No Reserve! Only Two Owners Since New, Great Shape In And Out, Classic Vehicle! on 2040-cars
Staten Island, New York, United States
Up for sale is this classic 1985 Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit. This Rolls-Royce is in very nice condition and runs and drives very well, especially for a 30 year old vehicle. The
exterior of this high-line vehicle is finished in champagne 2-tone and
complimented with dove grey hide inteior. Unfortunately, this car was
involved in a fresh water flood and its being sold with a salvage flood
title. I am not sure why the insurance company decided to brand this
car a flood car because I can see no sign of flood damage anywhere on
this vehicle.I dont believe any water touched this vehicle at all.
The Silver Spirit is in perfect mechanical condition and everything works the
way it should, and I mean everything! Every single light bulb lights up
and every switch functions properly. I have been driving this vehicle
on and off and its a really nice driving vehicle. I put about 200 miles on it and it runs 100% and gets about 20MPG! It turns heads where
ever it goes and people are always asking me about it. This vehicle
cost $150,000 when it was new!
All the detailing on the car was done and its ready for its new owner.
Nothing has to be done to this car! You can jump in this car and drive without any problems. The car has 130k
on it, so it has been used, but it has been cared for all these years. This
car was maintained top notch and has always had its maintanence done. This vehicle spent most of its life in out-of-state, so it was never
subjected to a cold or wet climate. So, you know this car was maintaned
the way it should and no expense was spared. This car just had it oil
and tranny fluid serviced, has tires with a nice amount of tread left, good brakes, new battery, good rotors, and good wiper blades. Its ready for its new owner.
This Rolls-Royce is loaded up with all the options you could possibly want.
It has power windows, power locks, cruise control, chrome wheel covers, power
mirrors, ice cold AC, original radio that works, power
seats with mutil position settings, full leather interior with solid wood
trimmings, power steering, electronic automatic transmission
lever, power boot and gas tank release (works great), and too much more to list.
The car comes with 2 original Rolls-Royce keys (yale). This vehicle also has all the original floor carpeting as well as the drivers side Rolls-Royce winter mat, rear foot
reats, both bottles of mineral brake fluid, original full size spare tire and the complete un-used tool kit with the tool box as well.
This vehicle is ready for the weekend cruising, just jump in and drive. The
exterior of the car looks very well. There is no
scratches, dents, or any other damage to talk about. Its super super
clean. The paint shines like glass, you can see your face in it. All
the rubber and moldings are in nice shape with no dry rot on them. All
the chrome trims are in perfect shape as well. The interior of the
car is also in very nice shape. There is some age here and there but nothing crazy. The seats show some age but there in no rips or tears in the leather. The door panels are in great condition with no major signs of wear. The wood trim on the dash has some age but also shows very well. The interior is in very good condition for its age, but do expect there to be some wear here and there. But overall its very nice and very presentable. Mechanically, the vehicle starts right up and runs well. The motor is powerful and the transmision shifts the way it should. I do not see any problems with this vehicle mechanically. All the electronics in the vehicle are working the way they are supposed to. I have posted a video of this car that is over 10 minutes long. In this video I show the vehicle running and driving. I also show all the electronics working. So please watch the video and look at all the pictures so you can see what a great vehicle this really is. Before this vehicle was "flooded"
it had a clean carfax with no accident history. I dont believe this
vehicle was ever in any accidents. This vehicle only had TWO owners since new. This car is being sold as-is, where-is, and there is no warranties
expressed or implied. This vehicle has a salvage flood title. If you
would like to see the car and test drive it, you are more than welcome
to do so. Also, feel free to ask me about the
buy-it-now price. If you are located outside my
local area, I will assist in any way possible in having the car shipped
to you at your cost. A $500 non-refundable deposit must be made within
24 hours on the auctions end. The remaining balance must be paid in
full by 3 days after the closing of the auction unless other
arrangements are discussed with me in advance. With that being said,
feel free to email, call, or text me at anytime if you have any
questions or concerns. My name is Matt and my number is 646-243-9866.
Thanks and good luck bidding!

