2001 Saturn Sc2 5 Speed Turbo 3 Door Coupe Allot Of Upgrades on 2040-cars
Ridgefield, New Jersey, United States
2001 Saturn sc2 3 door 5 speed turbo with 126.500 miles on the body and 25k on the forged motor. Very fast and reliable car with allot of upgrades. Leather interior with power windows and locks. This saturn has a garrett t3 .60 compressor .48 turbine liquid cooled center housing turbocharger with internal wastegate. The car runs on 22 psi of boost with room for more. Liquid intercooler with water injection and a hallman manual boost controller. The engine is a 01 saturn with ported exhaust, wiseco 8.5:1 pistons, scat H beam rods, FSR turbo cams and 3" catless exhaust and a oil cooler. Upgraded to a BeCool all aluminum radiator. The clutch is a act 6 puck sprung hub with a fidanza lightweight flywheel and the transmission has the diff pin welded. Fuel for the car is provided by O34 motorsports 2.5 bar supplementary fuel injector controller with one extra injector per cylinder with a 255 warlboro fuel pump. The car also has the rear disc brake conversion, eibach springs with kyb struts. On the pillar is the aem uego digital wideband afr gauge, pro sport vac/boost with oil pressure gauge and a glo shift oil temp gauge. I also have a apexi safc2 hooked up for monitoring the engine. Current NJ inspection until january 2015.
The car will get 30mpg on the highway if you baby it by staying off the boost. The car was my daily driver for 2 years with this set up. I never had the car on the dyno and I never had time to take it to the track so the numbers are unknown. The real problem is traction, I have 205's on the car and thats not enough without going to some crazy tires. The bad: sunroof does not work, minor stone chips on hood and misc scratches here and there. Reason for selling is i had to get a 4 door and bought a evo. If interested just email me to see it and thanks for looking. |

NHTSA could add 1M cars to GM recall
Wed, 13 Mar 2013
The Detroit Free Press is reporting that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration may expand a recall campaign for faulty brake lamps. The agency is currently looking into complaints that certain 2004-2011 Chevrolet Malibu models as well as some 2007-2009 Saturn Aura sedans may have brake lights that do not illuminate when the driver presses the pedal. Alternatively, the lamps may also illuminate without input from the driver. General Motors recalled 8,000 Pontiac G6 models from the 2005 model year for the same problem, and NHTSA is currently investigating whether to add 550,000 more G6 models built between 2005 and 2009 to the list for the same issue.
In addition, investigators are currently examining 97 complaints from Malibu and Aura owners with the same trouble. If NHTSA adds those models to the recall campaign, more than one million units could be covered. GM, meanwhile, says there have been no accidents or injuries as a result of the problem.
Best and Worst GM Cars
Thu, Apr 7 2022Oh yes, because we just love receiving angry letters from devoted Pontiac Grand Am enthusiasts, we have decided to go there. Based on a heated group Slack conversation, the topic came up about the best and worst GM cars. First of all time, and then those currently on sale, and then just mostly a rambling discussion of Oldsmobiles our parents and grandparents owned (or engineered). Eventually, three of us made the video above. Like it? Maybe we can make more. Many awesome GM cars are definitely going unmentioned here, so please let us know your bests and worsts in the comments below. Mostly, it's important to note that this post largely exists as a vehicle for delivering the above video that dives far deeper into GM's greatest hits and biggest flops, specifically those from the 1980s and 1990s. What you'll find below is a collection of our editors identifying a best current and best-of-all-time choice, plus a worst current and worst-of-all-time choice. Comprehensive it is not, but again, comments. -Senior Editor James Riswick Best Current GM Vehicle Chevrolet Corvette We were flying by the seats of our pants a bit in this first outing and my notes were similarly extemporaneous. When it came time to tie it all together on camera, I failed spectacularly. Thank the maker for text, because this gives me the opportunity to perhaps slightly better explain my convoluted reasoning. I chose the C8 Corvette because it's simply overwhelmingly good, and it's merely the baseline from which this generation of Corvette will be expanded. While the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing (more on that in a minute) is an amazing snapshot of GM's current performance standing and its little sibling so enraptured me that I went out and bought one, their existence is fleeting. Corvette will live on; forced-induction Cadillac sport sedans, not so much. So while all three are amazing machines when viewed in a vacuum, the Corvette stands above them as both a reflection of GM's current performance credentials and a signpost of what is to come. So, given the choice between the C8 and the 5V-Blackwing right now, I'd choose the C8. In 10 years, when the Blackwing is no longer in production and Corvette is in its 9th generation? Well, that might be a different story. Now, just pretend I said something even remotely that coherent when we get to the part of the video where I try to make an argument for the 5-V Blackwing as best GM car I've ever driven. Or just laugh at me while I ramble incoherently.
Report: Saturn owners offered $2,000 to stick with GM products
Mon, 15 Feb 2010After its decision to euthanize Oldsmobile, General Motors knows exactly what happens when it mothballs one of its brands: GM loses market share to the competition. The General is trying to stop history from repeating itself with Saturn customers by offering $2,000 on the hood of every car and crossover donning the ringed planet badge. Automotive News says the offer actually started on February 2 and runs until the end of March. To be eligible for the $2,000 bounty Saturn owners must have leased or purchased their Saturn at least six months ago. Interestingly, those owners don't even have to turn in their Saturn to be eligible for the cash.
AN reports that research company R.L. Polk says even before Saturn went on the endangered species list, it lagged other GM nameplates in the all-important aspect of customer retention. The mass exodus from Saturn loyalty predictably intensified at the end of 2008 as customers became anxious over the future of the brand. For its part, GM insists that all Saturn warranties will be upheld and customers looking for service can still go to a GMC, Chevy, Buick or Cadillac dealership.
