2012 Ram 1500 Laramie Crew Cab 4x4 Pickup 4-door 5.7l on 2040-cars
Mount Vernon, Washington, United States
Up for auction is my cherished 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 Crew Cab Laramie with the powerful 5.7L Hemi. This is a rare optioned Laramie because it has a center armrest in the front which can be flipped up and allows seating for 6. Most of the Laramie’s have a fixed center console that limits the seating capacity to 5. The original window sticker on this truck is over $49K. Original sticker, all documentation and two key/remtes are included in the sale. I am the original owner of this vehicle which has never been in any type of accident. Vehicle is in excellent condition with a few aftermarket upgrades which are: · Linex bedliner applied right after purchase. $600 · Rollbak brand roll top style hard bed cover. $1,800 · Thick padded Bedrug mat to keep things from sliding around. $100 · I also added a power lock to the tailgate to locks and unlocks along with the doors via the key/remote. This makes the entire bed a great secure and out of sight storage area. $250 · Smoke black LED taillights and third brake light. $450 · K&N cold air intake system. $300 · Husky molded floor liners (front and back) that were installed when purchased so carpets are like new under them. $250 · Less than 10,000 miles on a set of top of the line Michelin LTX MS tires which ride better and quieter that the original factory tires, tread still looks new and they are a 60,000 mile warranted tire. $1,600 Other factory highlights of the vehicle are the great Alpine sound system coupled with the Navigation system which also plays DVD’s and pairs up with your phone via Bluetooth which is crystal clear and makes driving a talking on the phone a breeze. Also has crystal clear back-up camera that even works well in low light conditions. Truck has remote start that also turns on the heated seats, heated steering wheel and defrost when it is below 36 degrees. Conversely when it is warm (not sure of the exact temperature setting) it turns the air conditioning on high to cool the vehicle down for you. This truck has only been in four-wheel drive a few times when we have had a little snow here in Western Washington and on a few ski trips, never used in off-road type of conditions. A majority of the miles on this truck are from road trips to our kids sporting tournaments so there is very little wear on this vehicle. There are three very minor dings on this vehicle, two are in the front bumper and one in the rear bumper, these are from very slowly bumping the large concrete blocks in the parking lot where I work. They are not very noticeable but if you would like you can buy both bumpers here on ebay for about $500 total. I am only selling this vehicle due to a change in my job assignment. I have a very good reputation here on ebay (including a couple of vehicle sales) so you can bid with confidence and know that this truck is in the excellent condition as described. The miles listed are the quantity of miles on the vehicle now, the actual miles at time of sale will be slightly higher since i will be driving it from time to time until sold. I also have this vehicle for sale locally and reserve the right to end this auction early in the event I sell it locally. Truck is sold as is where is so shipping is your responsibility. If you choose to ship the vehicle I will work with your shipper to coordinate getting it loaded, if you want to fly in and drive the vehicle I will meet you at the airport in Seattle. Good Luck and Happy Bidding |

FCA CEO Mike Manley will run Americas for Stellantis after PSA merger
Sun, Dec 20 2020DETROIT — Fiat Chrysler CEO Mike Manley will run operations in the Americas when his company merges with FranceÂ’s PSA Peugeot early next year. FCA Chairman John Elkann announced ManleyÂ’s new post on Friday in a letter to employees. ManleyÂ’s role in the merged company had been a mystery. PSA CEO Carlos Tavares will run the overall company, to be named Stellantis. Shareholders of both companies will vote on the merger Jan. 4 to seal the deal creating the worldÂ’s fourth-largest automaker. The merger is expected to be completed by the end of March. PSA will get six seats on the new companyÂ’s 11-member board, which will be chaired by Elkann. The Americas, especially the U.S., are key to the new companyÂ’s success. Fiat ChryslerÂ’s Jeep and Ram brands are highly profitable, and Tavares has long wanted to sell PSA vehicles in the U.S. Manley has been the Italian-American automakerÂ’s CEO for 2 1/2 years, taking over when Sergio Marchionne died in 2018. Stellantis will have the capacity to produce 8.7 million cars a year, just behind Volkswagen, the Renault-Nissan alliance and Toyota. Ford F-450 claims best-in-class towing, company abandons practice of removing items to boost payload number
Tue, 02 Sep 2014The ongoing heavy-duty truck battle between Ford and Ram is showing no signs of slowing down. The Blue Oval is trying to remove at least one point of contention between the two brands by testing its 2015 F-450 Super Duty using the Society of Automotive Engineers J2807 towing standard, which Ram also uses. In the new evaluation, the F-450 is rated at a max towing capacity of 31,200 pounds. That's an identical amount as under Ford's own, previous test.
"We leave no doubt with customers that the F-450 pickup truck has best-in-class towing of 31,200 pounds - whether tested using our own internal towing standards or SAE J2807," said Raj Nair, Ford group vice president for Global Product Development, in the company's release.
At the same time, Ford is also changing how it calculates the F-450's payload. Instead of using its minimum curb weight as before, the brand is now using the truck's base curb weight. The revision lowers the pickup's rating to 5,300 pounds, compared to 5,450 pounds previously. The company said in its announcement that the reason for this is "aligning its payload rating practices with other manufacturers to make it easier for customers to compare vehicles." General Motors made a similar switch for its pickups in August.
Chrysler 3.0L EcoDiesel V6: Autoblog Technology of the Year finalist
Wed, 19 Nov 2014Offering a diesel engine in an American pickup is anything but new - Ford, General Motors and Chrysler all offer excellent and almost impossibly powerful oil-burning engines in their various fullsize trucks. What is new and novel about the 3.0L EcoDiesel, though, is its size, and the variety of vehicles that use it. It's the smallest engine, as far as displacement is concerned, currently offered in a large truck in the US, and, for 2014 and 2015, it is available in the Ram 1500 and the Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Though it may be small, it's got muscle. While 240 horsepower isn't particularly impressive these days, the engine's 420 pound-feet of torque more than makes up for that. The torque rating is even greater force than even the big 5.7-liter Hemi can muster. Chrysler's well-regarded eight-speed automatic transmission makes the most of all that bull-headed pulling power in both the Ram and Grand Cherokee. Chrysler claims the Ram EcoDiesel 1500 can tow as much as 9,200 pounds when properly equipped, which makes it "90-percent of the Hemi with a night and day difference in fuel economy."
Make no mistake; it's that promise of a sizable fuel economy improvement that many long-haul truckers will be most interested in. In the Ram 1500 that we tested for our Tech of the Year competition, the diesel engine costs $2,850 more than the gas-fed V8, and Ram estimates that EcoDiesel buyers will pay off their investment when compared to the Hemi engine in less than three years, which is considerably less time than the 4.5 or so years the average buyer will keep his or her fullsize pickup. The more you drive, the more you'll save, and the math proves equally as effective in the Jeep Grand Cherokee.