Time to catch up with Jay Leno's Garage, including his Lamborghini Espada restoration
Tue, Dec 23 2014If you're already jealous of the time, effort and money that Jay Leno can devote to his massive car collection, prepare to get a little greener with envy with this latest video from Jay Leno's Garage. Instead of the usual format of discussing a model for about ten minutes and then taking it out for a test drive, this week Leno gives viewers on a tour of over a dozen projects concurrently happening in his stable. The breadth of the vehicles shown and the things being done to them run the entire span of the automotive hobby. At the same time, Jay's shop is working on just a simple restoration of his 1969 Lamborghini Espada (pictured), and at the other side of the building, the team is rebuilding a wood-bodied 1914 Detroit Electric from scratch. He eventually plans to slot a more modern electric drivetrain into it. If bikes are more your interest, there's a freshly completed Brough Superior just waiting for a ride, and if American models are your thing, a Ford Bronco is getting a Coyote V8 installed into it. You have some very specific tastes if you can't watch this clip and start wishing at least one of these vehicles could be in your own garage. Other than the personal projects his mechanics are working on in the shop, Jay gets to have them all, plus plenty more.
2021 Rolls-Royce Ghost makes its debut with fresh styling and a real Rolls platform
Tue, Sep 1 2020After just over 10 years, the Rolls-Royce Ghost is getting its second generation. This is an important moment, since the Ghost has been the luxury brand's bestseller. The result is a car that has changed significantly underneath to refine the things owners will see and experience. The exterior styling doesn't look drastically different at first, but looking closer reveals many significant changes. The trademark Rolls-Royce grille is wider and taller, and doesn't have a thick arcing border around it. The headlights are larger with sharper corners and angled slightly to sweep up towards the corners of the fascia. Moving along the sides show a similar profile to the old car, but the tail's trunk lid leans forward, as do the taillights. There's not a distinct ledge to the rear bumper, either, giving this new Ghost a sportier appearance. An extra bit of flair Rolls-Royce added is the illuminated grille. There are 20 LED lights in the top part that shine down onto the grille slats, which in turn reflect light outward. Under this new skin is a chassis that's exclusive to Rolls-Royce, unlike the old Ghost's BMW 7 Series-derived chassis. This new frame uses the flexible all-aluminum platform that underpins the new Phantom and the Cullinan. The car is also larger than its predecessor with 3.5 more inches of length and 1.2 inches of width. It all sits on independent air suspension at all four corners featuring some upper wishbone dampers at the front that Rolls-Royce says helps improve ride quality, though hasn't revealed detailed information on how it does so. It's supported by software that coordinates the reactions dictated by the suspension sensors, drive settings, all-wheel drive, four-wheel-steering (both new features for the Ghost), and even the navigation-controlled transmission to optimize driving performance and comfort. Powering the Ghost is Rolls-Royce's twin-turbocharged 6.75-liter V12. It makes 563 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque. Obviously only an automatic transmission is available, and power goes to all four wheels as previously mentioned. The Ghost's interior takes cues from the Phantom, with a full-width section encompassing the instruments, infotainment and an artistic dash panel, which we'll talk more about in a moment. Below that is a wood-finished panel incorporating some air vents and controls. Open-pore woods are available, including one that features aluminum in the wood grain.
Next-gen Rolls-Royce Ghost spied with new interior design
Mon, Jun 10 2019The Rolls-Royce Ghost is going to be entering a new generation soon, and things are remaining largely the same. You'll be hard pressed to notice any significant, new design details through the camouflage on the exterior, but Rolls is coming in hot with new interior bits. Technology from the Cullinan and Phantom appears to be on the table, as Rolls-Royce adapts to the modern world. We can see the digital dials in the instrument cluster that aren't lit up in this photo, in addition to the large infotainment display alongside. Comparing this setup to a Cullinan, it appears to be largely the same. And even though Rolls has covered much of the fancy trim on the center console, it's left some of the parts uncovered. The placement of the vents and other parts seen here echo the design of both the Cullinan and Phantom. The new Rolls Royces have succeeded in adding great tech while also retaining that old world feel about them. It's no surprise to see the same thing happening with the Ghost. We expect this newest Rolls to be riding on a version of the "Architecture of Luxury" modular platform underpinning the new Phantom and Cullinan. Normally, automakers would want to switch up the exterior styling with the move to a new platform, but there's no reason for Rolls to ruin what's working here. We can clearly see a lack of change on the outside from these spy photos. New LED headlight tech will surely be on the ticket, but the rest of the car will retain classic Ghost styling. It's hard to find any problem with that logic, as the design is instantly recognizable, even under heavy camouflage wrappings. Nobody will mistake this for anything other than a Rolls-Royce, and that means the design team is doing something right. This big car will undoubtedly take on the updated 6.75-liter twin-turbo V12 we saw in the Phantom — it makes 563 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque in that application. Just as we mentioned in the first spy shots we saw of the Ghost, there are rumors this car could get four-wheel steering. Electrification rumors continue to swirl, as well, pointing at a possible 48-volt system in this car and even more electrified powertrains down the road for Rolls-Royce.
