Tires are at approximately 40% tread left. Synthetic Oil used since new. Lady driven since new. Selling due to new Cayenne on order. Car Fax shows MINOR Accident in 2009, but this was a Motorcycle that slowly slid into Front Driver side Tire. No damage whatsoever. Tire only needed re balancing. No Rim damage. Take a POV hot lap in the Porsche 918 Spyder
Mon, 14 Apr 2014That title about says it all. This is a hot lap of the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, TX, with Porsche Works Driver Patrick Long at the wheel of a Porsche 918 Spyder. The camera is basically showing us everything that Long sees, making this not just one of the coolest 918 videos we've seen, but also one of the neatest laps of CoTA.
As Long peers through the bends, so will you. You'll see him fight the wheel, and find out just how difficult it is to hustle this hybrid hypercar around a world-class track at speed. It's pretty darn entertaining. There are also a few scattered shots of the 918's exterior just to break up the interior awesomeness, although we aren't exactly complaining about those. Porsche Fire and Ice is chilling art born of flames
Wed, 01 Jan 2014Porsche held a contest inviting ten filmmakers to riff on the tagline for the Panamera, "Thrilling Contradictions," in a 60-second film. The winner was an entry called Fire and Ice by director Ross Cohen, a concept that uses just those two elements in a premise as simple as it is rewarding. For his efforts, Cohen will receive a trip to the Chicago International Film Festival, and you might see the short in the pre-movie advertisements in a theater served by Spotlight Cinema Networks.
Porsche did this kind of thing just two years ago, when it asked filmmakers to illustrate the idea of "Everyday Magic". The winner of that contest, Michael Korbel's It's a Magical Life, followed the journey of a young man to husband and father from the perspective of the trunk of a 911. Here, Top Gear sets up a three-way drag race against the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S, Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR, and Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT, and the results show just how quickly these high-riding models can cross the quarter mile. The Cherokee SRT is the patriotic choice among the three, but it's down on power in this fight.
