2012 Ram 2500 Sltcrew Cab Rebuilt Salvage Title Theft Recovered Damage Salvage on 2040-cars
Henrietta, North Carolina, United States
Up for sale is a very nice 2012 2500 HD Ram/Dodge Crew Cab 4 Door Pickup with custom tires and wheels . This truck will come with a salvage title due to theft recovery, but has no real damage on the truck. If the Insurance company pays off on the vehicle, no matter how light the damage, it will be issued a Salvage/Rebuilt/Total Loss Title. The only damage that I have found on the truck is the Nerf Bar on the passenger side being bent a little, but not bad enough to replace, it can be pulled and straightened, the only other damage is on the front bumper down low it has 2 small dings/dents, they also can be repaired with very little effort. The truck runs 100% and drives straight. The truck has 35" tires with very nice 20" Moto Metal black rims and look like new with plenty of tread left on them, this truck has the mean truck look while still driving very nice. I have had the truck checked out by a professional mechanic, it is ready to go anywhere you want to take it. The truck has been taken care of by the previous owner, or whomever stole the truck, it is a very clean truck and when you drive up in the truck people take notice. The outside of the truck is clean and free from dents and dings the paint looks great and shines like it should, the interior is clean and looks great no rips or tears in the cloth interior. The transmission and 4x4 shaft as they should with zero issues. This truck will make someone a very nice truck. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding...

Ram confirms Fiat Ducato vans to form new Promaster series for US
Wed, 28 Nov 2012Chrysler has officially confirmed that Ram will develop an all-new large van for the US market based on the Fiat Ducato. The commercial rig will go on sale in the third quarter of next year, joining the Ram C/V on the company's professional van line. Expect to see the Promaster face off against the Ford Transit and revised Chevrolet Express.
Chrysler is pretty skimpy on details when it comes to the Promaster, but it has said the vehicle will make use of "familiar Ram Truck styling cues." The van will reportedly also bow with powertrains targeted specifically at the North American market.
Chrysler and Ram made the announcement ahead of the LA Auto Show alongside news that the company will launch a new Ram commercial truck division.
How the Ram Multifunction Tailgate compares to Ford, GMC, Honda
Wed, Feb 6 2019Ram just announced its Multifunction Tailgate — a descriptive if not very creative name. It's an asymmetrical barn-door arrangement, which can both fold down like a conventional tailgate or swing open like a gate. There's a new bed step, but unlike Ford or GM, the step isn't part of the tailgate itself. Rather, it kicks out from under the bumper (as opposed to out from under the driver's side of the rear bumper in its previous incarnation). So let's just focus on the tailgate functionality. A video of the Ram Multifunction Tailgate in action is above. For one, either of the swinging tailgate sections can be opened independently. They open to a full 88 degrees. In conventional flip-down mode, the tailgate works just like a normal one, too, with a 2,000-pound rating. The bottom line is that while it gives a variety of types of access to the load area, it doesn't "do" anything else. It's a $995 option on any Ram 1500. Its closest analogue is the Honda Ridgeline, which works basically the same way, but on that truck the tailgate swings as one piece. And the Honda's load rating isn't as hefty as the Ram's tailgate: 300 pounds. As Honda says, that's sufficient to hold the weight of the part of an ATV hanging out of the bed, or something similar, but it's a lighter-duty unit (and a lighter-duty truck) than the Ram's overall. Let's also get Ford's one-trick tailgate out of the way before comparing to the more analogous, and complicated, GM MultiPro. A bit of trivia: Ford's optional Tailgate Step is actually designed and supplied by Multimatic, better known as the outfit that builds the Ford GT and produces the DSSV spool-valve shocks. This step has been available for years. It pulls out of the top edge of the tailgate when the tailgate is lowered, deploying a single step. A separate handle pulls out from beside the step and flips up, giving a handhold. While it was initially (and infamously) mocked by competitors, with load floor heights as high as they are it's better than toting around a stepstool. It's currently a $375 standalone option. Now we get to the GMC MultiPro tailgate, the most complicated and multi-functioned around. It's essentially a tailgate within a tailgate, with a fold-out stopper that deploys from the inner tailgate. This gives it several functions depending on the position of all the parts. It can still be used like a normal tailgate, dropping down at the push of a button or using the key fob.
2013 Ram HD and Chassis Cab pickups are ready for work [UPDATE]
Thu, 27 Sep 2012Auto enthusiasts often point to the pony car wars as the last bastion of one-upsmanship among Detroit's automakers, but the truth is, the pickup wars are every bit as competitive - if not more so. Auburn Hills keeps a ready eye on what their rivals in Dearborn and Detroit are doing, and vice-versa. Today, that battle is renewed with the introduction of Ram's 2013 Heavy Duty and Chassis Cab lines at the State Fair of Texas. Why a state fair? The Banner State is the perfect battleground for pickup supremacy, as Texas accounts for one of every five pickups sold in the U.S.
Towing and hauling metrics are poised for a substantial improvement. "... and not just by a little bit."
On the HD front, Chrysler is boasting that its brand-new heavies will bring best-in-class towing, torque, payload and Gross Combined Weight Rating, but thus far, it's declining to cite what those figures are. For the moment, though, Fred Diaz, President and CEO of Ram told us at an Auburn Hills background event earlier this month that key towing and hauling metrics are poised for a substantial improvement. "And not just by a little bit. I think we're going to shock the world," said Diaz.
