1985 Rolls Royce Silver Spur

Nothing says you have arrived than showing up in a Rolls-Royce Silver Spur, the epitome of high end luxury and
presence. It is still the bench mark for all automotive manufactures and budding millionaires alike. This stunning
piece of automotive artistry is a 3 owner 1985 Rolls Royce Silver Spur with just over 21,200 miles. The original
owner was from GA and drove it until 2004 when they sold it to a dealer in Arizona who used the car for several
months before listing it for sale. That dealer sold this icon in 2005 to an enthusiast in Virginia. The current
owner of this lavish vehicle purchased it several years ago to add to his small collection of English and antique
cars. He is a car collector and the proprietor of a well-respected restoration shop in Monmouth Co, NJ. He is also
a certified appraiser and judge for the AACA and CCCA as well as a concour judge in several prestigious events.
What does this mean to you? A man of this caliber will only want and own the best. This also has a clean CARFAX
showing no accidents or issues.

The overall condition of this Rolls is quite stunning. This is truly as nice in person as it looks in these
pictures. It has excellent silver paint that was redone prior to the current owner. Smooth and glossy, just as you
would expect. The original blue Ever Flex roof is in wonderful condition. The bright trim is equally as nice as the
rest of the exterior. The blue leather interior in well preserved condition. There is only the slightest showing of
wear on the driver’s seat, as expected for a vehicle of its age. The Burl Wood dash, door caps, and rear seat
picnic tables are in excellent condition. Even the upholstery inside the trunk is in great shape. It even has its
original tools. Everything works on this fantastic, well maintained and sorted vehicle. The 6.5 L (411ci) V8 Fuel
Injected engine powers this smooth ride propelling down the highway in absolute comfort. The saying "Nothing rides
like a Rolls" is not just braggadocio. I have had the pleasure of riding in this car on many occasions and I can
tell you, it has to be one of the smoothest vehicles I have ridden in. The suspension and braking system is in
perfect working order. The air conditioning is nice and chilly. The fluids were all recently changed and the tires
were also replaced within the last few years just due to age. It needs nothing but a garage to sleep in. There were
only 6,238 Silver Spurs produced from 1980 thru 1989. I am sure you will have additional questions and I welcome
any and all inquiries before you buy this lovely vehicle. This is an enthusiast owned and well sorted Silver Spur
that needs nothing but a new loving owner. Live the life of luxury and opulence at a fraction of the original cost.

Rolls-Royce builds one of its smallest cars ever

Wed, Mar 1 2017

Kid-size versions of expensive cars are nothing new, and a handful have come out in the past year. McLaren released a tiny iteration of its P1, and Morgan did the same with its EV3. Rolls-Royce has joined the crowd with its new Rolls-Royce SRH. Unlike those other British automakers, though, Rolls only built one, and it went to a good home. The car was built for the St. Richard's Hospital Pediatric Day Surgery Unit, located in the same town as Rolls-Royce headquarters. The car also gets its SRH name from the hospital. It was provided to St. Richard's for patients to drive down to the operating theater. The hallway to the theater is decorated with road signs, too. Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Muller-Otvos said in a press release, "We hope that the Rolls-Royce SRH will serve to make the experience for young people during treatment a little less stressful." Also, just because the SRH is small doesn't mean less care was taken to build it. The same attention to detail Rolls-Royce brings to its large vehicles is on display here. For one thing, it was built by the Bespoke Manufacturing division, which builds specially customized models for clients. The car also features contemporary Rolls-Royce design features such as self-righting wheel centers, and an interior designed to precisely match the red coachline along the blue and silver body. Of course, there's also a small example of the Spirit of Ecstasy on the hood. Rolls even had a special unveiling for a couple of the hospital's patients at the factory, and allowed them to motor around the factory floor. Powering the little car is an electric motor coupled to a 24 volt battery. Speed is controlled via paddles behind the steering wheel, and it has a top speed of 10 mph, though that speed can be limited to 4 mph. After all, the car is going to a hospital, and there's no need to have inexperienced drivers causing additional injuries. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. Rolls-Royce Dawn teased, will debut on September 8

Wed, Sep 2 2015

The Rolls-Royce Dawn is coming, and we now have a handful of teaser shots, showing what we already know will be a four-passenger convertible based on the Ghost/Wraith. We have one more detail to confirm, too: the Dawn will officially greet the world on Tuesday, September 8, ahead of a public showing at the Frankfurt Motor Show. We can't yet show you the whole car, but there's still quite a bit we can tell you. The Dawn has a lot of Wraith elements, but is different in a number of ways (and not just because it's a convertible). Excluding the doors, every body panel on the Dawn is new. The front looks like a Ghost, but the chin is pulled forward slightly. With the top up, the convertible kind of looks like a big, fancy hot rod. It's an exceptionally pretty car, especially in dark blue. The interior uses a four-seat configuration, with ample space in the rear for passengers. The Dawn's cabin uses the same layout as the Wraith, and it's seriously luxurious. There is plenty more information we still can't share with you, like engine details, but it won't be long before we can spill all the beans. Stay tuned for the official details and images on Tuesday, September 8.

Rolls-Royce readying Wraith convertible

Thu, 08 May 2014

For seven years, Rolls-Royce got by on the Phantom line alone, expanding on the original saloon with a long-wheelbase version, a coupe and the convertible. But now that the Ghost is part of the family, Goodwood seems to be following a similar expansion.
What started with the Ghost sedan has since been joined by the extended-wheelbase model and the Wraith fastback coupe. And now we're receiving spy shots of a Wraith-based convertible undergoing testing.
Potentially to be called the Wraith Drophead Coupe like its larger Phantom-based counterpart, the cabrio is likely to borrow much from the Wraith fastback - including its 6.6-liter twin-turbo V12 producing 624 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque - but with a folding cloth roof mechanism to let the wind and engine note in, although the prototype pictured here is wearing a makeshift hardtop.
