This Cayenne S is sexy, sleek, extra-clean and priced thousands below retail. Certainly the best color combination. The Brilliant Silver Metallic exterior compliments the supple and extremely luxurious Ash Grey leather interior nicely, and combined with elaborate wood trim and wood and leather-wrapped steering wheel, this S has all the bells and whistles. Everything! It has the Luxury Package ($1,400 option) and both the exterior and interior are in excellent condition. Free of any dents or parking lot door dings, scuffs or scrapes, the factory finish is brilliant. The interior is extra-clean as well, free of any rips or tears and this vehicle was owned by a non-smoker. They consciously used Weather Tech mats throughout the cabin, including the rear storage area, so all the carpeted areas have remained extra-clean. A complete set of original Porsche mats come with this vehicle as well.

Tinted windows round out this sleek look and have kept the rich leather interior cool and free from the sun's harmful rays. Factory Roof Rack, and retractable side mirrors offer great functionality, but the incredible wheel/tire combination is really what sets this Cayenne S apart from the rest. Not many of these available, so this is truly a Rare find! But combined with this $8,000 wheel/tire combination from Porsche, this Cayenne S looks outstanding! This one get looks and stares everywhere because of its appearance, as well as condition-- and is an absolute pleasure to drive. Just as you would expect with extremely low mileage, it runs and drives superbly. Nearly-new, aggressively-styled BFGoodrich Force performance radials allow it to handle and ride like a dream and they grip the road extremely well. All-Wheel Drive performance allows it to handle precisely in any driving condition, Wet or Dry! This is one premium SUV that rides and drives as well as it looks!

This one-owner Porsche Cayenne S has enormous power from its 340 horsepower 32 valve 4.5 liter powerplant and 6-speed automatic transmission. It has a Tip-Tronic transmission as well, for those of you that like taking the race course to the street! Shifts nice and smooth and this Luxury SUV has tons of torque. Can a Corvette really be compared to a 911 with options costing more than the Chevy?

Wed, 29 Jan 2014

In this latest video from Drive, Chris Harris asks straight away, "Can you still compare a base Corvette to a Porsche Carerra?" That's an particularly interesting question in this film, as the 911 in question is a 400-horsepower Carrera S model that's been fitted with $60,000 in options. Base price of a Corvette Stingray? $51,995. Harris' tester features an automatic and some other goodies that push it right up to that $60,000 range. So yes, the options on the Porsche cost as much as this entire 460-hp Chevrolet.
Harris stresses that this isn't a full review, but he does exercise both cars in a more composed manner before reverting to his traditionally exuberant driving style. The impressions are, as always, spot on, with Harris favoring the pointy nature and V8 power of the Stingray, while enjoying the gearbox (Porsche's exceptional PDK transmission) and just about everything else on the 911.
Take a look below for the latest video from Drive, and let us know if you agree with Mr. Harris' views on these two sports cars.

Porsche creates 'symphony' with seven generations of 911

Wed, 02 Oct 2013

At Porsche, things are getting a bit wild on the 50th anniversary year of the 911. To celebrate it (again) in yet another inventive way, the automaker has called on the musical talents of seven generations of the rear-engine sports car (please suspend your disbelief, at least for the length of the video, and assume that generation two started in 1974) to perform a song that has eight notes. We're wondering which 911 is pulling double duty...
But before the Porsches are lined up for the short recital, the drivers let loose and drift them inside a hangar. Watch the video below, and tell us in comments which was more impressive: the song or the drifting.

2015 Porsche Macan Turbo

Mon, 06 Jan 2014

The misinformation first started back in May of 2007 - more than six years ago - when word came that Porsche was developing a compact utility vehicle to fill out its product line. Rumors swirled that the German automaker's future "Roxster" would be based on the then-upcoming Audi Q5. By September of 2010, the name had changed to "Cajun," but the vehicle was still expected to be "based heavily on the Audi Q5," said reports in the months that followed. One year later, the first test mules were spotted, the mechanics hidden beneath barely disguised Audi sheetmetal, which did nothing to give the upcoming model its own identity. And even after Porsche announced "Macan" as the vehicle's production name in early 2012, articles stated that it would "arrive on the same chassis as the Audi Q5, though with suspension, brake and engine tweaks suitable to the Porsche range."
It's no wonder that most still consider the all-new Porsche Macan nothing more than a heavily massaged Q5.
To help lift some of the mystery surrounding its latest release, Porsche hosted us in Germany for an in-depth look at its new crossover (while Europeans call it a "sport utility," its car platform allows us to call it a proper CUV). The technology workshop offered us insight to the design and mechanical execution, and it concluded with a short test ride. The trip was both enlightening and educational - and it left us with a whole new perspective on the Macan.
