1993 ROLLS ROYCE SILVER SPUR III

56,402 Miles

THE SEARCH IS OVER..........THE SEARCH IS OVER !!!

Now on Ebay for your driving pleasure is this 1993 money green ROLLS ROYCE SILVER SPUR III luxury sedan in the DC/MD area.

I have too many cars and this mechanical masterpiece, sadly enough, has to go. It is a second owner and has been well-maintained over the years.

This Double R (RR) is one of the 1600 that were made by Rolls Royce in '93, so get ready to own a timeless classic.

She has been sitting since last year, so a good cleaning will be needed. She starts, runs and drives as it should and is accident-free.

There are some cosmectic flaws that will need attention, but there are NO dents, rust, oxidation in the paint etc.

Also could use a set of tires due to sitting in the garage since last year.

The Connoly leather interior has no rips, tears or scuffs  and is still soft and supple. Leather WILL need restoration, however, to bring out its richness.

Burl wood trim inlays are in excellent condition and are still very clear and bright with no cracks or discoloration.

The V8 engine is vault-like and will last a lifetime.

Lastly, this Silver Spur has lots of other little "goodies" such as rear power seats, picnic tables, metal (not plastic) AC vents, heated 7 memory seats, hand-made grill and many other options.

All serious parties can e-mail me @: 1ibentmywheel@gmail.com or text me at Two Zero Two, Seven One Seven-Three Three Eight Five for purchase.

All RR enthusiasts know the value of these cars, so hagglers, low-ballers, dreamers and those who are looking for "The Hook-Up" please look elsewhere.

I can get about $27-32k for this car, but, again, it will need some TLC to be 100% mint.

Overall, she is about a 7.5 out of 10 AS-IS.

I will entertain all sensible offers, but please do not be insulting.

Thank you for looking.

Rolls-Royce celebrates Maharajas with special Phantom DHC

Fri, 14 Nov 2014

A century ago, the princes and maharajas of India shared a relationship with Rolls-Royce that spanned five decades and saw the nobility on the subcontinent commissioning over 840 unique vehicles from the stoic marque. It's that golden age that Rolls-Royce celebrates with the debut of this one-of-a-kind luxury cabriolet.
Based on the Phantom Drophead Coupe, this unique Maharaja edition is distinguished by such special touches as Carrara White paint embellished with a peacock motif, emerald green coachline, a deep green top (hood in UK terminology), light creme leather interior with green accents, marquetry inlays and custom seashell embroidery.
Said to be two years in the making by the Rolls-Royce Bespoke division, this one-off Phantom DHC was unveiled not in India, but in Dubai, where a fascination with the Golden Age of the Raja is evidently alive and well.

Watch this Rolls-Royce Phantom get grassy knees

Mon, 17 Dec 2012

Here's a pro tip: if you're going to fire your chauffeur, make sure he hands over the keys to your Rolls-Royce Phantom first. If you don't, you just might wind up with scene like the one in the video below on your hands. In it, some sprightly soul decides to eschew the beaten path for a quick frolicking over hill and dale in the luxury leviathan. The grounds will never be the same. Grass, mud and water are all sent scattering as the Rolls-Royce proceeds to pound the earth into submission.
There's also a few smoky burnouts thrown in for good measure. We can appreciate any shenanigans with a high-dollar automobile that don't end in wrinkled sheetmetal. You can check out the full glory of the sideways Phantom in the video below.

Grey Poupon's Pardon Me Lost Footage ad airs during Oscars

Mon, 25 Feb 2013

Those of you that took our tip and tuned in for last night's Academy Awards may have caught the latest iteration of the famous Grey Poupon commercials, featuring a pair of Rolls-Royce sedans and their condiment-loving stewards. The update to the 1981 commercial was only shown in part on television, however, as the mustard company directed viewers to its website to see the entirety of the Lost Footage spot. Of course if you didn't bother then, you can just scroll down to see the full-length two-minute commercial here.
As you're viewing, note that the Grey Poupon marketers did not, it would appear, get official sanction from Rolls-Royce this time around. While the Rollers in the commercial have all sorts of James Bond-like accouterments, they don't appear to have the official Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornaments, for example, and they have restyled lights and grilles. Check out the new spot below, and see if it stacks up to the iconic Pardon Me original.
