the car has between 210 and 220,000 miles on it (been a while since I fired up the digital cluster). clean and clear MN title with Lien release in hand.
car has front right damage to the headlight and grille. valueable Viggen bumper was un touched. also has a large wrinkle in the passenger side quarter panel behind the door.
radiator leaks from the front impact with a trailer hitch.
engine starts right up even though gas is two years old now. no boost leaks, car is fast quiet and powerful. engine is great.
transmission is missing second, third and fourth gears. first, fifth and reverse work fine. assume trans is trash.
interior is black/blue two-tone leather in pretty decent shape. no rips or tears but is worn to normal levels with the age and miles. Viggen aluminum dashboard panel in good shape. factory head unit and HVAC all in place.
rear spoiler, bumper and side skirts all present and in good condition.
wheels are 18" VoXX with Kumho ecsta AST rubber. all hold air. tread is ok but not great. brakes work well.

Saab 900 SPG is the latest Petrolicious love story

Produced from 1978 to 1998, the 900 enjoyed a long history, and thanks to its iconic look, it's quickly becoming a modern classic for the off-kilter car enthusiast. The SPG, short for Special Performance Group, makes this a particularly rare find, with owner Jordan Melville saying, "I didn't even realize what I had at the time."
Melville gives a rundown of his life with the 900 and his passion for Saab overall, even reflecting on that dark day that saw the Swedish brand closed its doors. This virtually new, very last Saab 9-3 could be yours
Mon, Oct 7 2019The date is October 7, 2019, and it is currently possible to buy a virtually new 2014 Saab 9-3 Aero Turbo4. Spiking the car's rarity is the fact that this specific vehicle is said to be the last Saab to roll off the production line in Trollhattan, Sweden. Driven only 41 miles, chassis No. YTNFD4AZXE1100257 is a true piece of Swedish automotive history, and it's set for auction this month. We first got word of this car back in June 2019, and the time has finally come for this Saab to be sold. As previously reported, this vehicle is from the National Electric Vehicle Sweden (NEVS) era. The seller, Bilweb Auctions, says it is the last Saab to come off the manufacturing line, and it was reportedly set aside for crash testing. The testing never occurred, and the sedan, one of only 420 built, survived. The seller says the mileage comes from running the car on the test track next to the old plant for photography and videography purposes. This 9-3 Aero uses a Ecotec 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 217 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. It has immaculate Diamond Silver paint and matching silver turbine wheels. Inside, there is a two-tone interior with cream leather seats, a black dashboard, and black accents. According to Autocar, the proceeds of the auction will go to NEVS' Sustainable Mobility Scholarship at University West in Sweden. Saab's Victor Muller wanted to nix Griffin, return to airplane emblem
Tue, 09 Oct 2012According to Just-Auto.com Victor Muller wasn't a fan of the Saab Griffin logo. The executive was quoted as saying he wanted to "abolish" the Griffin logo and return to the airplane emblem. Muller made it clear that if he'd had his way, the propeller would have replaced the Griffin across the Saab lineup long ago.
National Electric Vehicle Sweden, the company that recently bought Saab, was forced to abandon the Griffin logo due to the fact that the emblem is still used by truck manufacturer Scania. The manufacturer is reportedly concerned about potential Chinese counterfeiting - NEVS is owned by Youngman, a Chinese automaker - though it's unclear how that relationship would lead to illegal copies.
Either way, NEVS has said the loss of the Griffin logo isn't that important to the company so long as it can continue to build on the Saab name. Muller, meanwhile, said he wishes NEVS luck in the company's electric-vehicle endeavor, but that he doesn't understand its new business model.
