Great little SUV.  I bought it 2 years ago to drive back and forth to Phoenix every other week (900 mile round trip)....didn't want to put the miles on my car.  I am no longer making that commute and the VUE is just sitting in my garage.  I need it gone to make room for my new Jeep.

As far as I know I am the second owner, the guy I bought it from said the only thing he had ever done to it was put in a new clutch at apx 70k miles.  I have maintained it well with regular oil changes.  I have replaced the battery, wipers, breaks, the catalytic converter, spark plugs and gone through 2 sets of tires.  It is a very reliable low maintenance car.  I thought about keeping it and putting another 100k miles on it, I just don't have the space.  It has a couple very minor scratches, 2 small chips in the windshield, small tear in the upholstery on the underside of the sunroof.....all very minor things you would expect with an 8 year old used car. I tried to catch them in the last 4 pictures I posted, but they are so insignificant they hardly show in the pictures.

A/C blows cold, Heater blows hot.  Cruise control works good, heated seats heat up....Everything is is fine working condition.

The back tires are nearly new--still have 95% of their tread, the front tires are nearly shot....I thought about replacing them, decided to just lower the price instead whereas the road hazard warranty is not transferable.  2 new tires will run you $240 out the door.   I am getting the oil changed tomorrow and will deliver the car with a full tank of gas.  Come get it, and drive it home!

Kelly blue book puts this vehicle at $5645 in excellent condition and at $4320 in poor condition.  MY RESERVE IS $1500 LESS THAN LOW BOOK!  The "Buy it Now" price is $500 below low book value.  Somebody is going to get a great deal on this car.

I have clean notarized title in hand.  The car is located in Saint George UT, I welcome you to come check it out, if you are not local I welcome 3rd party inspections, there are no surprises with this car....it is what it is.  If you are willing to cover my gas and work with my schedule I could possibly deliver to Salt Lake City, Denver, or Las Vegas...if you fly into Vegas I can meet you at the airport and you can take it from there.  Otherwise buyer is responsible for pick up or shipping.

The car is for sale locally, I may end the auction if it sells.  If you are a serious bidder...click "buy it now"  it is a great deal at that price.

E.mail me with any questions or offers.  Good Luck Bidding!

Woman Cleared In Fatal Car Wreck After GM Letter

Tue, Nov 25 2014

A Texas judge cleared a woman Monday for a car accident that killed her fiance in 2004, after General Motors acknowledged that her car would have been among millions being recalled for a problem that may have contributed to the death. Candice Anderson was driving a 2004 Saturn Ion when it suddenly veered off a road about 60 miles east of Dallas and slammed into a tree. Anderson, then 21, was severely injured when the car's air bags failed to deploy. Her 25-year-old fiance, Gene Erikson, who was a passenger, was killed. She later pleaded guilty to charges stemming from the wreck. But during a hearing Monday, State District Judge Teresa Drum expunged the conviction from her record, according to officials in the Van Zandt County court andAnderson's attorney, Bob Hilliard. In a letter given to the court ahead of the hearing, an attorney for the automaker confirmed that Anderson's Saturn would have been among 2.6 million GM vehicles recalled in February to address ignition switches that can slip out of the "run" position, causing the engines to stall and disabling power steering, brakes and air bags. Anderson's crash "is one in which the recall condition may have caused or contributed to the frontal air bag non-deployment in the accident," attorney Richard C. Godfrey wrote. Hilliard provided a copy of the letter to The Associated Press, and Godfrey confirmed its contents Monday. Anderson was initially charged with criminally negligent homicide because there was no clear explanation at the time why the wreck occurred, according to court documents from the case. She pleaded guilty to a letter charge in 2006, and was sentenced to five years' probation. She also was ordered to perform 260 hours of community service, pay court costs and cover the costs of Erikson's funeral. "GM knew this defect caused this death, yet instead of telling the truth watched silently as Candice was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter," Hilliard said Monday. "It took 10 years for GM to find its voice." In a separate statement issued by the company, GM said it "cooperated fully by providing technical information that was requested to make a decision in this matter." The carmaker also said the issue in Anderson's case was for local law enforcement and courts to consider. "That's why we took a neutral position on Ms. Anderson's case," the company's statement said. "It was appropriate for the court to determine the legal status of Ms.

GM expands ignition switch recall to over 1.3 million cars amid climbing death toll

Tue, 25 Feb 2014

588,000 Saturn Sky, Saturn Ion, Pontiac Solstice and Chevy HHR models join the 778,000 cars already being recalled.
General Motors has announced a massive expansion of a 778,000-unit recall we told you about two weeks ago, doubling not only the total number of cars affected but expanding the recall beyond Chevrolet Cobalt and Pontiac G5 models previously mentioned. The recall originally centered around ignition switches that could slip out of the "run" position if jostled or if any weight was applied to the key in the cylinder.

Car-crazy 5-year-old boy writes automakers for treasures, gets big response

Fri, Jan 25 2019

Part of the beauty of children is that they can find worth in something adults might deem unworthy or overlook entirely. Five-year-old Patch Hurty didn't see garbage or a broken piece of a car when he spotted a Ford badge lying on the side of a road. He saw an artifact, a souvenir, a start to a collection he could only dream of. Ezra Dyer of Popular Mechanics tells the story of Patch and his quest to turn that one lost badge into a museum of manufacturer logos. According to the article, Hurty is a car fanatic through and through, even using car names as a way of learning to read. After finding the Ford badge near his Connecticut home, he and his mom put together a plan to reach out to dozens of automakers, confessing his love of things on four wheels. In each letter, Patch assembled a picture of himself standing next to one of the cars, and a penny to pay for whatever he hoped was sent his way. The response was unexpectedly and overwhelmingly positive. Of the more than 50 letters he sent out, including to obscure or defunct companies such as Bugatti, Suzuki, and Saturn, a majority responded with warm notes and some type of souvenir. Two of the coolest responses came from Lincoln and Bentley. Lincoln sent a sketch of a Continental (all car lovers enjoy drawing cars, right?), and Bentley sent a wheel center cap. How awesome is that? The story reminds us of something that can easily be lost in all of the negativity involved with the auto industry: Everybody is in this because of a common infatuation with automobiles. For more details on the souvenirs Patch received and accompanying photos, read the rest of the story. Related Video: News Source: Popular Mechanics Read This Bentley Bugatti Ford Lincoln Saturn Suzuki
