We understand that buying a vehicle online can sometimes leave you un-easy. We are aware that there are other dealers online that do not fully describe the vehicles listed. They might leave important information out, or not have a thorough description of that item. Our goal is simple. We aim to be honest and fair with all of our deals. Word of mouth and return business is something we take very serious! We achieve this by providing you with all of the information YOU need to make a comfortable decision, and hopefully proceeding to your investment, a vehicle! We strive for A+ satisfaction. We do not want to waste anyone’s time, and definitely don’t want to mislead you. This is why we inform you of EVERYTHING we know, and provide you with detailed descriptions and conditions of the item for sale. Business is expanding, explaining the new eBay account. Up for NO RESERVE is a 2001 SAAB 9-5 wagon! IGNORE WHAT YOU HAVE HEARD ABOUT SAAB, just do your own research or ask me anything, I will give you my honest opinion about everything. This German assembled, turbo'd gas saver will receive the best MPG! Why sacrifice room for passengers when you can get this safe, reliable wagon. SAAB has proven to be very safe, reliable and unbreakable. If you maintain this vehicle properly it will last you forever. INTERIOR: THE REAR SEATS ARE HEATED! I would not have the color scheme any other way! The black interior looks and smells like it is still new. I have not seen any blemishes or stains and there are very light signs of wear. The windows work properly and the radio sounds great with speakers everywhere. On a cold wet day the heat works fast and hot. This seems to be a non-smoker. In my opinion this interior needs nothing. There are so many neat things this car can do. The car shows like it is a couple years old with half the millage. Every button/knob works as it should. Usually when I get a SAAB, its either perfect with nothing wrong, or its beat up and needs a lot of work or reconditioning. This one is in excellent shape! Nothing needs to be attended to or serviced. The owners of these types of cars are usually very meticulous about their cars, and this is one! EXTERIOR: The body is in great shape also. There are a very few, very light scratches or scuffs shown close up in the pictures; this is nothing that needs to be attended to and it will not rust anytime. The tires are in good shape also. The rear hatch works great and lifts with ease. The doors shut nice and latch quietly. MOTOR/HANDLING: The beautiful 9-5 starts right up and idles great with no hesitation. The car goes right into gear with no thump and there is no hesitation with any transition between gears or reversing. The winter mode is perfect for the snow and ice, you can feel the torque and the car stays at low rpm's so you wont spin. The transition feels smooth and easy. The acceleration was responsive and peppy. In sport mode (just the push of a button) the gears shift very fast and the car takes off. The turbo picks up like a dream, and the boost gauge moves so fast. Within seconds you are at 60 mph. The gears feel so rapid when it downshifts. The brakes have balanced pressure and stop the car with ease with no wobbling. This wagon feels smooth and takes turns like a champ! This car hits the road very nice and likes to grip it hard. This car gives a welcoming impression and feels very safe. With low miles on it you know this car can reach 300k with routine maintenance and still go! There is plenty of room for you on this vehicle! Basically this is a great car that is famous for safety (the first to earn the highest side impact rating) and reliability, because of that people sell these for a lot of money, and they know they will get it. This is a great second car for anyone, family or not. This wagon would also be a great first car for your young ones starting out (so you wont have to worry as much). Maybe you want better fuel economy, or more room? With this SAAB 9-5 wagon, you have everything you need, MPG, cargo room, passenger room, reliability, safety, and style. The millage is just right! All of this is just a bid away! If this is what you are looking for, be glad you are looking at this one because your search is now over. Don't second guess yourself, just get it! I am accepting reasonable offers, feel free to message me! Thank you for looking. Happy bidding! NEVS Emily GT electric sedan developed by ex-Saab engineers finds a buyer
