Airbags did not deploy

The truck has upgraded factory 20” chrome wheels and the very clean exterior is sure to please its new owner.   All oil changes and service work has been done by the Dodge dealer where the truck was purchased.  This can be verified by the over 20 reports available through Car Fax.

Exterior condition.  There are a couple small rock chips on the windshield on the passenger side, but nothing that I fear of “spidering” out.  They have been there over a year and no change in size since.  There are few very small rock chips on the front edge of hood as well due to normal driving, but again, nothing I felt required attention.  There is a paint spill spot on the inside of the bed on the bedliner.  I never worried about it since I planned on removing the bedliner and having a spray-on liner installed.

Interior condition: The beautiful tan and dark brown leather interior is all stock and still looks like new.  It has upgraded color matched floor mats that make the interior look nice and clean (I used clear plastic floor mats over the top as not to wear out the floor mats).  Everything works in the truck; lights, gauges, seats, windows, locks, a/c blows cold etc.  All of the original books, original window sticker, and 4 key fobs included (two with auto-start option and two fobs without auto start). This is a NON SMOKER vehicle.

Mechanically: This Ram is in excellent condition and runs and drives very nice.  It has very healthy eight cylinder motor (390 horsepower and 407 pound-feet of torque) that is very strong and an automatic transmission that shifts nice and smooth.  This truck is ready to hit the street and looks good doing it!  Here is your chance to own a beautiful Dodge Ram at a fraction of its original price.  A recall on the rear differential pinion nut recently came out and I took the truck into the dealer and had this service performed on 6/24, so the Carfax report showing the recall is not updated with this information.

Additional Car Fax information on Warranty:

Kelly Blue Book Private Party price range is $29,091 to $32,691 (Fair to Excellent condition range).  I would say the truck is in Very Good Condition, which is a $31,991 value, and with the CarFax recommended price adjustment of + $1590, the recommended price is $33,581.  My reserve price is thousands $$ less than that.

Service records: The CarFax report I ran on June 12, 2014 indicates over 20 service records on file which proves and identifies all fo the regular services and maintenance that has been done on this vehicle. I have never let anyone touch the vehicle besides the dealer I bought it from.   I just had oil changed and tires rotated at 64,700 miles along with the recall work for the differential pinion nut, which was done after the CarFax report on 6/12/14.

The truck is driven daily so mileage will increase slightly during the auction listing.  I also have the truck for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time for a local sale. I do have a bank loan on the vehicle so upon payment, I will need a some time for the check to clear to pay off the loan and get the title cleared to me to transfer to the new owner.  Missouri does have the owner retain the title, but it shows the bank lien.  Shouldn’t be any issues in taking care of this during days when the bank is open (Mon-Sat) as my bank is three blocks from my house.

I can email the CarFax report to anyone interested in looking at the information and service record information.

FCA looking into Ram-based SUV, midsize pickup

Thu, Jul 21 2016

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) is looking into manufacturing a large SUV based on the Ram 1500 pickup truck's current platform, reports USA Today. If built, the SUV would compete against the Chevrolet Tahoe and could even spawn a smaller pickup. Ram already has most of the bases covered with its current lineup, but a smaller pickup truck would allow it to enter the booming midsize pickup segment where it would compete with the segment-leading Toyota Tacoma along with the Chevy Colorado and GMC, which are the newest entries. Mike Manley, head of Fiat Chrysler's Jeep and Ram brands, told USA Today that the current platform found in the Ram 1500 could be utilized for a body-on-frame SUV. With a large SUV, FCA would be able to capitalize on the ever-growing SUV market and go toe-to-toe with General Motors (GM) and Ford. The next-generation of Ram pickup trucks is expected to go on sale in early 2018, which would put a large SUV close behind. In an attempt to increase the automaker's production capacity, FCA also plans to move Ram's current production facility from Warren to Sterling Heights, MI. With Jeep continually posting healthy numbers, it makes perfect sense for FCA to build more SUVs. GM currently uses the same platform on a plethora of its SUVs with good results, which makes FCA's proposed plan a viable option. Raminator sets world record for fastest monster truck [w/video]

