I have a 1992 Saab 9000 Griffin Edition. It is a very rare car and Saabs first car with over 40,000 dollars on the sticker price. It is in very good shape with no rust. Only very minor scratches in pain and with a good polish it could really shine. The rear panel between the lights has lost it's reflective material and doesn't look good, other than that the exterior in very nice. The interior seats are a little rough and one small spot on the carpet that isn't very visible. Also the cloth that is under the sunroof cover but not part of the headliner has came off but other than that the interior is in good shape. I think that this will be a very nice car especially for an enthusiast. The car averages 27MPG with the air conditioning on while cruising on the interstate. Also the 6 disc CD magazine in the back is missing but the CD player still works. This Saab has every feature available and the seats are extremely adjustable with 3 memory setting for the passenger and driver front seats. Heated Seats, Rear A/C All kinds of electronic gadgets and digital read out panels.
there is a video of the car for sale on youtube.

NEVS to build new Saab models in China's Qingdao
Thu, 10 Jan 2013National Electric Vehicle Sweden has officially signed a deal with Qingdao Qingbo Investment Company that will see the NEVS build EVs in Qingdao, China. The move is the first step on the road toward eventually selling vehicles in China. Reuters reports that the Chinese company has agreed to invest $307.33 million, after which point Qingdao Qingbo will receive 22 percent of the NEVS shares. Currently, there's no word on exactly when the funds and shares will change hands, but the Swedish automaker has previously said it fully intends to launch its first EV by early 2014.
NEVS has also made waves about potentially building a version of the old Saab 9-3 with a traditional internal combustion driveline. Currently, the manufacturer says it plans to ship the vehicles it builds in Sweden to the Qingdao port and distribute them to the rest of China from there. Later down the line, a manufacturing facility in Qingdao will supply the country with Chinese-built Saab models.
NEVS mulling electric Saab 9-3 convertible, looking for engine partners, too
Wed, 14 Nov 2012Do you believe in reincarnation? Like how we hope that, maybe, all of our hard work as auto writers will result in an eventual return as a swarm of beautiful butterflies. If you are a Saab fan, the equivalent could be this bit of news: The 9-3 Convertible may rise again, as an electric vehicle.
Word comes from the Dutch version of Autoweek that Chinese entity National Electric Vehicle Sweden (NEVS) has indicated that it will bring an electric version of the 9-3 Convertible to market in the next 18 months. The EV droptop would first debut in the Chinese market, but could expand, as could the lineup to other 9-3 variants, such as the sedan and SportCombi. A NEVS spokesperson has stated, "NEVS basically no doors holds." We're not sure if that's the spokesperson or the translation from the Dutch report, but you get the gist.
NEVS also indicated that conventionally powered versions of the 9-3 could be produced as well. The internal combustion engines could be the originally intended General Motors engines. Regardless of powerplant, we would be very eager to see Saab return, potentially as an EV to boot!
Son Surprises Mom With Dream Car
Thu, Aug 14 2014We can't get enough of these dream car-reveals. Here's the latest one: A son wanted to treat his mom to the car she's had her eye on for years, but it wasn't a restored Porsche or a fancy 1957 Chevy Bel Air. This mom wanted something special – a 1973 Saab 99 EMS painted disco-fever copper. Ever since he was a kid, Corey Wadden's mom has wanted the Saab. Wadden writes on his YouTube video that she first hopped in the driver's seat of one of these odd retro rides while working as a cleaning lady. One of her clients would toss her the keys and let her move the car. She fell in love. After a year of searching and saving, this nominee for best son in the world brought his mom down to the parking lot, where her dream ride awaited. First, he handed her an envelope with a picture of the car and the keys, a dead giveaway. She quickly put two and two together, and lost it before making it to the parking lot. She is so happy and full of gratitude that she actually drops to her knees when he opens the door. Wadden writes on his page that his mom lost her job two-and-a-half years ago and hasn't had a reliable car in years. This car aims not just to get her mobile again, but lift her spirits. It's also part of the Toronto entrepreneur's promise to become a millionaire by the time he is 25 to help his mother retire.
