1971 ROLLS ROYCE SILVER SHADOW... Only 46,256 Original Miles, Great for Restore
You are looking at a real classic. Rolls Royce has always been known for luxury. Back in 1971 this beautiful classic was the top of technology, nothing could compete with what Rolls Royce had. Even today this awesome ride still turns heads.

For the past 20 + years this 1971 Rolls Royce has been sitting parked in some mans garage. I was lucky enough to find it just in time. The last owner clams to be the second owner. He intended to one day fix her up to showroom condition but due to age he was not able to make his dream a reality. I purchased this fine ride a few months ago for my wedding rental business. I have decided from what the Rolls Royce mechanic told me (see below) to purchase a Silver Cloud.

About two weeks ago I took to a Rolls Royce mechanic to assess the problems and quote me on what it will take to get her in pristine shape. She does run however she will need a new battery soon, the brakes are weak and will need to be tuned up, the engine is great but will need a tune up as well and a new engine mount (the original mount is broken). I did not have him fix anything, just had him tell me what was the problem an to give me an estaminet. The seats will need to be recovered, a new paint job will need to be done and some other things will need attending to. The total estimated cost to get her in great showroom shape is $9,000 - $11,000. Once this is done she would be worth between 35 and $40,000 +. Like I said this is restoring her to pristine shape.

If you did not care about the overall condition as pictured you could spend $1,000 - $2,000 fixing the engine and brakes to make a great daily or sunday driver.

I would like to note there is some pictures I provided of the front hood where bondo was applied quite some time ago, the car was not wrecked however the professionals say it was to cover some minor rust that was starting to show. There are some cracks in the paint as pictured. This I have seen on hundreds of Silver Shadows, must be from the thick coat of paint applied when hand built in the 70s.

Included in this auction are 5 manuals that go over every part of the car so anyone can fix anything that needs it. Value on the manuals, $500.00.

Please note there is some spots of rust, major spots are pictured. This Rolls Royce has a solid metal body and can be sanded down when restored so this baby will shine once again.

This is NOT a vinyl top but a metal top, way better in my opinion.

Wheels and tires are in great shape, rims are beautiful and will not need restoring.

I have tried my best to describe this classic in every way however the pictures tell the real story so please take a look at all 50 pictures I have provided for you.

Thanks for looking, GOOD LUCK and please let me know with any questions.

Rolls-Royce bestows Canton Glory Ghost upon Guangzhou

Sun, 15 Dec 2013

Wonder why Rolls-Royce makes so many special editions for the Chinese market? Probably because China is fast becoming its largest market, with the dealerships in Beijing and Shanghai regularly proving able to move more high-end metal than any other Rolls dealer in the world. Little wonder then that, less than two months after releasing the Golden Sunbird edition, Rolls-Royce Bespoke is back again with another special Ghost just for China.
This time it's called the Canton Glory edition. It was introduced recently at Auto Guangzhou, and pays tribute to the Canton Tower in the same city. Two examples were made with a two-tone color scheme contrasting burgundy with either a blueish silver or white. Other features include Guangzhou's Five Rams emblem in the coachline, veneer panels, headrests and dashboard.
We don't doubt Rolls will find (or probably already has found) a pair of Chinese industrialists to gladly take these special editions home. But for those looking for their own unique touches, the British automaker has also brought its Bespoke Atelier to China for the first time, outlining the range of possibilities open to their moneyed customers.

Rolls-Royce Wraith officially revealed in profile

Tue, 22 Jan 2013

Well here's a nice twofer. On the same day Rolls-Royce releases its first official teaser image showing the 2014 Wraith, we also get a look at the car undergoing some cold-weather testing courtesy of some new spy shots. As the coupe version of the Ghost, the 2014 Rolls-Royce Wraith will make its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March, and it's expected to go on sale during the fourth quarter of this year.
Rolls-Royce already confirmed plenty of information in a teaser it released last week, but the latest image shows us a clear shot of what the car's midsection will look like. Comparing this image and the spy shots, we can see that the Wraith will have a pretty sleek - (almost Bentley Continental GT-like) roofline, and, like the Phantom Coupe, it will have rear-hinged doors. We can also tell from the spy shots that it seems to be keeping the same face as the Ghost and taillights, too.
Be sure to check out the latest spy photos for the Wraith as well as a brief press release from Rolls-Royce by scrolling below.
