2006 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S Sport Utility 4.5l Twin Turbo 520hp 22's on 2040-cars
Pooler, Georgia, United States
Up for sale is a rare production 1 of 600 2006 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S. This vehicle is in excellent condition, I am the second owner and purchased this vehicle with 38K miles on it. If you check car fax it will say there have been 3 owners but that is because I bought it and titled it in my business name and when I sold the business I retitled it in my name here in Georgia. I have LOVED owning this and plan to buy another one! It is one of Porsche's strongest engines ever built at "520 horsepower, 530 foot-pound, bi-turbo V8 2006 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S is the world's most insanely powerful and quietly refined SUV". It was still more powerful than anything from Porsche in 2007, 2008, 2011 or 2012, and today is still more powerful than the (standard) 2014 Turbo model!" The Turbo S has huge front grilles for cooling via the Twin Turbos and Twin Intercoolers. The Turbo S comes with nothing less than 20" wheels, needed to clear the gigantic 15" diameter front brake rotors this rare one has 22's! There is a small piece of plastic trim missing at the base of the driver side exterior door mirror, this would barely be noticeable if I didn't tell you. I was driving and a bird flew down and hit the mirror, there is no damage to the power mirror. I just wanted to disclose it. There is an in depth review of both the rarity and uniqueness of this perfectly pieced together vehicle here: <a href=" http://kenrockwell.com/porsche/cayenne-turbo-s/#driving"> Note: Vehicle comes with almost EVERY package option aforementioned in the review. Bi Xenon headlights, cornering lights, towing package, wood grain interior package including steering wheel, Navigation, multi disc CD, Bose Surround sound, satellite radio, power steering wheel tilt AND power telescoping steering wheel, front and rear heated seats, porsche embossed headrests, bluetooth, AND I have both sets of keys. Escort Shifter Z3 anti radar system is installed in the front grill and rear license plate just plug your radar detector into the pre wired cord above the rear view mirror and you are all set! This one does not have the back up camera but does have front, side and rear park assist. All manuals and original leather porsche booklet holder included. The black on black is the most coveted combination! Vehicle is in excellent condition, it has 108,000 miles and I just replaced the cooling pipes and brakes all the way around and everything is more than good to go for a very very long time. I am driving it until it sells so it may have a few more miles on it when you pick it up. I reserve the right to end the auction early as the vehicle is for sale locally. It was babied all it's life, has always been garage kept and has never had an accident, ding, or any other sort of mechanical issue. All maintenance has been performed at Porsche dealers and I will give you all receipts. In you like you can contact the service manager at Porsche of Hilton Head (Michael Lane) as he told me to list it in "EXCELLENT CONDITION" from every aspect of the machine mechanically and aesthetically. As I said, it is in amazing condition and many people tell me they can't believe it's a 2006 when they see it! I encourage you to do research and even come by to see it for yourself and drive it.. truly one of a kind. Every piece of the engine was meticulously bred and tweaked to the race-car like masterpiece that you are viewing today.. not to mention the fact that it can be an incredibly smooth and logical daily driver as well. You will NOT be disappointed with this black beauty!!!! Available for Savannah, Georgia greater area pickup. If you would like it shipped, you will pay the cost of shipping.** As is- As I said, in person evaluations are encouraged! I also encourage doing research on the vehicle. I am incredibly confident in this vehicle. Kelly Blue Book value on this vehicle is $33K. Immediate payment of $500.00 is due and non refundable if balance is not received within 7 business days of auction end. I have a balance owed and will produce clear title to lucky buyer after funds have cleared. Thanks for looking and feel free to call me with any/all questions! Ron 810-434-9051 |

Porsche 911 GT2 caught testing, is super bad
Thu, 27 Jun 2013Look what spy photographers have spotted sprinting around the Nürburgring. Our shooters nabbed a few photos of the all-new Porsche 911 GT2 in its native habitat without any of the bulky camouflage or cladding we're used to seeing. The result is our first truly clear view at the upcoming successor to the GT2 throne. From the looks of it, the new model will boast wider fender arches front and rear, and hefty air intakes set into the machine's hips should help feed a beastly 3.8-liter flat six-cylinder engine. Early guesses put the engine output somewhere around 560 horsepower.
Mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, the engine should propel this rear-engined heathen to 62 miles per hour in under three seconds. Top speed? Try somewhere around 200 mph. If that's true, the next-generation 911 GT2 will be the fastest 911 in Porsche history.
Porsche 911 GT3 RS spec sheet leaked, promises 500 hp
Mon, Feb 23 2015Axis of Oversteer has three pages of what's purported to be the spec sheet for the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, and it's got a few bolded items noting key differences with the already spectacular 911 GT3. Prime among them is its output, pegged at exactly 500 horsepower and 339 pound-feet of torque, which looks at first blush to be a minor bump: just 25 hp and 14 lb-ft over the GT3, and the redline drops 200 rpm to 8,800 rpm. If the document is accurate, though, there will be a hefty dose of weight loss to make the most of it. The bodyshell and doors are aluminum, carbon fiber reinforced plastic is used for those vented front fenders (the vanes are plastic), the front trunklid, the rear engine cover, and the rear wing, while the roof is made of magnesium and the side windows are polycarbonate. The bucket seats, door entry guards, and other interior trim pieces are also fashioned from CFRP, and it gets lightweight door panels with pull-loops. Elsewhere around the coupe, the body grows wider by 50 millimeters in front and 30 mm in back over a track that's 36 mm wider. There's a pit-lane speed limiter for track days, tinted taillights, an optional Clubsport package with a six-point seatbelt, and GT3 RS logos everywhere. It's looking more and more like this car was developed to define the word "epic." The Volkswagen Group switches official language to English
Wed, Dec 14 2016The Volkswagen Group can't be fairly thought of as entirely German anymore, so the news that the company is switching its official language to English to help attract managers and executives is a rational, if surprising, decision. While many VW Group companies are still staidly German in character and culture, consider the other companies that it controls: Bentley (British), Bugatti (French), Ducati and Lamborghini (Italian), Skoda (Czech), Scania trucks (Swedish), and SEAT (Spanish). Not to mention the large Volkswagen Group of America operation, which constructs cars in Chattanooga, TN. Volkswagen's explicit motivation is to improve management recruitment – making sure the company isn't losing out on candidates for important positions because they can't speak German – and that's inherently sensible in a globalized economy. Particularly considering, like it or lump it, that English is the lingua franca of said global economy. It also should make it inherently easier to communicate between its world-wide subsidiaries and coordinate operations. It's hard to say for sure if this will have any impact on the consumer, although it's easy to see the benefits if, say, VW Group hires some American product planners or engineers and they push for features and designs that more closely suit American needs. After all, the US is a hugely important market for any manufacturer, and so the switch to English almost certainly has something to do with the outsized influence of the US in the global economy. And there doesn't seem to be a downside from a purely rational perspective, although it could mean that the Group's corporate culture becomes less German. Whether that's a good or a bad thing depends on your perspective.