Tue, Dec 16 2014

Monster trucks are made for a lot of things: crushing jalopies, jumping over jalopies, wowing spectators while crushing and jumping over jalopies, and so on. But powerful as they tend to be, monster trucks are not built for outright speed. Still, one has to be faster than another, and as it turns out, Raminator is the fastest of them all. Alongside Rammunition and the new Mopar Muscle, Raminator is one of three Ram-based monster trucks run by the Hall Brothers Racing Team with support from Chrysler. It's been named Truck of the Year by the Monster Truck Racing Association a record eight times, its driver Mark Hall has been named the association's Driver of the Year nine times and its crew chief Tim Hall its Mechanic of the Year five times. And now Raminator and the Hall Brothers have claimed the Guinness World Record for the fastest monster truck, recording a top speed of 99.10 miles per hour to break the previous record of 96.8 mph. The record was set at the Circuit of the Americas, the 3.4-mile track built on the outskirts of Austin, Texas, to host the United States Grand Prix. Aside from Formula One, the track has hosted endurance racing, touring cars and motorbikes, and while Raminator may not be the fastest vehicle ever to lap the circuit, it's surely one of the biggest. Scope out the video from the record run below. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Raminator Monster Truck and Hall Brothers Racing Team Shatter Guinness World Records® Record: Fastest Speed for a Monster Truck America's fastest growing truck brand breaks speed record for monster trucks at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas December 15, 2014 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - Raminator, a monster truck sponsored by the Ram Truck brand, has broken the Guinness World Records® record for the "Fastest Speed for a Monster Truck" at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas. Hitting a new record speed of 99.10 miles per hour (mph), Raminator and driver Mark Hall secured the Guinness World Records title at 8:44 a.m. (CT), breaking the previous record of 96.8 mph. As the fastest growing truck brand in America, the Ram Truck brand is a long time sponsor of the fastest Monster Truck, the Raminator. The Ram-sponsored monster truck lineup includes the 2014 Monster Truck Nationals Champion Raminator and Rammunition, sponsored since 2002. In 2014, Mopar also introduced Mopar Muscle; the monster truck it sponsors.

China's Great Wall confirms its interest — in Jeep, or all of FCA

Tue, Aug 22 2017

HONG KONG/SHANGHAI — Chinese automaker Great Wall Motor reiterated its interest in Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV on Tuesday, but said it had not held talks or signed a deal with executives at the Italian-American automaker. China's largest sport utility vehicle manufacturer made a direct overture to Fiat Chrysler on Monday, with an official saying the company was interested in all or part of FCA, owner of the Jeep and Ram truck brands. Automotive News first reported the news, quoting Great Wall Motor President Wang Fengying as saying she planned to contact FCA to discuss acquiring the Jeep brand specifically. Those comments sent FCA shares higher but also raised questions over the ability of China's seventh-largest automaker by sales to buy larger Western rival FCA, or even Jeep, which some analysts value at as much as one-and-a-half times FCA. Great Wall sought to dampen speculation on Tuesday. It confirmed it had studied Fiat Chrysler, but said there was "no concrete progress so far" and "substantial uncertainty" over whether it would eventually bid. "The company has not built any relationship with the directors of FCA nor has the company entered into any discussion or signed any agreements with any officer of FCA so far," the company said in an English-language stock exchange filing. It did not give further detail. Fiat Chrysler stock dipped on the statement on Tuesday. Great Wall said trading in its Shanghai-listed shares would resume on Wednesday after having been suspended. Fiat Chrysler declined to comment on Great Wall's statement. On Monday, it said it had not been approached and was fully committed to implementing its current business plan. FLUSHING OUT RIVALS? Great Wall Motor, which was early to spot China's love of SUVs, had revenue of $14.8 billion last year and sold 1.07 million vehicles - but that compares with FCA's 2016 revenue of 111 billion euros ($130.6 billion). Analysts said Great Wall would need to raise both debt and equity to complete any deal, meaning its chairman Wei Jianjun could lose majority control. One possible scenario, according to analysts at Jefferies, would see Wei keeping a roughly 30 percent stake, while Great Wall would raise $10-$14 billion in debt and $10 billion in equity - hefty for a group currently worth just $16 billion. Ultimately, politics could be the clincher.
