No Reserve! Only Two Owners Since New, Great Shape In And Out, Classic Vehicle! on 2040-cars
Staten Island, New York, United States
Up for sale is this classic 1985 Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit. This Rolls-Royce is in very nice condition and runs and drives very well, especially for a 30 year old vehicle. The
exterior of this high-line vehicle is finished in champagne 2-tone and
complimented with dove grey hide inteior. Unfortunately, this car was
involved in a fresh water flood and its being sold with a salvage flood
title. I am not sure why the insurance company decided to brand this
car a flood car because I can see no sign of flood damage anywhere on
this vehicle.I dont believe any water touched this vehicle at all.
The Silver Spirit is in perfect mechanical condition and everything works the
way it should, and I mean everything! Every single light bulb lights up
and every switch functions properly. I have been driving this vehicle
on and off and its a really nice driving vehicle. I put about 200 miles on it and it runs 100% and gets about 20MPG! It turns heads where
ever it goes and people are always asking me about it. This vehicle
cost $150,000 when it was new!
All the detailing on the car was done and its ready for its new owner.
Nothing has to be done to this car! You can jump in this car and drive without any problems. The car has 130k
on it, so it has been used, but it has been cared for all these years. This
car was maintained top notch and has always had its maintanence done. This vehicle spent most of its life in out-of-state, so it was never
subjected to a cold or wet climate. So, you know this car was maintaned
the way it should and no expense was spared. This car just had it oil
and tranny fluid serviced, has tires with a nice amount of tread left, good brakes, new battery, good rotors, and good wiper blades. Its ready for its new owner.
This Rolls-Royce is loaded up with all the options you could possibly want.
It has power windows, power locks, cruise control, chrome wheel covers, power
mirrors, ice cold AC, original radio that works, power
seats with mutil position settings, full leather interior with solid wood
trimmings, power steering, electronic automatic transmission
lever, power boot and gas tank release (works great), and too much more to list.
The car comes with 2 original Rolls-Royce keys (yale). This vehicle also has all the original floor carpeting as well as the drivers side Rolls-Royce winter mat, rear foot
reats, both bottles of mineral brake fluid, original full size spare tire and the complete un-used tool kit with the tool box as well.
This vehicle is ready for the weekend cruising, just jump in and drive. The
exterior of the car looks very well. There is no
scratches, dents, or any other damage to talk about. Its super super
clean. The paint shines like glass, you can see your face in it. All
the rubber and moldings are in nice shape with no dry rot on them. All
the chrome trims are in perfect shape as well. The interior of the
car is also in very nice shape. There is some age here and there but nothing crazy. The seats show some age but there in no rips or tears in the leather. The door panels are in great condition with no major signs of wear. The wood trim on the dash has some age but also shows very well. The interior is in very good condition for its age, but do expect there to be some wear here and there. But overall its very nice and very presentable. Mechanically, the vehicle starts right up and runs well. The motor is powerful and the transmision shifts the way it should. I do not see any problems with this vehicle mechanically. All the electronics in the vehicle are working the way they are supposed to. I have posted a video of this car that is over 10 minutes long. In this video I show the vehicle running and driving. I also show all the electronics working. So please watch the video and look at all the pictures so you can see what a great vehicle this really is. Before this vehicle was "flooded"
it had a clean carfax with no accident history. I dont believe this
vehicle was ever in any accidents. This vehicle only had TWO owners since new. This car is being sold as-is, where-is, and there is no warranties
expressed or implied. This vehicle has a salvage flood title. If you
would like to see the car and test drive it, you are more than welcome
to do so. Also, feel free to ask me about the
buy-it-now price. If you are located outside my
local area, I will assist in any way possible in having the car shipped
to you at your cost. A $500 non-refundable deposit must be made within
24 hours on the auctions end. The remaining balance must be paid in
full by 3 days after the closing of the auction unless other
arrangements are discussed with me in advance. With that being said,
feel free to email, call, or text me at anytime if you have any
questions or concerns. My name is Matt and my number is 646-243-9866.
Thanks and good luck bidding!

2021 Rolls-Royce Ghost gets high-tech suspension, AWD, rear-wheel steering
Sun, Aug 16 2020The first-generation Rolls-Royce Ghost started life as a BMW 7 Series, and in 10 years on sale became the best-selling model the brand has known. That sedan ended production last year, leading Rolls-Royce to begin the process of introducing us to the second-generation Ghost. Having abundant feedback from customers about what they'd like in the new model, and, more importantly, having listened to the feedback, Rolls-Royce realized it would need to start from scratch. Engineers modified the aluminum-intensive Architecture of Luxury that supports the Phantom and Cullinan to fit the Ghost's needs, in standard and Extended Wheelbase spec. Instead of the predecessor's rear-wheel drive, the coming Ghost will get standard all-wheel drive. And taking another page from the big brother Cullinan, the entry-level offering will come with rear-wheel steering, too. Going beyond the other two models in the brand's lineup, the Ghost will be the first to fit what Rolls-Royce calls its Planar suspension that brings together three technologies. The first is an upper wishbone damper unit that's been three years in development, placed above the front suspension. The automaker didn't go into details, but the damper unit is said to provide an improvement on the brand's "hallmark magic carpet ride and dynamic abilities." The Flagbearer camera system monitors the road surface ahead to prepare the suspension, a technology offered on the Mercedes-Benz S-Class for a few years now. The third Planar trick is a satellite-aided transmission, wherein the ZF eight-speed automatic "draws GPS data to pre-select optimum gear for upcoming corners," a technology already in use on the Phantom. The bodywork won't stray far from what we know; designers wrapped Spirit of Ecstasy opulence into a discrete package. Inside, the gauge cluster will go digital inside three fixed instrument bezels, next to a widescreen infotainment display, and driver assistance features could include everything from night-vision to some advanced self-driving capability. Under the hood, we expect the same 6.75-liter V12 utilized by the Phantom and Cullinan, with something like 560 horsepower. The global situation pushed the Ghost's launch back, we're told. Deliveries should begin early next year, with a debut sometime between now and then. The first-gen ran $314,400 in standard length, $348,400 in EWB guise.
The Rolls-Royce Dawn leads this month's list of discounts
Wed, Jul 8 2020If you're one of the few readers of this site who is in the market for a $350,000 Rolls-Royce Dawn, well, first of all, good for you. And you should be prepared to keep some extra money in your pocket, too, as the drop-top Roller leads this month's list of the largest monetary discounts with an average of $14,733 taken off the machine's $359,250 sticker price. That means buyers are paying an average transaction price of $344,517 for the 2020 Rolls-Royce Dawn this month, according to data provided to Autoblog by TrueCar, which equals about 4.1% off the price on the sticker. An intriguing pair of supercars land in second and third positions this month. The 2019 Acura NSX is selling for an average of $145,174 this month, which represents a 9% discount, or $14,373. With an eerily similar 9% discount of $14,079 comes the 2020 Aston Martin Vantage, which has an average transaction price of $142,002 this month. The Maserati Quattroporte is up next with an average discount of $13,634. Another Rolls-Royce model lands in the fifth spot, but instead of the aging Dawn it's the brand-new Cullinan SUV. Although the luxury 'ute boasts a large discount of $12,427, its staggeringly high retail price of $332,750 means buyers are getting a little less than 4% off the sticker. More interesting to most buyers will be the 2019 Lincoln Navigator, which is one of our favorite full-size SUVs in America. Buyers of Lincoln's range-topping vehicle are getting average discounts of $11,761. That represents a 13.4% savings for a final price of $75,940. Muhammad Ali's 1970 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow is going for auction
Sun, Sep 16 2018Boxing fans and Rolls-Royce fans, get your wallets ready. A very special car is going to cross the Bonhams auction block this October. It's a 1970 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow Mulliner Park Ward convertible that was owned by none other than Muhammad Ali, the boxer that ended George Foreman's undefeated streak. Bonhams reports that the car was owned by Ali for 6 years, meaning Ali must've enjoyed this car and used it quite a bit. The company postulates that since Ali bought the car in 1970, it may have been a celebratory purchase, since that was the first year Ali could box again after a five-year ban from the sport for being a conscientious objector during the Vietnam War. The car itself has a number of notable features. For one thing, Bonhams says the car is completely unrestored, and is in quite good condition as such. It also is apparently one of just 272 Silver Shadow Mulliner Park Wards that were built with left-hand drive. It ended up in Holland after Ali's tenure with it, which is partly why it will go for auction at a Bonhams auction in Belgium. Also interesting is that this is a celebrity car – a nice one, too – that is in the realm of affordability. Bonhams estimates it could sell for between $47,000 and $70,000. The low end of that price is actually a couple grand less than Hagerty's estimate of $49,200 for a concours-ready example without celebrity history. And even at the high end, you'll still be paying way less for this than, say, a new Rolls-Royce Ghost. So if you can get yourself to Holland and have the means to buy and ship the car, this could be a way to get a great celebrity car for not a massive amount of money.
