The car is still under factory warranty from Porsche. I just had it serviced as well. We have not had any issues with the car. We barely used it at our house in Hawaii. It is the AWD model with moonroof, leather, sport suspension, Bi-xenon, autostart options.
This is a limited edition color. The car was always garaged and in excellent condition. Non-smoker, no pets... The tires are good as well. IT does not need any servicing at hi time since everything is up to date. No dings dents or scratches except for a little scuff on the right front of the bumper which you can see in the pics. The interior is very clean and still smells new. We brought the car to California from Hawaii since we moved. We bought a different car so we are selling this one. It seems everyone is celebrating anniversaries this year: it's Aston's hundredth, Lamborghini's fiftieth, Ford Mustang's fiftieth, Chevy Corvette's sixtieth - and Tesla just turned ten or something. It's been a little out of hand, frankly, all these forced marketing festivities, but if we had to pick one milestone to really celebrate hard and party all night, the Porsche 911 would be at the top of our list.
Get ready for a major 911 blowout bash at next week's Frankfurt Motor Show. It was on September 12 back in 1963 at this very show where Porsche unveiled its "901" painted in a rather boring shade of beige. Though drably finished, the car caused a worldwide frenzy in the budding German sports car sphere.
Porsche close to fix for 911 GT3 engine fires
Sun, 16 Mar 2014It looks like 2014 Porsche 911 GT3 drivers might actually get to drive their cars again soon. Reports of fires affecting the track-ready Germans first began about a month ago. Then, a few days later, the automaker confirmed two of the five alleged blazes and said owners shouldn't drive their cars until further notice. Porsche then went so far as to offer to pick up the GT3s and transport them to the nearest dealer until the problem was identified and a fix was found. Finally, there appears to be a repair.
"We know the reason and the problem-solving measures. We're testing them," said Porsche CEO Matthias Müller to Bloomberg. The technical fix will be released to owners shortly.
The recall affects all 785 GT3s that have been sold so far, but there have been no reported injuries caused by the fires. When it first announced the safety campaign, Porsche said: "Internal studies to determine the cause of the engine damage have not been completed yet."
