09 Porsche Cayenne Gts, Super Rare 1 Of 1, Six Speed Manual, Macadamia Metallic on 2040-cars
New York, New York, United States
RARE, RARE, RARE........... ONE OF ONE IN THIS
COLOR COMBO WITH A 6 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION!!! Only two owners from brand new, this car was a special order direct from Porsche. Loaded with almost every option, Nav, Panoramic Roof, Heated Seats the list goes on. It even has the matching brown cluster. The GTS is by far the nicest cayenne to own, the interior finish is exquisite. Beautiful use of leather and alcantara, the right amount of luxury and sport feel combined. The car sounds amazing when you engage the sport button, sounds like a proper porsche, the 405bph V8 sounds just plain naughty on the exhaust overrun. The Car truly is stunning and needs nothing except a new owner. Rare opportunity. These cars in Macadamia Metallic do not hit the market often, be the only in the country to have one with a 6 speed manual. Pics don't do the car the justice it deserves, Must be seen and driven in person to be appreciated. No accidents, clean Title / Carfax. The GTS stick shifts are very rare, even rarer to find one with this color combo and options. The car is a gem, everything works as it should. All servicing and maintenance up to date, brakes / Tires etc all well above average, all this needs is a new owner. This thing will embarrass most Italian Supercars, a real sleeper, keep them guessing!!! All stock, never modified or abused. If you are looking for a unique SUV and want to stand out from the crowd, this is the car to do it in. Do not snooze on this one, definitely will not last long!!! Its the right car, with the right options and most importantly it is priced to sell. If you don't want to wait for the auction to end then contact me to make a deal. I can help with shipping anywhere in the Continental U.S / Worldwide, very affordable rates. May consider trade for Sportbike or something Exotic / German. Call / txt / email for more info.............Thanks, Marc - 551 998 5516 |

All Porsche 911s to get turbos in 2015?
Sun, 19 Oct 2014Currently, Porsche builds two turbocharged 911s - the Turbo and the Turbo S (and their cabriolet counterparts). The rest of the 911 range, meanwhile, is motivated by either 3.4- or 3.8-liter flat-sixes of varying outputs. This clear separation could be set to change in the very near future, though, as rumors continue to swirl that Porsche's rear-engined range could switch exclusively to turbocharged power.
This time, it's Car projecting that the 911 range will go turbocharged as part of a mid-cycle refresh, with the base Carrera's 3.4-liter dropping to 2.9 liters and adding an iron lung, bumping the entry level 911 up to 400 horsepower. Yes, a 400-horsepower, entry level 911. The Carrera S, meanwhile, will retain its 3.8-liter engine, but will also benefit from turbocharging, increasing output to 530 horsepower and 520 pound-feet of torque. So basically, it sounds like the current, 520-hp 911 Turbo will become the next Carrera S.
What does that mean for Porsche's traditional high-performance models? Well, it's a safe bet that the Turbo, Turbo S and eventual GT2 will be producing seriously huge power figures. Based on pure speculation, we wouldn't be shocked to see a 600-hp Turbo, with the S and GT2 increasing output markedly from there.
Autoblog Minute: VW Q3 financial woes, 2015 Tokyo Motor Show
Fri, Oct 30 2015Consumer Reports pulls its Tesla recommendation, the U.S. Copyright Office offers a ruling affecting car owners, VW gets hit hard with third-quarter losses, and lots of exciting news from Tokyo. Autoblog senior editor Greg Migliore reports on this edition of Autoblog Minute Weekly Recap. Show full video transcript text [00:00:00] Consumer Reports pulls its Tesla recommendation, the U.S. copyright office offers a ruling that affects car owners and gear heads, VW gets hit hard with third-quarter losses, and lots of exciting news from Tokyo. I'm senior editor Greg Migliore and this is your Autoblog Minute Weekly Recap. After a week away testing vehicles for Autoblog's Tech of the Year award, we're back in the office to recap the week in automotive news. [00:00:30] One of the things you might have missed was Consumer Reports pulling its recommendation of Tesla's Model S sedan. The blemish for Tesla comes after a tally of reviews from customer surveys. The most common problem areas for the Model S as cited by survey takers included: the drivetrain, power equipment, charging equipment, body and sunroof squeaks, rattles, and leaks. So lots of stuff. Though they could not ignore a score of "worse-than-average", Consumer Reports still [00:01:00] highlighted the fact that the Model S was "the best performing car" they've ever tested. Telsa CEO Elon Musk took to social media to defend his sedans saying: "Consumer Reports reliability survey includes a lot of early production cars. Already addressed in new cars." And, "Tesla gets top rating of any company in service. Most important, CR says 97% of owners expect their next car to be a Tesla (the acid test)." In Financial news, Volkswagen took a hit and reported an operating loss of [00:01:30] $3.84 billion. This is the first such loss for VW in 15 years. Toyota reclaimed the crown as the world's largest automaker as well. It's important that it's not all doom and gloom for VW though in Q3. Sales revenues were up and the company's automotive division boasts $30 billion dollars in liquid assets. It's a sizable war chest that will no doubt come in handy, as the company has yet to feel the full brunt of the diesel emissions scandal. Good news for gear heads. The US copyright office [00:02:00] ruled in favor of mechanics and car owners by granting an exception to existing copyright law. The law was originally meant to prevent software pirating and bootlegging of Hollywood movies.
Porsche reveals new LMP1 racecar testing ahead of 2014 Le Mans debut
Wed, 12 Jun 2013Getting ready for its triumphant return to the premier racing class of Le Mans, Porsche has released a handful of images showing its new LMP1 racecar testing. Porsche hasn't run a car in the Prototype class at 24 Hours of Le Mans since 2009, but this racecar - still veiled in secrecy - will be expected to battle against the Audi and Toyota LMP1 Prototypes to help bring Porsche its 17th Le Mans victory.
Aside from knowing that it will use a hybrid powertrain to meet LMP1 rules, there are no other details about the car... including its name or potential sponsors. In the meantime, Porsche has set up a microsite, called Mission 2014, to share its extensive history racing at Le Mans. Also, be sure to check out some of the past videos Porsche has released as it gears up for its reborn LMP1 program.
