FOR SALE:

2011 Ram 1500 Crew Cab 4x4 Big Horn Edition.  The truck has approximately 23,196 miles on it with gorgeous metallic black paint.  The black paint on black wheels is a real head-turner; I get compliments everywhere I go.  The truck has a fixed center council with built in gear selector, 110V outlet, and plenty of storage.  The truck has a technology and luxury package featuring steering wheel controls, power sliding rear window, illuminated approach, 3 homelink garage door openers, tire pressure sensors, auto-dimming mirror, and in-dash vehicle monitoring.  Additionally, the Ram has an auto-4WD feature which is great in those varying road conditions that do not warrant full-time 4WD.  This Ram is still protected under factory warranty and I have all the original paperwork for it.

Please refer to the following upgrades, approximately $5000 invested!

3/2 inch suspension lift kit
35x12.5 inch Nitto Trail Grappler tires (70% tread life)
20 inch XD Addict rims
K&N cold air intake
Trailer brake controller
Mopar tow mirrors (rotate upward)
JVC CD/DVD touch screen head unit with ipod controls
Spray-in bedliner
Window vent visors
Kicker CVR10 inch subwoofer under the rear seat
Kicker 350.1 Mono block amplifier

This truck is absolutely perfect with low mileage, well maintained, and drives like a dream.  We are moving to another state and decided to sell to truck to free up funding for a new house.  The vehicle is located in Flandreau, SD but I may be able to assist in transporting the vehicle if the destination is reasonable.

This Ram blue books for approximately $30,700 without the upgrades.

Who sold the most heavy-duty pickups in 2012? PickupTrucks.com investigates

Tue, 26 Feb 2013

Domestic manufacturers enjoyed a good year for heavy-duty pickup sales in 2012. PickupTrucks.com has taken a close look at exactly how those sales broke down between each manufacturer and between three-quarter and one-ton pickups. Ford sold some 67,786 F-250 Super Duty models last year with the Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD falling just behind at 56,359 units. The Ram 2500 HD came in third at 41,918, while the GMC Sierra 2500 HD earned itself fourth place with 27,616 deliveries. While Ford held onto the top spot in the one-ton market, Ram easily nailed down second place by selling more 3500 HD models last year than General Motors sold Silverado 3500 HD and Sierra 3500 HD trucks combined.
So, did GM manage to sell more trucks than Ford with its two brands? Very nearly. Ford sold a total of 119,338 heavy-duty pickups to GM's 111,555. Ram, meanwhile, moved a distant 77,583. But perhaps more interesting is the diesel take rate in this segment. PickupTrucks.com says 80 percent of all domestic one-ton trucks roll from the dealer lot with a turbo-diesel under the hood. Head over to the site for a closer look at the breakdown.

Ram 1500 Mossy Oak Edition ready to start Truck Dynasty in the Motor City

Mon, 13 Jan 2014

Throughout the last half of the 20th Century and extending into the 21st, our country has had an on-again, off-again love affair with redneck culture. Urban Cowboy begot The Dukes of Hazzard which bled into the Ernest movies, which, in turn, paved the way for the long locks of Joe Dirt and Kid Rock. These days Duck Dynasty is the ignoble standard bearer for the hillbilly way of life - a group that would undoubtedly feel right at home in the latest offering from Ram, the 2014 Ram 1500 Mossy Oak Edition.
Custom designed for the hunters, fishers and other outdoors-folks that make up the Ram customer base (according to the company's press release) the latest instantiation of the Mossy Oak boasts a liberal daubing of camouflage. The camo rides on top of your choice of Black, Black Gold Pearl, Prairie Pearl and with either a Canyon Brown or Frost Beige interior. All of the Mossy Oak Edition trucks are 4X4s with a Crew Cab body, perfect for hauling your hunting buddies out into the wild places of the world.
Fashionable redneck culture doesn't come cheap apparently; the Ram 1500 Mossy Oak Edition starts at $39,985 with a $1,195 destination fee.

Mopar Muscle is Monster Jam's first OEM monster truck in over a decade

Fri, 10 Jan 2014

New monster trucks seem to join the Monster Jam circuit every year, but it's not often that one gets the official blessing of an automaker. That's about to change, however, as Chrysler's truck division has teamed up once again with Hall Brothers Racing - which already fields the championship-winning Raminator and Rammunition trucks - to field the series' first new Original Equipment Manufacturer monster truck in over a decade.
Dubbed Mopar Muscle, the new Ram monster truck will debut at the Monster Jam in Detroit on Saturday at Ford Field, at the first of six such events in which Mike Miller (who, incidentally, named his son Hemi) will drive the truck throughout the year.
Here's what you need to know: Based on a 2014 Ram HD pickup (or at least made to look like one), Mopar Muscle stands 10 feet tall and weighs over 10,000 pounds, and it's powered by the legendary Gen II 426 Hemi that celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. But instead of leaving the massive 7.0-liter engine as is, Hall Brothers Racing enlarged it to 565 cubic inches - a mind-boggling 9.3 liters - and supercharged it to 2,000 horsepower. That's a whole lot of muscle no matter what it's packed into. Check it out in our high-res image gallery above. You can also check out the full schedule of events in the press release below to see if the truck is coming to your area this year.
