2003 Saab 9-5 Linear Sedan 4-door 2.3l Clean, No Reserve, Good Miles! on 2040-cars
Bel Air, Maryland, United States
We understand that buying a vehicle online can sometimes leave you
un-easy. We are aware that there are other dealers online that do not fully
describe the vehicles listed. They might leave important information out, or
not have a thorough description of that item.
Our goal is simple. We aim to be honest and fair with all of our deals. Word of mouth and return business has gotten us this far. We achieve this by providing you with all of the information YOU need to make a comfortable decision, and hopefully proceeding to your investment, a vehicle! We strive for A+ satisfaction. We do not want to waste anyone’s time, and definitely don’t want to mislead you. This is why we inform you of EVERYTHING we know, and provide you with detailed descriptions and conditions of the item for sale. Business is expanding, explaining the new eBay account. The
Saab 9-5 linear is a very well-engineered Swedish machine. Saab started out
first with the intent to build airplanes. Demand was low shortly after so with
the same engineering they soon started building cars. Kind of like B.M.W., these
vehicles are not built like your average American or foreign car.
This
is not your older Saab; they claim that there were 1,100 changes to
substantially improve this generation. These are very thoroughly built with
comfort, convenience and SAFETY in mind for you, the consumer. Did you know
that the Saab 9-3 and 9-5 were the first cars in the world to earn the max
score in a side impact crash test? The standard side impact airbags have a lot
to do with this. Saab decided to carry this to every car no matter what budget.
The
experts from the consumer guide rated this car a 58, same as the Volkswagen
Passat. Impressive! The BMW 3-series was rated lower at 56. Volvo’s S40 rated
47. Mercedes-Benz C-class rated a 46 and the Audi A4 received a 45. These are based
upon 10 different categories from ‘99-‘02. Saab’s 9-3 beat all of these high
end vehicles and most likely you never knew or considered Saab. People are
starting to catch on and now. VW is in high demand, just like Honda was and
still is. Be ahead of the game and buy a Saab now before the prices become
unfair.
Yes, Saab filed bankruptcy and they are no longer in business as of right now. I have heard people are scared as their concern is about parts and labor. There will always be parts available in the replacement and modification market. They are not harder to find than any other car nor more expensive. They might be a little harder to find than Honda, because they are not mass produced, low quality parts. As for the labor side, any mechanic can work on these vehicles. I have not heard of different rates because it is a Saab. This is not a Porsche, where a tune up is going to cost you $500. An oil change is going to cost the same as your average car and you don’t need to be an engineer to do it yourself. I thought it would be nice to share some information I have learned over time. Finally… INTERIOR:
Saab’s generally attract buyers that are very meticulous and neat. This 9-5
looks barely worn. The black leather seats look great, no rips, tears and
barely even creased. Carpets look good. There are no offensive odors in the car.
The spare tire, jack and tools are all still there. The quality and workmanship
shows in this vehicle. I noticed the ‘night mode button’ and I had to push it.
This shuts off or dims the lights that are not important for the driver. This
creates less distraction for the driver when driving in the night. I think this
feature would be great for the women. I noticed the dash cup holder does work
properly, and there is one in the center console. I think there is a component
part not functioning properly. I have not noticed any significant signs of
wear. The A/C was cold and easy to use. The sunroof works great and all the
windows. Everything works!
EXTERIOR:
The body looks straight and sharp! With its own unique look similar to none it
is very sleek looking. There are no obvious scratches of dents. There is a
small ding on the driver side of the rear door. The tires all look great as you
can see in the pictures. The fog light covers are gone, but it is actually
barely noticeable.
MOTOR/HANDLING:
The Saab 9-5 was very impressive to drive. Saab did not lack in any category as
far as, acceleration, suspension, comfort, ease of use. This car definitely
feels safe to be in. I can feel the turbo spoil up and the boost gauge works
properly indicating everything is running smooth. It is very risky to buy a car
online without knowing the condition of the turbo. The gears went in smooth and
the clutch is very sensitive, feels new. The suspension felt great and steering
was excellent. This is a fun daily driver, safe, reliable, and sporty. I admire
the EcoPower engine. It was designed to put out high power and torque when it
is needed, BUT still delivers good fuel economy and low emissions. I looked up
the avg. mpg for this car and found people are averaging 28.5 miles per gallon
in the gas engines. I think anywhere around that would be great. When I was
driving I noticed the check endine light is on, ABS light, Brake light, and the
speedometer was not working. The code ready P1625 and I did some research. This
is a SIMPLE FIX. If you clean the ABS TCS module,
all of these problems are linked and they will all be fixed. At worst case just
buy a new one for under $100. Saablink.net will provide you with the same info,
just do some light research. This car feels very reliable and I would have no
doubt in driving it across the country. It was taken on a 3 hour drive with no
problems!
To
sum up this car, this car is probably what most of you are looking for,
something safe for your first time driver, cheap, and easy to insure also. Are
you looking for a gas efficient car that’s not from the 90’s? Or maybe you are
looking for a daily driver, something to put miles on, either way this car has
got you covered and it should deliver more than what you need. This car will
get you where you need to be safe and cost effective, and it will last you as
long as you need it. It is just broken in. It is simple, if you need a car like
this for cheap, just buy it!

