For your consideration is one 2003 Saab 9-3 SE Convertible with only 57,900 miles on it.  I bought this car two months ago as a daily driver and have put the last 3,000 miles on it.  I have thoroughly enjoyed driving it.  It runs fantastic, handles excellently, and gets outstanding gas mileage.

The outside is black and shines nicely showing only minor normal wear.  In fact, I going to try and get my paintless dent remover out here to take them out.  The factory canvas top is black and is in outstanding condition and works perfectly. There is, of course, absolutely no rust.

The inside is tan leather and is in nearly showroom condition.  It even still has the factory Saab floormats.  The carpets and door panels are excellent.

Features on this fun cruising car include power windows, power locks, remote entry (two keys), front and rear factory foglights, automatic headlights, a perfect working information display, speed control, factory AM/FM/CD, traction control, heated seats, Onstar (not currently activated), driver's side memory seat, factory 16" alloy wheels, and a lot more I can't even think of off hand.  The A/C display doesn't completely light up but I am currently looking for a replacement.  I suspect it needs a new ribbon or to be resealed.  That said, though, it works perfectly.  It just doesn't fully display. Any Saab driver knows this is typical.

Under the hood, the 2.0L 4 cylinder turbo charged engine runs great.  It has plenty of power and is as smooth as, and feels like, a V6 with no 4 Cylinder buzz.  Yet, I consistently get 34.7 mpg highway without the A/C on (it is a convertible after all) and a consistent 33 mpg with the A/C on.  The CEL light is on.  I pulled the code and it indicates the ignition module may need to be replaced eventually, but, the car is running great and has never given me any issues whatsoever.  If the buy it now price of $5500 is met or exceeded, I will purchase a new ignition module to go with the car or be installed at the winner's discretion.

Just to make this car whole lot more enjoyable, as if the convertible wasn't enough, this car is equipped with the rare manual transmission.  The clutch picks up nicely and it shifts through the gears smoothly.

We are selling this vehicle with a 30 day/1000 mile warranty to customers within 30 miles of us.

We are a dealer located at 4279 N Blackstock Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29301.  We are very convenient to I85 business right off of exit 1.

If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to contact us.  Our telephone number is 864-576-2458.  Ask for David.  We are open 7 days a week and holidays at your convenience.  We can provide more photos if you would like them.  Thank you for looking at our ad.

High bidder is required to make contact me within 24 hours of the end of the auction.

$500 deposit (cashier's check or money order) is required within 2 days of the end of the auction with the remaining balance due 4 days thereafter.

If the high bidder does not satisfy the balance in the alotted time period and does not make prior arrangements, the $500 deposit is non-refundable and I reserve the right, at that point, to offer the vehicle to the second highest bidder.

If I do not hear from the high bidder within 48 hours from the end of the auction, I reserve the right to offer/sell the car to the second highest bidder.

Zero feedback bidders are welcome, but please contact me prior to bidding.  I reserve the right to cancel zero feedback bids that have not done this.  Please keep this in mind if you are a "last minute" bidder.

This vehicle is listed for sale locally for $5500.  We reserve the right to end this auction early if the reserve has not been met and it sells locally.  However, once the reserve is met on the Ebay auction we will pull it from the lot.

I have set the reserve at $4500.  Please note that I will not end this auction early except under the circumstances listed above.  Ending an auction early when the reserve has been met is unfair to the other bidders and, quite frankly, downright unethical.

We would be happy to pick up the winning bidder at the local airport (Greenville Spartanburg International Airport), the local train station, or the local Greyhound station.

I do not pad our prices with any "documentation" fees like so many other car dealers on Ebay do.  Contrary to what many dealers will say it really doesn't cost much to fill out a couple of papers.  SC buyers will need to pay standard taxes (sales and property when applicable).  I can also help out of state buyers get a South Carolina temporary/vehicle in transit tag ($20).

Finally, SHIPPING...we do not ship cars ourselves.  However, we will be happy to work with your shipper any way we can.

