1975 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow
(Long Wheel Base)

Conveniently located in Chicago's WEST Suburbs !!!

NO RESERVE !!!

Happy New Years !!! I will be liquidating several classic Rolls Royce & Bentleys over the next few weeks, I've decided it's more logical to have a nice late model car (Rolls/Bentley), then a dozen classics. Although I will ALWAYS admire the classic styles and elegance these cars offer, I'd like to get a newer Bentley Arnage or Flying Spur. Dealers are encouraged to contact me.

I've had the car in my collection for almost a year. I liked the color, condition, & miles. I purchased the car sight unseen and was pleasantly surprised with my purchase. It's my understanding that the car started its life in Southern Texas and remained there for many years. In the mid 80's it changed hands to a wealthy business man in St. Louis, MO. I purchased it from a high profile watch maker/jeweler from Southern Illinois, who had it in his private collection for many years. I'm very fond of this terrific car and I'm sure you will be too !!!

Specifications:

Chassis #: LRD21783

Body: Caribbean Blue (one of the nicest colors offered), free of any major damage or scratches. There are a few blemishes in the paint, but you really have to look for them. I suspect the car has been repainted, but must have been a while ago. However the car shows very well and still has a great look to it. I would NOT repaint it by any means!

Interior: Navy Blue. Still has a nice color to it and minimal wear. Still has a distinct rich smell of high quality leather. The wood is very nice too, drivers door has a few minor cracks. Carpet & headliner in above average condition. The ever flex top will require replacement.

Technical: Starts up every time. Runs strong & quite. 61,000 miles showing and due to the nature and unmolested condition of the car it's believed to be accurate. Cold A/C & good heat. Power windows and door locks working correctly. It even has a working 8-track (musical storage units used prior iPod)... I've had a new battery installed and most recently a water pump (old ones bearing was making a rude noise). I would suggest the investment of new tires before any touring. This is a car you can drive. It's not a show car, but a clean "daily driver" and as I said before I'm letting go of almost a dozen Rolls/Bentleys to help acquire a late model Bentley. This Rolls Royce (LRD21783) is sold "as is", thanks!

No reserve !!! This car will sell to the highest bidder !!!

Thanks,
Jason (847)826-2584

Please ask for detailed pictures of areas or even better, come see it.

I reserve the right to end this auction early. I have advertised the car elsewhere. I will sell and resist another immediately.

Rolls-Royce Wraith Black Arrow marks end of V12 coupe era

Mon, Mar 20 2023

Rolls-Royce is offering luxury car fans one last taste of the velvet hammer. In marking the end of the line for the Wraith coupe and its sumptuous V-12 engine, Rolls Royce announced an extremely limited model: the Black Badge Wraith Black Arrow edition. In keeping with it being the last V-12 coupe, Rolls-Royce is only making 12 of the cars — which are already subscribed to clients in other parts of the world, since Rolls delivered its last North American Wraith a little over a year ago. “As the last examples of this landmark motor car get ready to leave Goodwood, we commemorate WraithÂ’s status as the last series V12 coupe we will ever make,” Rolls-Royce Motor Cars CEO Torsten Muller-Otvos said in a statement. “This magnificent final V12 coupe Collection captures both the significance and spirit of Wraith through the marqueÂ’s hallmark and peerless Bespoke capabilities.” The Wraith debuted back in 2013 and was a big hit for Rolls-Royce fans looking for a modern interpretation of a Rolls-Royce coupe. The British automaker says it brought in a new, younger generation of buyers for the brand - with the coupe featured in popular movies and music. This content is hosted by a third party. In keep with RollsÂ’ bespoke capabilities as Muller-Otvos mentioned, the Black Arrow edition will use special open-pore Black Wood veneer for its internal panels, including a rear “waterfall” panel that separates the rear seats. The seats, door details, and lower dashboard panel will be lined with special new “club leather” materials, that feature enhanced color contrast and more natural leather markings. Rolls says this is to give drivers a more “club-armchair type of driving seat.” Of course the most important feature of this special edition is its V-12 engine. Here the 12-cylinder thatÂ’s so smooth one can barely hear it displaces 6.6 liters and outputs 624 horsepower and 605 lb-ft of torque. Yahoo Finance reviewed the standard Dawn Black Badge (the WraithÂ’s convertible sibling) and it was a smooth, powerful, and rather unique driving experience. Now this amount of luxury and exclusivity does not come cheap. While pricing was not released for this special edition Black Arrow, the standard Wraith coupe starts around $350,000.

Rolls-Royce commemorates end of Phantom with Zenith models

Tue, Feb 23 2016

Rolls-Royce will discontinue the current generation Phantom in 2016 after 13 years. Rolls will also axe the Phantom Coupe and Drophead Coupe in November, and the company won't build new versions of them on its future platform. However, the automaker will send off the pair in style with special edition models. The Phantom sedan will eventually return on Rolls' future aluminum platform, which will underpin all of the company's models. Spy shots suggest minor design tweaks for the new generation Phantom, but there's no mistaking the massive vehicle's chiseled shape. The overall size should remain similar to the current one, but the lightweight metal and carbon fiber should dramatically reduce the weight. Rumors suggest it would still use a V12 for propulsion, and there could be a plug-in hybrid variant later. "I am proud and excited to announce that a new Phantom is on the way – a contemporary and beautiful Phantom enhanced with cutting-edge technologies and design innovations." Rolls CEO Torsten Muller-Otvos said. Rolls will also build 50 Zenith versions of the Drophead and Coupe to give the pair a proper farewell from the lineup. These special vehicles will include a Tailgate Hosting Area to party with class, laser-etched armrests that show the launch sites for the 100EX and 101EX concepts, custom instrument dials, a special version of the Spirit of Ecstasy, and more. "Zenith will be the sum of all the best features of Phantom Coupe and Drophead Coupe, with a few surprises added," Giles Taylor, the company's director of design, said. Related Video: ROLLS-ROYCE MOTOR CARS BRINGS SEVENTH GENERATION OF PHANTOM TO AN END Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Chief Executive Officer, Torsten Mueller-Oetvoes, has announced that the current Phantom will enter the last stages of its celebrated life in 2016. This announcement follows the recent news that Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has begun testing its all-new aluminium architecture, which will underpin every future Rolls-Royce arriving in-market from early 2018. He also announced that Phantom Coupe and Drophead Coupe models will not be renewed in the future. These two magnificent Phantom models will end their lives with a special collection of only 50 highly desirable cars to be called Phantom Zenith. The current seventh generation of Phantom started production in Goodwood over 13 years ago and quickly became the foundation upon which the renaissance of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars was built.

Corniche Comeback: New Rolls-Royce coupe spotted testing

Wed, 25 Jul 2012

It's been over a decade since Rolls-Royce last offered a Corniche, which was the company's name for its unibody coupe and convertible models since the early 1970s. But from the looks of what our photographers recently snapped in Munich, that drought may soon be over.
What they've spied is the 2014 Rolls-Royce Corniche coupe, a forthcoming model based on the Rolls-Royce Ghost. Never mind the fake door handles and rear doors on the test mules, the production Corniche will have just two suicide doors like its big brother the Phantom coupe.
Powertrain will probably be carried over from the Ghost sedan, meaning a 6.6-liter V12. We suspect that BMW will roll out its new Roller at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2013. Until then, our spies will keep their eyes open for more prototypes, including the oft-rumored convertible.
