This vehicle has been well maintained by ASE master technician and has a recent Pennsylvania safety and emissions inspection (April 2014 expiration). Despite the miles, the 1.9L DOHC engine starts and runs almost like new. Transmission shifts great and clutch works well. Surprisingly very quick little car that still gets 30+ miles per gallon. Mileage is about 85% high way miles. This car has given me literally no problems other than needing a new starter recently. This vehicle is being sold only because I am looking for a 1997+ Jeep Wrangler.

There are only two cosmetic issues that need to be pointed out. I accidentally pulled the car up too far at home and dinged the front edge of the hood. This can be repaired if desired and can look as good as the rest of the vehicle. The other minor issue is some rust has formed on the interior of the rear passenger door. It is surface rust/scale that can easily be removed and painted. This is NOT a structural integrity problem- only cosmetic. A close up of both issues are captured in photos. This vehicle has the usual minor chips and scrapes that can be expected from a vehicle of this age.

Interior is in very good condition. The driver's side floor mat and rim of the steering wheel have some wear from lots of highway commuting. Rear seats fold down for additional hauling capacity (enough space to haul several 8' 2X4's).

Non-refundable $500 down payment required from winning bidder within 1 day of bid closure. Please email me with questions or to set up a test drive, if desired, prior to bidding. Ask all questions before bidding.

This vehicle will be listed locally and seller reserves the right to end this listing early if reserve is not met.

Clever video selling Saturn Ion "sex machine" will catch your eye

Thu, 28 Feb 2013

"When I think of the most impressive, industry changing, earth shattering vehicles of recent history, the first car that comes to my mind is the 2004 Saturn Ion Coupe." So says Brad Holt of Dallas, Texas. And he's right, clearly. One look at the specific specimen Holt is selling will be enough to convince you that the car "will absolutely tickle every one of your fancies," as claimed by the seller himself.
We suggest you watch the video below to see just how perfectly Holt's sex machine will fit into your life. The end result will no doubt be exactly as Holt ends his video: "You need it. Like a lot." You can also read more info from Brad in an interview here. If only our offices were a little closer to Dallas...

GM issues four new recalls, 2.4 million cars affected

Tue, 20 May 2014

General Motors has announced another set of recalls, covering some 2.42 million cars in the United States. For those keeping track, The General has now recalled over 15 million cars worldwide this year due to various issues.
Here's the breakdown for this most recent set of recalls:
1,339,355 - Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia models from the 2009 to 2014 model years; Saturn Outlook models from the 2009 to 2010 model years

GM recalling over 243,000 crossovers over possible seat belt defect

The summer of 2010's recall hit parade continues unabated today, with General Motors having just announced that it is asking 243,403 owners of its 2009-2010 Lambda crossovers to bring their three-row haulers in for inspection. The culprit? Second-row seat belts in select Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Saturn Outlook CUVs have "failed to perform properly in a crash."
According to GM, a second-row seat-side trim piece is to blame, as it can impede the upward rotation of the buckle after the seat is folded flat. As a result, if the buckle makes contact with the seat frame, cosmetic damage can occur, potentially requiring additional force to operate the buckle properly. So far, no great shakes, but in the process of applying that additional force, the occupant may push the buckle cover down to the strap, potentially revealing and depressing the red release button. As a result of this, the belt may not latch, or in certain cases, it may actually appear to be latched when, in fact, it isn't.