Subaru recalls 81,000 Impreza models for airbag replacement

Sun, May 31 2015

Subaru has submitted paperwork to The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration regarding an Impreza recall to replace faulty Takata airbag inflators, and the final tally is 81,100 units built between January 28, 2003 and May 31, 2005. Earlier this month Subaru had projected 78,000 Imprezas would be recalled from the 2004 and 2005 model years, but that final number also includes the Saab 9-2x; that Saab model, nicknamed the "Saabaru," was a badge-engineered Impreza Wagon that General Motors began selling in 2004. Affected Saab models were built from February 11, 2004 to March 17, 2005. This recall specifically affects passenger-side inflators, and Subaru and GM will notify owners that they can take their cars to the dealer for a free repair. The recall doesn't officially begin, however, until July 17, 2015. The notice from the NHTSA below has more information. Related Video: Report Receipt Date: MAY 28, 2015 NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V323000 Component(s): AIR BAGS Potential Number of Units Affected: 81,100 Manufacturer: Subaru of America, Inc.SUMMARY: Subaru of America, Inc. (Subaru) is recalling certain model year 2004-2005 Impreza vehicles manufactured January 28, 2003, to May 31, 2005, and 2005 Saab 9-2x vehicles manufactured February 11, 2004, to March 17, 2005. The affected vehicles are equipped with a passenger side frontal air bag that may be susceptible to moisture intrusion which, over time, could cause the inflator to rupture upon its deployment.CONSEQUENCE: In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the passenger's frontal air bag, the inflator could rupture with metal fragments striking the vehicle occupants potentially resulting in serious injury or death.REMEDY: Subaru will notify their owners and General Motors will notify Saab owners. Dealers will replace the passenger air bag inflator, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin July 27, 2015. Owners may contact Subaru customer service at 1-800-782-2783. Owners of Saab vehicles may call 1-800-955-9007. Subaru's number for this recall is WQR-53. Note: This recall partially supersedes recall 14V-763 in that model year 2004 through 2005 Subaru Impreza and model year 2005 Saab 9-2x vehicles are now only part of this campaign.NOTES: Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Koenigsegg plans a ‘CO2 neutral’ hybrid supercar

Fri, Feb 1 2019

Fresh from receiving a 150 million-euro infusion from National Electric Vehicle Sweden, the Chinese-backed company that bought up Saab's assets out of bankruptcy, supercar maker Koenigsegg has signaled just what it plans to do under the new joint venture. Christian von Koenigsegg gave an interview to Top Gear in which he said he wants to develop an all-new supercar to sit below ultra-exclusive models like the Agera RS and Regera, priced at around ˆ1 million (about $1.15 million) to grow sales from 20 a year into the hundreds, because "our brand has outgrown our production volumes by quite a big margin." And it will feature a novel, "completely CO2 neutral" hybrid powrtrain using the "freevalve" camless combustion engine technology the company has been developing in concert with battery-electric power. "Given the freevalve technology, we can actually cold-start the car on pure alcohol, down to -30 degrees Celsius, so there's no need for any fossil fuel mix then," he told Top Gear. "The idea is to prove to the world that even a combustion engine can be completely CO2 neutral." Von Koenigsegg previously hinted at the setup after talking about how his engineers were responding to Tesla's claims that its forthcoming next-generation Roadster would be capable of a 1.9-second 0-60 mph time. He further hints that the new hybridized supercar will look unmistakably like a Keonigsegg but be in a different segment altogether from either the Agera RS or plug-in hybrid Regera. Consider us very much intrigued and eager to hear more. Meanwhile, Koenigsegg has said it plans to reveal the successor to the Agera RS next month at the Geneva Motor Show based on a refined version of the same supercharged V8 combustion engine. The new joint venture with NEVS, meanwhile, sees that company take a 65 percent ownership stake, with Koenigsegg holding the rest and contributing its trove of intellectual property, technology licenses and product design. NEVS also gets a 20 percent stake in Koenigsegg itself. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. This virtually new, very last Saab 9-3 could be yours

Mon, Oct 7 2019

The date is October 7, 2019, and it is currently possible to buy a virtually new 2014 Saab 9-3 Aero Turbo4. Spiking the car's rarity is the fact that this specific vehicle is said to be the last Saab to roll off the production line in Trollhattan, Sweden. Driven only 41 miles, chassis No. YTNFD4AZXE1100257 is a true piece of Swedish automotive history, and it's set for auction this month. We first got word of this car back in June 2019, and the time has finally come for this Saab to be sold. As previously reported, this vehicle is from the National Electric Vehicle Sweden (NEVS) era. The seller, Bilweb Auctions, says it is the last Saab to come off the manufacturing line, and it was reportedly set aside for crash testing. The testing never occurred, and the sedan, one of only 420 built, survived. The seller says the mileage comes from running the car on the test track next to the old plant for photography and videography purposes.  This 9-3 Aero uses a Ecotec 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 217 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. It has immaculate Diamond Silver paint and matching silver turbine wheels. Inside, there is a two-tone interior with cream leather seats, a black dashboard, and black accents. According to Autocar, the proceeds of the auction will go to NEVS' Sustainable Mobility Scholarship at University West in Sweden. Bidding on the car opens soon, and interested parties can sign up to be alerted when the auction starts.   Auto News Auctions Saab Sedan