Wed, Aug 2 2023Even in death, Saab could not rest in peace. In life, the Swedish automaker never managed to get out from between the sales rock and the financial hard place. After GM bought half the company in 1989 and took full control in 2000, the inevitable brand engineering led to cars like a Saab 900 on an Opel platform, a Subaru Impreza rebadged as a Saab 9-2XÂ and a Chevrolet Trailblazer turned into a Saab 9-7x. This went as well as anyone who knew Saab would expect. Come January 2010, Saab was dead. Or rather, Saab had entered a zombie state rebranded as New Electric Vehicle Sweden (NEVS), two Chinese companies in succession buying the automaker's intellectual property, both having to walk away due financial issues at the parent companies. Earlier this year, NEVS showed one of the projects it continued to work on throughout the turmoil, a four-seat battery-electric car called the Emily GT. NEVS said it was looking for a buyer for the project or the entire company. According to Sweden's Auto, Motor und Sport (translated) that broke the story, and further reporting from Saab Planet, the search has succeeded and the Emily will come to life. Saab Planet writes that in March of this year, a Swedish company called Stenhaga Invest bought 80% the the Stallbacka factory and office complex in Trollhattan where Saab used to build its cars, NEVS holding onto the remaining 20%. AMS reported that an as-yet-unknown European investor has signed a letter of intent to purchase two of the 13 projects NEVS said it has been working on, the Emily GT and the PONS, an autonomous shuttle. Svante Andersson, who runs Stenhaga, is reported to have said the unnamed investor is interested in taking control of "a substantial area" of the Trollhattan facilities, "indicating that a significant number of people will be employed in Trollhattan." Back in March, an NEVS engineer said properly funded development could get the Emily GT into production in less than two years. Based on the sports sedan we've been told about, that seems reasonable. Ineos chief Sir Jim Ratcliffe announced the Ineos Automotive Grenadier in 2017, showed a concept in 2020, and had a model running the hill at Goodwood in 2021 — four years for a ground-up design. Saab Planet writes that "a timeline for relaunch is expected to be announced after a meeting between the parties involved during week 32," which would be the week of August 7.
NEVS mulling electric Saab 9-3 convertible, looking for engine partners, too
Wed, 14 Nov 2012Do you believe in reincarnation? Like how we hope that, maybe, all of our hard work as auto writers will result in an eventual return as a swarm of beautiful butterflies. If you are a Saab fan, the equivalent could be this bit of news: The 9-3 Convertible may rise again, as an electric vehicle.
Word comes from the Dutch version of Autoweek that Chinese entity National Electric Vehicle Sweden (NEVS) has indicated that it will bring an electric version of the 9-3 Convertible to market in the next 18 months. The EV droptop would first debut in the Chinese market, but could expand, as could the lineup to other 9-3 variants, such as the sedan and SportCombi. A NEVS spokesperson has stated, "NEVS basically no doors holds." We're not sure if that's the spokesperson or the translation from the Dutch report, but you get the gist.
NEVS also indicated that conventionally powered versions of the 9-3 could be produced as well. The internal combustion engines could be the originally intended General Motors engines. Regardless of powerplant, we would be very eager to see Saab return, potentially as an EV to boot!
Son surprises mom with her dream car, a 1973 Saab 99
Wed, Aug 13 2014Often, it feels like the news is just a never-ending stream of one depressing headline after another. It can be so liberating to see something positive and uplifting every once in a while. Just look at the ecstatic expression on this mother's face after receiving her dream car from her son. Mom has some seriously quirky taste too: she isn't after a muscle car or a two-seat droptop; instead, it's a 1973 Saab 99 EMS in a very '70s shade of copper at the top of her wish list. According to the video, it took her son about a year to track down this hunk of Swedish steel and save up the money to purchase it. Though, judging from his mom's reaction, it was worth every penny. She puts together what's going on with the Saab pretty quickly and immediately starts swearing at her son – out of love, of course. If you're feeling a little blue, consider this a much-needed pick-me-up. Watching the unbridled joy of someone getting something that they always wanted just feels wonderful.
