Up for auction is a 2007 Saturn Sky Red Line Roadster. I hate hate hate to sell this car, but in true reality it is not practical with 2 kids and one on the way. This car is in Good overall condition. I bought this car from family as a weekend toy. It became more than that I ended up driving this almost daily in good weather. It has been garage kept its whole life. It is fairly rare most Sky's I see are not Red Lines.
There is nothing mechanically wrong with the car. The turbo spools nicely. The engine makes no weird knocking noises and leaks no fluid. The transmission goes into each gear smoothly. Clutch does not slip and the car pulls hard and responsively when given throttle.
AC is ice cold and works great
Brakes stop the car without any noise or issue. Does not pull to any side. Car runs straight down the rode
Tires are almost new with 90% tread 18" Premium wheels are shiny and in good shape
Radio and CD player work great. Has premium sound and a stock sub woofer behind passenger seat.
Interior
Leather seats are in great shape, dash is in great shape and all buttons/power options work
No stains in carpet
Exterior
Has a few tiny rock chips in hood.
As shown in pictures there are a few scratches that have been touched up.
The bottom of front valence has scratches and has not been attempted repair. IT is hard to tell since it is low and under valence.
The top has been cared for by using Meguiars convertible top
The antenna is broken off >> But car comes with a little over 5 months of Sirius Satellite radio (already paid for)
Badges have been removed on the rear bumper. I did not like them and will include them in the purchase if buyer chooses to put back on.
BLUE BOOK VALUE FOR PRIVATE PARTY IF OVER 13,000!!! My reserve is substantially less!!! This is a truly awesome car. Do not let 100K scare you. These cars are built to last and the engines are built to be tough. The car averages in the high 20 mpg with city/highway mix but achieves 32mpg on highway @ 65-70 mph. Synthetic has been used its whole life and I know the history very well. It has been cared for and non abused.
I will accept cash, cashiers check, loan check (will verify) and Paypal (you pay 2% fee), I still owe on the car Ally Financial is the lender. I will sign a Promissary note on top of the Ebay Buy Protection you are eligible for so there is NO WORRIES. As soon as I pay off Ally Financial they will send title. Feel free to have your lender call Ally Financial. I will try to make this as smooth transaction as possible. I will meet buyer within 40 miles of Centralia, IL at no extra cost.

GM recalling over 243,000 crossovers over possible seat belt defect
Tue, 17 Aug 20102010 Buick Enclave - Click above for high-res image gallery
The summer of 2010's recall hit parade continues unabated today, with General Motors having just announced that it is asking 243,403 owners of its 2009-2010 Lambda crossovers to bring their three-row haulers in for inspection. The culprit? Second-row seat belts in select Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Saturn Outlook CUVs have "failed to perform properly in a crash."
According to GM, a second-row seat-side trim piece is to blame, as it can impede the upward rotation of the buckle after the seat is folded flat. As a result, if the buckle makes contact with the seat frame, cosmetic damage can occur, potentially requiring additional force to operate the buckle properly. So far, no great shakes, but in the process of applying that additional force, the occupant may push the buckle cover down to the strap, potentially revealing and depressing the red release button. As a result of this, the belt may not latch, or in certain cases, it may actually appear to be latched when, in fact, it isn't.
GM investing $167m in Spring Hill for new midsize vehicles
Tue, 06 Aug 2013General Motors has announced a large investment in its Spring Hill, Tennessee facility. The former home of Saturn production will be getting a $167 million addition to a previously announced $183 million, to cover a pair of new midsize vehicles. The investment is expected to create 1,800 jobs at the factory.
That $350 million is being divvied up for a pair of programs at Spring Hill. The first will take the bulk of the money ($223 million) and create 1,000 of the 1,800 jobs, while the other will take the remaining $127 million and generate the leftover 800 positions. But GM says the investment will cover "midsize vehicle programs." So what could they be?
The leading candidate in our minds is a new crossover for Buick, called the Anthem, that will slot between the Encore and Enclave, but will be slightly smaller than the Equinox and Terrain. As we've explained, the new model will likely be the first product to sport GM's new D2UX platform, which will eventually replace both the Delta and Theta platforms. Spring Hill is already building the Equinox, so there could be some credence to this theory.
Recalled Saturn Ion facing separate federal safety probe
Fri, 21 Mar 2014General Motors may be staring down another recall campaign for one of its models already embroiled in its high-profile ignition recall. The 2003-2007 Saturn Ion is already among the 1.6-million vehicles being recalled for faulty ignition switches, and now new light is being shed on a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation over 2004-2007 models centering on a loss of power steering.
The government safety regulator has received 846 complaints about the problem and claims that GM has had 3,489 reports of failure. Of those cases, there have been 16 accidents and 2 injuries reported, according to Automotive News. While NHTSA has been conducting an investigation since September 2011, no recall has been issued yet.
The inquiry's length was brought to light by an organization called the National Legal and Policy Center that alleges GM and NHTSA have known about the problem but are delaying a recall. It has sent a letter to CEO Mary Barra asking "to recall Saturn Ions for the model years 2004 through 2007 without further delay." The letter in question is available in full on the group's website.
