1967 Rolls Royce
Silver Shadow

** NO RESERVE **

Description: This LHD car is silver in color with a burgundy interior, it is completely original as far as I can tell including the radio. At some point in the past it has been repainted and wood has been refinished. It carries a British Columbia title, the title is clear and normal status. The car is tilted as a 1968 however by the VIN and dash style it is a 1967. I believe that this is because it was not sold new until 1968.

Reason for selling: I currently have several Rolls Royce cars and find that because I only use them in the summer that the convertible is the only one that gets driven, as a result I will be selling at least three of the others perhaps four.

Mechanical: The car drives well, it starts and steers as it should, there is no indication of excessive oil use and the transmission shifts properly. I find that the brakes are sticky if its sits for a long time and but after 10-15 minutes of driving it seems to clear up. The tires are good, I have not tried the air conditioning but the belt is still in place. I'm not saying the car is perfect but for a 1967 Shadow its very nice.

Body: The body is in good condition with no sign of rust except for a small spot under the rear bumper where the exhaust port is, the chrome is complete and in good condition, the floors and trunk appear to be very good as do the rockers and wheel openings. The paint was redone many years ago with quality workmanship and although from a short distance the paint appears to be perfect there some scratches and door dings, I do not believe it needs to be redone at this point.

Interior: The interior is in nice condition, the leather is good with the expected patina, the wool headliner is also good and the wood was restored some time ago and is still nice with some wear on the drivers cap, the dash pad is good the front carpet should be replaced. The door panels are original without aftermarket changes.

Overall: The early Shadows are in my opinion the most refined, before Rolls Royce loaded them up with emblems, marker lamps and impact bumpers. This is an unrestored example that has been well cared for, not perfect but very nice, so if your looking for a Rolls Royce that won't cost more than your house then this may be the car for you. I have not had to do any repairs to the car since I bought it two years ago, its a pleasure to drive and and an investment you will be proud to own and display. All older cars need some attention, this car is no exception but it is far above average and is very presentable and enjoyable. I'm offering the car unreserved because I'm serious about selling it and if I put a reserve on it at what I feel it is worth or what I paid for it, it may not sell.

Location: The car is located just outside of Salmon Arm, British Columbia, about 3 hours from the US border. If you are a buyer from outside of Canada I will help with importation as I am familiar with US and overseas procedure for importation. I can in many cases help arrange a shipper, but this is time consuming so I will only try to get a quote for the winning bidder.

Payment: Cash in person or bank to bank wire transfer is acceptable. Payment must be received within 7 days of the close of the auction NO EXCEPTIONS. I can store the car at no charge for several months if needed.

Scammers: I've heard it all don't waste my time or yours.

If you have less than 10 feedback please contact me after you bid so I can confirm that you are in fact a serious buyer

Even in a down economy, Rolls-Royce is on a roll

Limited Volume, Big Margins Spell Success
Bigger isn't always better, especially when it comes to selling super luxury. Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös expects the British automaker to again post a record year, despite the economic troubles in Europe and weak growth in both the US and China.
"It is not all doom and gloom out there," Müller-Ötvös explains, noting that the declining sales in Europe and elsewhere have been offset by good performance for the marque in the Middle East, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and Russia.

'Top Gear' episode 4 recap | A road trip through Borneo

Mon, Aug 5 2019

Episode four of "Top Gear" season 27 is officially in the books, and if you like Freddie and Paddy, you probably enjoyed this one. The two went on a hell of an adventure through Borneo, but didn’t bring Chris Harris along for the ride. Maybe we were just getting accustomed to the three of them hanging out together, but the trip felt like it was missing something without Chris. Regardless, the feature film of this episode revolved around Freddie and Paddy driving the cheapest, rarest cars they could find. They bought them in Europe, then drove all throughout the island of Borneo, eventually reaching Brunei. Freddie got himself an Austin Allegro Estate, while Paddy made do with a Matra Bagheera S. If you had to look those cars up, we donÂ’t blame you. TheyÂ’re both rather obscure models, so itÂ’s safe to say they hit their mark on the rare requirement. Back at home base in England, Chris says he was reviewing a Rolls-Royce Cullinan. Funnily enough, Rolls wouldnÂ’t loan a Cullinan to "Top Gear" to test, so they had to go out and borrow one for the review. After listening to ChrisÂ’ thoughts on the SUV, it starts to become clear why Rolls may not have wanted the exposure. We wonÂ’t give it all away, but letÂ’s just say that the ultra-luxury ute didnÂ’t receive the most glowing of reviews. Bob Mortimer was the celebrity guest, so there were plenty of laughs to be had in his segment. He wasnÂ’t exactly fast in any of the car challenges, but the entertainment factor was certainly present with him cracking jokes. Even though the Borneo trip wasnÂ’t exactly the same without Chris, the other two managed quite well on their own. Freddie ate a live bug, and the mid-engine Matra made it to the end against all odds. Perhaps itÂ’s a testament to the companyÂ’s history of weathering tough conditions — Matra did win Le Mans three times throughout its history after all. At the very end of the episode, the boys made an admirable gesture by speaking out against the Sultan of BruneiÂ’s horrific laws against homosexual relations. They said that the filming for the episode occurred before the Sultan announced the new laws, and if "Top Gear" had known these rules would be enacted beforehand, they wouldnÂ’t have featured Borneo in their film. In response, Freddie and Paddy modified their Borneo rides with an epic paint job as a form of protesting the anti-gay laws. Good on ya, "Top Gear." Rolls-Royce Cullinan SUV reveals its rear to the cameras

Fri, Dec 9 2016

Last week, Rolls-Royce released some official photos of its upcoming SUV, code-named Project Cullinan. The SUV was still wearing full camouflage, and we could only see the front half, but it was our first peak at the new vehicle. Now, thanks to one of our spy photographers, we can see the rest. Immediately noticeable are the rear-hinged, suicide-style rear doors. There appears to be a dummy handle at the trailing edge of the door, but there's no hiding the real thing, which match up nicely with the front handles. Also evident is the plain and simple roof line. No flashy curves here, just simple lines and angles. In fact, the profile of the rear hatch is a bit reminiscent of the Land Rover Range Rover. The hatch drops down to a low-profile rear bumper that features squared-off cutouts for the exhaust. There are couple more details we spot in these photos as well. The unmistakable Rolls-Royce grille looks a bit more rounded than what we saw in the official photos. The result is a more familial look to the Ghost-based Rolls-Royce models. Also noticeable is the strong shoulder line found on every Rolls that runs just below the windows from the headlights to the tail. We can't quite see the tail end of the feature line because of some false body work, but it certainly appears to run the length of the car. See for yourself in the gallery above. Related Video:
