Are you looking to always get the first parking spot out front of the hotel or restaurant? I am selling MY 1985 Rolls Royce Silver Spur. This is a low mileage car, that I have personally owned and driven for the last year(clear title, registration, and insurance in MY name). I purchased it with approx. 38,000 miles and have brought it back to life after a few years of being stored. In the last year it has had a new EGR valve, 4 new tires, new rear suspension spheres (gas springs), and a new fuel pressure accumulator, fluid changes and ONLY OEM parts used, right down to the proper Rolls Royce oil filter. I bought this car because I'm a huge British car fan (obvious from pics) I've always wanted a Rolls, but now I'm moving out of state and can't bring all my cars with me (going to the Midwest and fancy "foreign" cars aren't really appreciated as much). Car starts, stops, and runs PERFECTLY, I would jump in it right now and drive across the country in style, and if it doesn't meet reserve that's exactly what I'm going to do. I have room in my place to store it, just didn't want to ship so many cars.
If you know anything about older British cars, then all I have say is that the paint is "checked"......that means it is "cracking". Hate to say it, but all these older cars with multiple coats of lacquer paint tend to do this. So, that said, the car looks great on the road, very shiny and gets looks and thumbs up everywhere it goes, but it honestly needs to be repainted to be a show car. This car was ordered with a custom color (Tudor Red), which was not considered standard for the saloon cars, but available on the Corniche Convertible. The interior is tan with red piping and in good shape. The leather has been treated and looks good, but again NOT show quality. this is a nearly 30yo car after all. The Vinyl top also needs to be redone or just removed as it has dried out from the hot desert climate where this car spent most of its life (Palm Springs area) and has just started to separate at the seams. I had a quote of $600 to redo it.
This car also has a lockable center console in the rear seat that is legal to store firearms. Just a little something special if that's your kind of thing.
This car was purchased at Rusnik Rolls Royce in southern California, still a operating RR dealer. the window sticker states that the car was first sold for $109,000.00.....It's gong to sell for a fraction of that now :-) All the original books, warranty cards, key code, etc. are pictured and included.
The front end of this car is either the updated or UK version with the larger one-piece headlights, and it also has the 3rd brake light. The car was this way when I bought it, so I can't say if this was factory or done later, but it is nice looking. The power windows all work, but the rears are slow (from lack of use). the factory radio (anther GM part) works, but its an outdated POS by todays standards. I would replace it AND all the speakers if you want good music, and that would be the perfect time to lube the inner window channels to get the back windows going quicker. The windshield wipers do NOT work, don't know why, haven't bothered to care to look into it....I'm going with the story that its never been driven in the rain, which is VERY possible.
If you are local and would like to come look at this car, please just send me a note and depending on where you are I may drive it out to you, or invite you over. I have a Brand New (never titled) Triumph TR7 that will be getting listed soon also, but my xj12 Jag is going back to the Midwest (once you go V12, you never go back)
If you haven't figured it out yet, I prefer to describe my cars honestly and NOT have anyone surprised with what they have bought. I would NOT call this a project car, because you could jump in it right now and drive it across country if you wanted, it runs perfectly. But it is NOT a perfect car. Things that still need to be looked at and perhaps updated.....The A/C doesn't work....I would expect to have to replace the Compressor, but don't panic, its NOT a special Rolls Royce part, it's straight off the shelf GM/Cadillac and you can get them for $200. The front suspension has a minor "clunk" going over speed bumps, and has a pull to the right. Could be an adjustment, but given the age of the car I would probably just rebuild the front end (again parts really aren't expensive and are readily available), but the ride is....well it's a Rolls, leave it at that :-)
Bidders with less than 10 feedback MUST contact me first and provide your phone number and e-mail or I will cancel your bid. Sorry, but just too many scammers on eBay lately. Payment MUST be made in full, before car leaves, I will accept cash, check, cashiers check, paypal, etc.. all forms of checks MUST clear first, that INCLUDES cashiers checks as my bank (US Bank) puts a 2-week hold on them :-( Shipping will be at the cost of buyer, I will help load on this end, but buyer makes all arrangements.