Motorweek looks back at 1983 Saab 900S
Tue, Aug 4 2015These days, Saab is a zombie marque. Technically, the brand is still shambling around under the ownership of National Electric Vehicle Sweden, and there are continued promises of an electric version of the 9-3. However, we all suspect that the company is never really coming back, at least not as the quirky Swedish brand of the past. That's what makes watching this latest Retro Review of John Davis and the Motorweek crew driving a non-turbo 1983 Saab 900S so special. This is a great chance to see Saab still alive and kicking. While not one of the more famous turbocharged examples, the naturally aspirated 900S is still a quintessential Saab in every other way. The reviewers definitely aren't sold on the looks though, and there are plenty of jokes at its expense. Although, only paying attention to the polarizing exterior styling makes missing the good handling and immense interior utility easy. Sadly, without the aid of forced induction, the 900 offers very lackadaisical acceleration. According to this clip, the sprint to 60 miles per hour is more of jog in a leisurely 12.2 seconds. At the brand's best, Saab provided the motoring world with an alternative. If you didn't want just another boxy sedan, the brand offered something like nothing else on the road. Plus, drivers found a well-tuned turbocharged engine that provided good performance for the day. It's a company worth remembering, despite the current state of things.
Best and Worst GM Cars
Thu, Apr 7 2022Oh yes, because we just love receiving angry letters from devoted Pontiac Grand Am enthusiasts, we have decided to go there. Based on a heated group Slack conversation, the topic came up about the best and worst GM cars. First of all time, and then those currently on sale, and then just mostly a rambling discussion of Oldsmobiles our parents and grandparents owned (or engineered). Eventually, three of us made the video above. Like it? Maybe we can make more. Many awesome GM cars are definitely going unmentioned here, so please let us know your bests and worsts in the comments below. Mostly, it's important to note that this post largely exists as a vehicle for delivering the above video that dives far deeper into GM's greatest hits and biggest flops, specifically those from the 1980s and 1990s. What you'll find below is a collection of our editors identifying a best current and best-of-all-time choice, plus a worst current and worst-of-all-time choice. Comprehensive it is not, but again, comments. -Senior Editor James Riswick Best Current GM Vehicle Chevrolet Corvette We were flying by the seats of our pants a bit in this first outing and my notes were similarly extemporaneous. When it came time to tie it all together on camera, I failed spectacularly. Thank the maker for text, because this gives me the opportunity to perhaps slightly better explain my convoluted reasoning. I chose the C8 Corvette because it's simply overwhelmingly good, and it's merely the baseline from which this generation of Corvette will be expanded. While the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing (more on that in a minute) is an amazing snapshot of GM's current performance standing and its little sibling so enraptured me that I went out and bought one, their existence is fleeting. Corvette will live on; forced-induction Cadillac sport sedans, not so much. So while all three are amazing machines when viewed in a vacuum, the Corvette stands above them as both a reflection of GM's current performance credentials and a signpost of what is to come. So, given the choice between the C8 and the 5V-Blackwing right now, I'd choose the C8. In 10 years, when the Blackwing is no longer in production and Corvette is in its 9th generation? Well, that might be a different story. Now, just pretend I said something even remotely that coherent when we get to the part of the video where I try to make an argument for the 5-V Blackwing as best GM car I've ever driven. Or just laugh at me while I ramble incoherently.
GM recalling 316k vehicles due to headlamp faults
Mon, Dec 1 2014General Motors has announced a recall covering 316,357 vehicles globally, due to the possibility of sporadic or permanent failure of the low-beam headlamps. 273,182 of these vehicles are in the United States, while the remaining affected units are in Canada, Mexico, and elsewhere. This recall includes the 2006-09 Buick LaCrosse (pictured above), 2006-07 Chevy TrailBlazer and TrailBlazer EXT, 2006-07 GMC Envoy and 2006 GMC Envoy XL, 2006-07 Buick Rainier, 2006-08 Saab 9-7X, and 2006-08 Isuzu Ascender. In an email sent to Autoblog, General Motors explains that if the headlamp driver modules are not functioning correctly, "the low-beam headlamps and daytime running lamps could intermittently or permanently fail to illuminate." GM states that this problem does not affect things like high-beams, turn signals, marker lamps, or foglamps. As of this writing, GM states it "has not been able to confirm whether the HDMs in these vehicles caused any vehicle accidents." The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has been notified, but the recall has not yet posted to the government agency's website. Scroll down to read the full details in GM's email. General Motors is recalling 273,182 Buick LaCrosse sedans and Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, Saab and Isuzu midsize SUVs in the U.S. for possible intermittent or permanent loss of low beam headlamps. Affected models are: 2006-2009 Buick LaCrosse sedans; 2006-2007 Chevrolet TrailBlazer and 2006 TrailBlazer EXT; 2006-2007 GMC Envoy and 2006 Envoy XL; 2006-2007 Buick Rainier; 2006-2008 Saab 9-7X and 2006-2008 Isuzu Ascender midsize SUVs. If the headlamp driver modules is not operating correctly, the low-beam headlamps and daytime running lamps could intermittently or permanently fail to illuminate. This condition does not affect the high-beam headlamps, marker lamps, turn signals, or fog lamps. GM has not been able to confirm whether the HDMs in these vehicles caused any vehicle accidents. The total population, including the U.S., Canada, Mexico and exports from North America is 316,357. The NHTSA was sent the Part 573 information for this recall on November 25. It has not yet posted to the NHTSA website.
