***1984 Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit***
NO RESERVE AUCTION

This Rolls-Royce could either be restored or used as a parts car.  It's all there, except that I have No Key for it.  It does have a clear PA Title.  Without the key it's hard to really check it out, but I did jump the starter and the motor will run, it's not seized or knocking.  It started up right away but only for a few seconds because it can't get any fuel without the ignition turning on the fuel pump/fuel injection.  All the lights turned on as well when I jumped the starter so I know they're working.

This is a solid Rolls and it could probably be fixed and driven.  Something is broken in the transmission, I'm not sure what, and the brakes will need work.  I heard Rolls-Royce used GM sourced Turbo 400 transmissions in these cars.

Or the car could be parted out for a lot of money.  The body is in good shape, all the doors are good, the hood is good, and the front grille is in great shape.  The only thing wrong with the body is that there's a dent in the trunk lid, a dent on the driver's side front fender, and the driver's side rear tail light lens is broken.  All the glass is tinted and it's all in excellent condition with no cracks.

The interior is in very good shape as well.....the carpets, headliner, door panels, dash, and seats are all in good shape.  The seats are brown leather with white piping.  The tires are Goodyear Eagle GA, size 235/70/R15's and they have a lot of tread left, they're some kind of special heavy-duty tires I think.....they're made in Luxembourg.

I'm sure I'm missing stuff and I'm not familiar with these kinds of cars, but I took a lot of pictures of it so check them all out, the pictures probably say more than I can say about it.  I'm not sure what it means or if it helps anybody out, but the tag under the hood says "Trim No.  VM890, VM3234, 4273" and "Paint No.  9510451".

This car obviously has to be towed from my house and it will be the buyer's responsibility to do that.  I live in zip code 08053.  Let me know if you have any questions and I'll try to answer them.  Thanks.

Here's an official peek at the Rolls-Royce SUV

Thu, Dec 1 2016

Rolls-Royce let out a pair of new images of Project Cullinan, the company's attempt to deliver ultra-luxury and brick-like aerodynamics in an SUV form factor. These images mark the first time we've seen Project Cullinan in its production body, albeit clad with swirly camouflage. All our previous spy photos showed a Phantom with a ridiculous wing, for example. These new images hide the wagon-like traits of the rear, but are a strong sign that Rolls has finalized the Cullinan's design. The prominent slatted grille and imposing headlights are the big design calling cards, but even with the camouflage, the upright fascia and long hood stand out as distinguishing styling traits. Even the mirrors say "Rolls-Royce", sitting atop delicate stalks with sizable housings on top. We can't divine much about the Cullinan's tail or rear haunches, so there's still some mystery yet to be revealed. With these are official images out, we expect an influx of spy images in the very near future. According to the company, Cullinan will move to the Arctic Circle for cold-weather testing after the Christmas holidays. Later next year, it's off to what's likely the SUV's primary market – the Middle East – for hot weather testing. Naturally, our spies should return a bevy of images of both hot and cold-weather testing. Stay tuned. View 2 Photos

Not every Rolls-Royce Cullinan Black Badge comes in black

Fri, Nov 15 2019

SPARTANBURG, S.C. — When Rolls-Royce recently unveiled the Cullinan Black Badge, the released press photos were of a very black car in a very black environment. But that did not match the car that was actually shown to the press. Quite the opposite, actually. The small event at the BMW Zentrum factory in South Carolina took place at night under a set of bright lights, and the car that came through the curtain wore a bright white body. We were fortunate enough to spend a brief time with the white Black Badge and snapped some photos of its details. As a reminder, all Black Badges have upgraded performance on top of the altered visual cues. Its twin-turbocharged 6.75-liter V8 has been upgraded to make 600 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque, and the brakes, suspension and exhaust have been retuned as well. We spent an extremely limited amount of time in the Black Badge, so we cannot offer full comments about how it drives, but we can say the exhaust offers a nice insulated grumble in "Low" mode, the quickness off the line doesn't make any sense for a vehicle its size (trust us, it is huge), and it seemed controlled while cruising up the curves onto the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina, where these photos were taken.  The white paint exaggerates the parts Rolls-Royce darkens on all Black Badge models. The Spirit of Ecstasy, the grille surround, the inverted badging, the side frame finishers, the trunk handle, the trunk trim, the lower air inlet finisher, and the exhaust pipes have all gone black. Inside, this particular Cullinan has a red leather interior with patterned carbon fiber accents. It also has light contrast stitching, which includes infinity signs, a symbol used on Sir Malcolm Campbell's Rolls-Royce-powered Blue Bird K3 hydroplane. Check out all the details, including the built-in event seats in the trunk, in our massive gallery above. Rolls-Royce rolls out special Al-Adiyat edition in the Middle East

Fri, Feb 27 2015

Rolls-Royce regularly makes special editions for one market or another. And lets face it: most of them are in the Middle East, or more specifically along the Persian Gulf. But their names don't always translate well to English, even for an English automaker. The last one, for example, was characterized as a Mysore. And this latest one is for Adiyats. Al-Adiyat is actually what this latest special run of Rolls-Royces are called, taking its name from the Arabic word describing the sound hoofs make when they hit the ground. It's a limited edition of just ten coupes, including nine Wraiths and the one and only Phantom Coupe you see here. The collection takes its inspiration from horses, "with motifs of reigns and horses, while gold-plated horseshoe stamps make a striking statement upon the clock and treadplates." The look is completed (on the Phantom at least) with a bright red paintjob that continues inside with red leather, carpets and headliner. In short, it's not for subtle tastes, but we don't doubt that Rolls will sell each and every one, assuming it hasn't already.
