecting the resale values of its other similar-sized CUVs because they didn't have to play in the fleet market. But with Chevrolet preparing to launch its subcompact Trax CUV in the US, the automaker will soon have a clear, three-tier crossover lineup without the Captiva Sport. The Trax fills out the bottom end, followed by the Equinox and the seven-passenger Traverse.
For now, renters seeking a taste of 'Classic GM' will have to whet their appetites with the fullsize Impala Limited.
