Have
you always dreamed of owning the most prestigious car ever made but your budget
didn’t allow it? If you always wanted a Rolls-Royce but couldn’t; we now have
the car you have been dreaming of! Pedigree Motorcars is proud to offer this
beautiful Silver Spirit. The Silver Spirit was introduced in 1981; it was the company’s first new sedan
in 17 years. Complete with fuel injection, fully independent suspension, rack
and pinion steering, and 4 wheel disc brakes, this saloon drove as well as it
looks. Inside it was complete with everything Rolls-Royce was known for.
Connolly hides, Wilton Carpets, and walnut veneer lined everything creating the
most inviting environment. This Silver Spirit is in beautiful condition. Its body is straight and doesn’t
suffer from the normal areas of corrosion that are typical on these cars. In
fact, we haven’t found any rust on the body. All of the body panels are
straight and the chrome gleams. Although not in new condition, the overall
condition of the paint is beautiful. There are a couple of areas where there is some cracking in the paint. We do show them in the photos. They look worse in the pictures than they do in person. Also the left rear tail light has a crack in it. It works perfectly but there is a small crack. They right side rear tail light is perfect. It retains the original stainless steel,
painted wheel covers. All are in excellent condition. There are a matching
finelines to coordinate the exterior and interior colors. Inside, the brown
leather is beautiful. The wood veneer is original and has not beer refinished.
It shows the typical wear that a 98,000 mile 32 year old car has. The recently
reconditioned leather is beautiful. The seats still retain their firmness and
are very comfortable. Driving this Silver Spirit is a pleasure. The engine starts immediately without
hesitation and makes smooth and strong power. The transmission shifts so
smoothly, you can almost not feel the shifts. The Air conditioning is strong
and cool. When driving this Silver Spirit, you feel wonderful. You sit up high
and proud looking down on the Flying Lady guiding you down the motorway. It’s
an experience every enthusiast should experience. This Silver Spirit offers an opportunity to own the most prestigious automotive
icon at an incredibly affordable price. Although it is in excellent condition,
it is not new; it IS over 30 years old. It’s ready to be driven and enjoyed.

'Top Gear' episode 4 recap | A road trip through Borneo
Mon, Aug 5 2019Episode four of "Top Gear" season 27 is officially in the books, and if you like Freddie and Paddy, you probably enjoyed this one. The two went on a hell of an adventure through Borneo, but didn’t bring Chris Harris along for the ride. Maybe we were just getting accustomed to the three of them hanging out together, but the trip felt like it was missing something without Chris. Regardless, the feature film of this episode revolved around Freddie and Paddy driving the cheapest, rarest cars they could find. They bought them in Europe, then drove all throughout the island of Borneo, eventually reaching Brunei. Freddie got himself an Austin Allegro Estate, while Paddy made do with a Matra Bagheera S. If you had to look those cars up, we donÂ’t blame you. TheyÂ’re both rather obscure models, so itÂ’s safe to say they hit their mark on the rare requirement. Back at home base in England, Chris says he was reviewing a Rolls-Royce Cullinan. Funnily enough, Rolls wouldnÂ’t loan a Cullinan to "Top Gear" to test, so they had to go out and borrow one for the review. After listening to ChrisÂ’ thoughts on the SUV, it starts to become clear why Rolls may not have wanted the exposure. We wonÂ’t give it all away, but letÂ’s just say that the ultra-luxury ute didnÂ’t receive the most glowing of reviews. Bob Mortimer was the celebrity guest, so there were plenty of laughs to be had in his segment. He wasnÂ’t exactly fast in any of the car challenges, but the entertainment factor was certainly present with him cracking jokes. Even though the Borneo trip wasnÂ’t exactly the same without Chris, the other two managed quite well on their own. Freddie ate a live bug, and the mid-engine Matra made it to the end against all odds. Perhaps itÂ’s a testament to the companyÂ’s history of weathering tough conditions — Matra did win Le Mans three times throughout its history after all. At the very end of the episode, the boys made an admirable gesture by speaking out against the Sultan of BruneiÂ’s horrific laws against homosexual relations. They said that the filming for the episode occurred before the Sultan announced the new laws, and if "Top Gear" had known these rules would be enacted beforehand, they wouldnÂ’t have featured Borneo in their film. In response, Freddie and Paddy modified their Borneo rides with an epic paint job as a form of protesting the anti-gay laws. Good on ya, "Top Gear." Living Life Large: Driving $2 million worth of cars in one week
Mon, Aug 24 2015Monterey Car Week has quickly become one of my favorite events of the year. There's something for everyone – classic car shows, modern concepts and new vehicle debuts, auctions, racing, and so much more. From a media perspective, there's also a chance to drive a ton of cars. Many automakers bring their latest wares out to Monterey for us to test during our limited free time, and it's a great opportunity to experience fantastic metal against a gorgeous backdrop. That's exactly what I did this year. Instead of flying into Monterey and being driven around, my journey started in Los Angeles and ended in Napa, and I managed to get behind the wheel of some $2 million worth of new cars. Some were old favorites, and many were new experiences. But looking back, this was one of the best weeks of driving I've had in years. Rather than try to come up with some common arc to tie these cars together, here are my notes on all the cars I tested in California earlier this month, presented in the order in which they were driven. 2016 Mazda CX-3 The CX-3 pictured here isn't the exact one I drove in California, but it's close. The only difference was color – my delivered-to-LAX tester wore Mazda's awesome new Ceramic hue (pictured below on the MX-5 Miata). I used the CX-3 to slum through crummy Los Angeles traffic for two hours on the way out to Santa Barbara, with a quick stop at In-N-Out Burger on the way for good measure. A lot nicer inside than I remember. Everyone praises Mazda for its excellence in engineering and design, but there's a lot to be said for the improvements in overall interior refinement. Quiet, comfortable, and well-equipped; the CX-3 made sitting on the 405 freeway a lot more pleasant. Not all that functional. I had a hard time fitting a week's worth of luggage for two people inside. The cargo area and rear passenger compartment were filled, with only enough room on top to see out the back window. A Honda HR-V would've swallowed all that luggage with plenty of room for more. So good to drive. Not surprising, since this wasn't my first time in the CX-3. I knew this CUV would be good on twisty roads, but on the highway it's really exceptional. Road and wind noise are minimal and the overall ride quality is a comfortable sort of sporty. This is definitely something I could drive every day – it's enjoyable during commuting and entertaining on more interesting roads.
Rolls-Royce just unveiled the Rolls-Royce of picnic baskets
Wed, Aug 17 2016While automakers such as Cadillac and Koenigsegg have prepared debuts for full-size automobiles at Pebble Beach this week, Rolls-Royce has decided this will be the perfect occasion to unveil a picnic basket. That being said, this picnic basket is fully up to Rolls-Royce standards. And that's important because when you take your Rolls out for an al fresco lunch, a plain old blanket and an Igloo cooler simply won't do. There will only be 50 of these baskets made and they will accompany the final 50 Phantom Coupes and Drophead Coupes. Each is crafted from American walnut wood and leather that is coordinated with its accompanying car's exterior color. The basket also has milled aluminum hinges with the debut locations of the cars' concept predecessors. Because of course it does. View 11 Photos The basket is equipped with only the finest dining wares including a walnut cutting board, Rolls-Royce embroidered napkins, and stainless steel cutlery. Then there's the genuine lead crystal wine glasses and dishes with details in black paint and platinum. Obviously silver or gold wouldn't cut it. The basket will be shown at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance this weekend. So if you're there and are wondering why a picnic basket is being so prominently displayed, now you'll know.