Rolls-Royce spotted testing even sportier Wraith
Mon, 10 Nov 2014A Rolls-Royce is not what you'd typically consider to be "sporty." Luxurious. Stately. Even powerful, packed as they are with twelve-cylinder engines displacing in excess of six and a half liters. The Wraith set out to change that with a sportier package, more rakish profile and an even more potent version of the Ghost's 6.6-liter twin-turbo V12 to make it the fastest and most powerful Rolls-Royce ever made. But now it seems Goodwood is working on an even more aggressive version.
Spotted undergoing testing in parent company BMW's home country of Germany, this particular Wraith might strike you as the same one we've already seen, save for a few telltale details. It may be wearing the same rolling stock as the existing model, with what look like the same tailpipes protruding ever so elegantly around back, but at the bottom of the front bumper and atop the rear trunklid you'll notice more assertive spoilers added on.
To what end, we cannot be certain, but our spotters on the ground seem to think this is a prototype for a more extreme version of the Wraith - possibly inspired by the attention garnered by the Bentley Continental GT3-R. Could we be looking at a Wraith V-Specification like we saw with the Ghost? We'll have to wait to find out for sure, but in the meantime you can scope out the virtually undisguised prototype in the gallery of high-resolution spy shots above.
Rolls-Royce gets Inspired by Film with latest Wraith special [w/video]
Wed, Apr 1 2015"You like me, you really like me!" If Rolls-Royce could tune its exhaust note to speak those words, (in Sally Field's voice, no less) we get the feeling it would. But since it can't it has done what it does best: launch a special edition. In this case, it's called the "Inspired by Film" edition, and it's based on the Wraith. Its creation was inspired by And the World Stood Still, a rather dramatic promotional video that accompanied the Wraith's launch two years ago. The film, which you can view below if you missed it the first time around, involved 100 DSLR cameras, 36 computers and nearly a mile of cabling, orchestrated in Barcelona to capture the spirit of the Rolls-Royce fastback. It was decorated with a Gold Award by the International Visual Communications Association and was recently admitted to the National Archive of the British Film Institute. So to mark the occasion, Rolls is rolling in to the New York Auto Show with this special edition. Taking the Silver Screen theme quite literally, it's decked out with two-tone silver paint, a solid silver Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament and grey leather with ebony and aluminum trim. The special edition will be available to order right after its debut in Manhattan, and of course comes with the 6.6-liter twin-turbo V12 churning out 624 horsepower to make the Wraith the fastest, most powerful production model in the company's history. ROLLS-ROYCE WRAITH 'INSPIRED BY FILM' DEBUTS AS LAUNCH FILM IS ACCEPTED INTO BFI NATIONAL ARCHIVE 31 March 2015, Goodwood The groundbreaking Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Wraith launch film, 'And the World Stood Still', has been accepted into the BFI (British Film Institute) National Archive, the world's most significant collection of film and TV. To celebrate the event, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has created Wraith 'Inspired by Film', which will debut at the 2015 New York Auto Show tomorrow, 1 April 2015. The film, which won a Gold Award at the 26th International Visual Communications Association (IVCA) Awards, caught the attention of the BFI's Senior Curator for Non-Fiction Films, Patrick Russell, who considered it a striking piece of contemporary cinematography and so decided to accept it into the archive. "We are delighted to see Rolls-Royce's Wraith launch film enter the BFI's collection," commented Russell.
Rolls-Royce bringing art deco-inspired cars to Paris, celebrates with posters
Thu, 20 Sep 2012Rolls-Royce announced that it will be bringing some "art-deco inspired" cars to the 2012 Paris Motor Show, and while we really have no clue what that means just yet, we're sure the cars are going to be very expensive.
The images show what appears to be a stylized Rolls-Royce Phantom or Ghost in an artistic rendering that would look at home in South Beach. Like the cars, Rolls-Royce is going all out with the launch of these special cars with an invitation-only introduction including a champagne reception.
We only have to wait until next week to see what features and styling changes Rolls-Royce has in store for these new bespoke models, but for now, enjoy this trio of art deco goodness and check out the press release below.
