2003 Saab 9-3 Arc Sedan 4-door 2.0l Rare 6 Speed Manual Trans on 2040-cars
Colmar, Pennsylvania, United States
Offered for sale is a very nice 2003 Saab 9-3 Arc with a 6 speed Manual transmission. The 6 speed manual was a one year only option for the Arc. All other years have the 5 speed manual. This car is very well appointed with power everything, automatic climate controls, sunroof, auto up and down windows, keyless entry, 6 disc indash CD player. This has the same 210 hp 2.0L engine found in the vector/aero cars. I had the car serviced including oil change, new rear O2 sensor, the fuel level sensor has been replaced as well. The interior is in very good shape other than the typical button wear you find on most of these model Saabs. It does have weathertech all season mats in the car as well. The body does have some scrapes and dents. I pictured below the most noticeable ones. The suspension has been upgraded with Bilstein HD shocks and struts and rides and handles like new. The clutch in the car grabs perfectly and is an absolute joy to drive. The tires and brakes are virtually new. This car needs nothing to drive home today. The only item that doesn't work is the drivers door power lock button.
Please let me know if you have any questions The car is being sold AS IS NO WARRANTY Ohio Buyers must pay Ohio sales tax.

3 former Saab execs charged with tax evasion
Mon, 20 May 2013The Associated Press reports three former Saab executives have been arrested on charges of accounting fraud. Swedish prosecutor Olof Sahlgren has refused to identify the individuals, but says they're suspected of attempting to evade taxes by falsifying Saab accounts between 2010 and 2011 during the Spyker years. Other reports indicate the parties involved include former General Counsel to Saab Kristina Geers (seen to the left of former CEO Victor Muller, above), a 15-year-veteran of the company - her husband, Eric, was the company's communications director for 9 years as well.
Saab filed for bankruptcy in 2011, and was purchased shortly thereafter by National Electric Vehicle Sweden. If convicted, the trio could face up to four years in prison for their crimes under Swedish law.
What brands have Saab owners defected to? Polk investigates
Sun, 02 Sep 2012When a brand goes belly-up, it's natural for analysts to wonder where that brand's consumers will turn. General Motors has mothballed more car brands the last decade than most other automakers' have in their entire portfolios, so "Where did [insert brand here] buyers go?" has been a common question asked of The General. According to reports, it didn't do so well at retaining Oldsmobile owners (who supposedly went to Hyundai), or Hummer and Saturn buyers, but did get some return love from Pontiac owners.
A consultant with Polk has turned the loyalty lens on Saab. The Polk Disposal Loyalty Methodology tracks owners selling vehicles within six months of buying a new one. In 2010 and 2011, Polk found that when Saab died, owners went right up the middle of the mainstream to Honda. It was close, though, with just 0.2 percent separating Honda from number two Volkswagen. Audi comes in third.
After that it's back to the masses with Toyota, Chevrolet and Ford trumping import luxury brands. And if you combine all of the General Motors brands that Saab owners have migrated to, GM more than doubles Honda with a 15.2-percent share, so all the love is not lost.
Saab begins 9-3 EV pilot production
Thu, 10 Apr 2014To say that Saab has had a tough time lately would be like saying that it's been a little colder than usual this winter. After General Motors finally gave up and sold it to Spyker in 2010, Saab declared bankruptcy the following year. GM successfully blocked Spyker from selling Saab to Chinese automaker Youngman the following year, but ultimately it ended up in the hands of another Chinese consortium called NEVS. Standing as it does for National Electric Vehicle Sweden, the new owners promised not only to restart production of the long-suffering 9-3, but also to turn it into an electric vehicle. And that's just what it's doing.
The latest news coming out of Sweden indicates that NEVS/Saab has started building the first examples of the 9-3 EV. These first 200 or so examples are set to be shipped off to Qingdao - the Chinese city that is home to the Tsingtao brewery, hosted the sailing components of the 2008 summer games on Beijing, was supposed to host an IndyCar race in 2012 before it was canceled, and also itself just happens to own 22 percent of NEVS.
These first EVs have their batteries mounted down low in the chassis for a low center of gravity and have a range of about 20 miles on a full charge. That's absolutely paltry compared to the other EVs on the market: a Nissan Leaf will travel more than four times that distance, and a Tesla Model S will go ten times farther on a charge.
